Don’t Be Silent as Our Country Surrenders to Evil!

Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, Germany was devastated by the brutality of the Nazi regime. Though there was evidence of the Nazi’s cruelty early on, the German church believed its best course of action was to avoid politics and remain silent.

Unfortunately, that decision had disastrous consequences. Before they knew it, the Nazi’s controlled every facet of society, including the church. Eric Metaxas, author of Bonhoeffer written in 2010 describing the downfall of Germany, now says he could sense remnants of a similar evil tyranny starting in America as he was writing, but never thought he would see the American church traveling the same path as the Germans like it is today.

That’s why he wrote his new book, Letter to the American Church, to wake up pastors and churches to the tragedy awaiting America if we remain silent.

“The Germans said, ‘We’re the country of Martin Luther. We are the center of Protestantism in the world, we’re fine. We’re saved by faith. We don’t have to worry about what we do too much.’ That’s what set them up for the kill. That’s what allowed evil to triumph, and that is exactly where we are in the American church today.” – Eric Metaxas

Awareness brings responsibility but many people today would rather ignore the evil infiltrating not only our country, our schools, our communities, but also our churches! Because if we admit we have a problem, then the Bible calls on us to do something about it.

Ignorance is not bliss. It’s blasphemy against the Word of God that tells us to reject evil and share the Good News wherever and whenever we have the opportunity if we truly believe that even the worst sinner can be saved!

Silence is Compliance

We know abortion is murder! Why don’t we hear that in every church?

Have you seen the movie Sound of Freedom? We know America is now the biggest consumer of child trafficking, especially through our open borders. Does it sicken you? Why don’t we hear in the church how to be aware of it and help stop it?

We know the gay, trans, drag agenda is trying to normalize sex with children. Horrific pedophilia! Does that turn your stomach? Why isn’t the church speaking out forcefully against it?

Are we afraid to say what is so obvious that the White House is corrupt? Democrats and liberals support and lobby for everything I just mentioned. If you vote Democrat, you’re endorsing evil.

Our country is in a downward spiral because of the liberal progressive left agenda to oust God and the Judeo-Christian foundation and Constitution of our country. Think about that when you vote in any election. Or if you don’t vote, you’re voting for the other side. Yes, we are now in a situation of political good and evil and it can’t be denied!

Sen. James Lankford, a former pastor for 22 years and Oklahoma’s senior senator, is making religious liberty a pillar of his political agenda and claims the White House is failing to enforce basic protections on the issue and made these remarks in an interview with the Daily Wire. “Faith is not the freedom of worship. You have the freedom to be able to worship as you choose,” said Lankford. “It’s the freedom of religion. It’s the freedom to have a faith and live that faith. And so that’s been dear to me.” The senator went on to assert that President Biden’s administration has abandoned even basic legal protections for religious belief. 

Sadly, we’re not only in a political and social battle, we’re in a spiritual battle, and political candidates are choosing their sides between good and evil, with many calling evil good and good evil! Why don’t we hear about this in our churches?

What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter. Is. 5:20

I’ll make this one political statement for you to consider. Whether or not you “like” President Trump, he promised to appoint Constitutionalist Supreme Court Judges and he did that times three! We’ve seen Roe v Wade overturned, which many had given up hope. We just saw three judgements denying Biden’s attempt to cancel college debt, honoring religious rights of a Christian web designer, and eliminating race-based affirmative action. The liberals went ballistic over each of those judgments.

Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and moved the embassy there (which many previous Presidents promised but never did), closed the border, and created the best economy in years, just to name a few things! Consider before you vote what the candidates stand for and then vote your faith and your freedom.

Every Church Should Preach: We don’t deny Christ; we denounce Satan!

Paul encouraged the church of believers at Phillip:

27 Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. 28 Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself. Phil. 27-28 NLT

Righteousness exalts a nation. Sin destroys a nation. We are being destroyed from the inside. You have to wonder if there were 10 righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah if God would’ve saved the city. Do we have enough righteous people, saved by faith, in America to save our country? I pray we do, otherwise we’re on a fast track to destruction. Silent churches and silent Christians are fueling the disaster!

Metaxas describes it as a “spiral of silence.” You don’t hear evil talked about in church so you don’t talk about it. When you don’t talk about it, your friends, family, children, grandchildren don’t talk about it, while evil blatantly floods the airways, entertainment, media, government, America, and the church does nothing, just like in Germany.

Jesus was not afraid of being canceled, unsubscribed, or disliked. He unashamedly called out sin, untruths, and unjust rulers and politicians. Christians must do the same. He didn’t go to the Cross so we could continue sinning. He gave His life to offer a chance at repentance and forgiveness from sin with the opportunity of a new changed righteous life. That’s also our message and witness!

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Cor. 5:17 NLT

Courage Begets Courage! Cowardice Begets Cowards!

Christians are good at being good people, but we’re not always good at connecting our goodness to God. Dutch Sheets reminds us that, “Truth must be shared and when it is, it becomes a weapon.”

Luke 12:12 (NLT) assures that the Holy Spirit will give us a holy boldness: “For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said.”

God has equipped each of us to speak truth in all circumstances, and we can do all things through Him who gives us strength and courage.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Cor. 7:12 NKJV

We are people who love God more than evil, so we must commit to God whatever it takes. Whatever He calls us to do, we do it with a “Yes, Lord, use me” mentality whether we’re in church ministry or in our own family ministry. Yes, we should look at our home as a ministry ready and willing to serve Christ. If the next generation is raised in Christian homes, we will see a turnaround in our country.

For me, it’s praying and pouring into our children and grandchildren. Not all of them appreciate it or even acknowledge it, but we can’t let that intimidate or discourage us from doing the right thing, or worse yet, stop us from living overtly for Christ.

I heard a pastor say, “Freedom and blessings don’t begin at the White House, but in our house!” I would add, in our churches.

Each generation is blessed or cursed by the previous generation and what we’re watching now is definitely a curse to those coming after us. Everything evil in our culture is NOT acceptable in the Bible. In fact, the Bible tells us how to combat it. We’re not to be silent, but to speak out and stand up for righteousness.

We have all the promises of God and the future at our fingertips in the Scriptures, but how often are Bibles open and read in our homes? I hope that you would respond often, but if not, why not?

Just because we’re saved doesn’t mean we stop learning from and listening to God. Every day, as I read my Bible and devotionals, I hear Him giving me marching orders for the day or for my writing.

Producing a weekly blog, monthly newsletter, writing for Crosswalk and books takes a large chunk of my time and I’m often asked, “How do you do it?” My response, “Only God!”

Then I’m asked, “Is it worth it?” I heard a great response to that question from a man who helped organize the evacuation of 17,000 people out of Afghanistan after the horrible debacle of America pulling out and leaving not only Americans behind, but Afghani civilians who had worked with our military. When asked if it was worth it, he said, “It doesn’t have to be worth it to do the right thing. You do it because God calls you to do the right things.”

Just this morning, after hearing that answer last night, my devotional started out with 2 Kings 7:9 NKJV, Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent.”

Don’t remain silent. Share and live the Gospel and do not fear speaking out against the evil engulfing our world and our children. It’s our job to raise the next generation to know and love the Lord and protect them from the evil that so easily surrounds them. We can’t pretend that they’re not exposed to it, so we must prepare them to resist it.

Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. Ps. 145:4 NLT

Let Psalm 34:1-3 describe you! Replace “I” with your name. It will change you.
 I will praise the Lord at all times.
    I will constantly speak his praises.
2 I will boast only in the Lord;
    let all who are helpless take heart.
3 Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
    let us exalt his name together.

In her book, Journey to Confidence, Kimberly Sowell suggests we BOW before God and pray, asking Him to make us His witnesses. She suggests using the word BOW as a reminder to plead for: Boldness, Opportunity, and Words of Wisdom. Wisdom is actually my word for 2023!

Kimberly Sowell asks, “Would you be so adventurous as to not only be open to witness for Christ, but to petition Almighty God to grant you witnessing opportunities?”

I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name. Ps. 138:2 NLT

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Eph. 3:20-21 NLT

Truth is Love! Not Sharing Truth is Hate!

Christians know that God and His Word is our ultimate source of truth, victory, justice, and freedom! When we remain close to Him, we operate out of each of those realms, but when we distance ourselves from God, even as Christians, we falter.

Sadly, we’re living in a country with a culture that is determined to distance actions, accountability, laws, behavior, and morals as far away from God’s Truth as possible causing us all to suffer the consequences, even in the church.

To silence Christians, Satan is using the tactic of calling the speaking of truth hate speech and yet sharing the Truth of the Gospel is the most loving thing anyone can do to help someone experience eternal life and not eternal hell.

Sadly, many pastors today are afraid of the truth and so avoid even talking about the downfall of our culture that is being imposed on congregants as well as innocent children. They’ve forgotten that their role is to speak truth to power and protect their congregation from falling into the trap of accepting sinful lifestyles as normal. Speaking the truth is not hate, it’s love and every pastor’s assignment from God.

11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Eph. 4:11-13

I find it interesting and a little disconcerting that some politicians and grassroots activists’ groups are more willing to speak the truth than many pastors.

Kirk Cameron, actor and Christian children’s book author, spoke the truth that what the transgender activists did at the White House is not brave — in contrast to the words of the President, who characterized it as such. “That’s an abomination,” said Cameron, and a “disservice and disrespectful to the brave men and women [who fought] on the beaches of Normandy [June 6, 1944,]” he added, including his own grandfather — who was a Navy corpsman during World War II. “Bravery is a call to courage to do the right thing, not to violate morality and undermine the very foundations of America.”

Following are others who spoke out against the pornographic display of promiscuity and sexual perversion entertained by the President at the White House during a “Pride” event last week where the gay flag was displayed prominently, in breach of the US Flag Code, between two American flags and Biden said that men dressing up as women were the bravest people he’s ever known?! The military, police officers, fire fighters, first responders, and even his own Secret Service aren’t the bravest people he knows. No, in his deceived mind and soul he gives that distinction to depraved men sexually cavorting and flashing on the White House lawn.

 “I’m livid and incensed by this White House, not only for the kids present at this event, but the message this sends to children across the country. Biden’s disregard for commonsense and protocol is deeply troubling. This obscenity is never acceptable, let alone at the White House that belongs to the people.” Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C.

“This is yet another example of the radical left shoving trans propaganda in the face of the American people. In our schools, at the White House, where does it end? The fact that this happened on White House grounds makes Biden look like the real boob.” Conservative radio host and former California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder

Following is one of my favorite quotes because it states the truth so clearly and lovingly!

“When someone says they’re trans, it usually means something else is badly wrong in their life. Confirming the confusion isn’t compassion, it’s cruelty. Joe Biden is celebrating that cruelty. Let’s abandon the farce that the ‘humane’ thing to do is to affirm their confusion, rather than to actually help. It’s inhumane.” Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, Republican Presidential candidate

After the White House agreed that topless trans activists were “inappropriate and disrespectful” and would not be invited back to the White House, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also asked why anyone would want to have that kind of curriculum “jammed into a second-grader’s classroom?”

Here’s What Parents’ Rights Groups are Saying!

“I agree with Gov. DeSantis in his analogy to his parental rights bill,” Sheri Few, president and founder of United States Parents Involved in Education said. “If it is inappropriate for adults, why then is it OK for children? The same can be said for the pornographic and vulgar books in government schools that are being objected to by parents across the country. I believe Pride celebrations, with their lascivious and drunken displays, are a true reflection of the mental health issues that accompany this often promiscuous lifestyle. Attempting to make ‘LGBTQ Pride’ palatable for children is merely another way to indoctrinate children with the Leftist agenda.”

Parents’ Rights In Education Executive Director Suzanne Gallagher said, “Public display of nudity at the national capital, and elsewhere by extreme far left LGBTQAI+ activists is an extension of their larger agenda. It is the goal of the far left to change the culture, by removing all sexual moral stigma. They are doing so by using public schools and mandating K-12 comprehensive – every child, every grade, every subject – sexuality education.”

“The nationwide response we are receiving regarding this trend, promoting and demanding acceptance of all sexual behaviors at any age with anyone, is negative,” Gallagher added. “Most people want higher, not lower, moral standards for themselves and their kids.”

“Parents and allies are tired of seeing and hearing it everywhere, every day,” she added. “Students are done with it in their schools, too. Polls show the net effect is less, rather than more, respect for those demanding it.”

CEO of American Family Association Action, Walker Wildmon said, “Our nation was built on a respect for biblical morality and decency with immoral behavior discouraged and even outlawed in many cases. It is sad that what was once deemed indecent behavior that brought about shame is now being flaunted by the president and other leaders in our government. Our nation must return to a biblical ethic of family where we promote that which is truly good and acceptable.”

Amen!

What Are You Hearing in Your Churches?

Did you hear any of the above condemnations of the “Pride” or left agenda from the pulpit on Sunday? I hope so because weak pulpits create weak Christians who allow and maybe even justify elicit behavior from our White House to our classrooms. I’m here to tell you that is NOT what God wants or Jesus would tolerate. That is NOT love!

I know your grief when family or friends are influenced by this, or any, evil agenda. But just because they’re our loved ones doesn’t make their sinful confused choices or skewed definition of truth or love acceptable or any less sinful.

Love doesn’t affirm lies or deprecate truth.

Love doesn’t compromise the truth because sin destroys.  Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 1 Peter 3:15 NLT

Love corrects. For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. Pr. 3:12 NLT

Maybe you’ve heard the argument, like I did, of using Matthew 19:12 to justify gay or trans lifestyles. “For there are eunuchs who were born that way,” insinuating I guess that some are born as gay or trans. But eunuch here refers to being born impotent, not sexual preference.

It’s important to look at the rest of the verse as we can never take Scripture out of context, “and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others . . .” Sadly, that’s the evil happening today with children being castrated either with drugs or surgery.

Eunuchs were often male servants castrated in biblical times by those in power over them, so the men couldn’t have sex with the women in their household or royal entourage. It didn’t mean it was a good or justified mutilation just because it’s in the Bible. The Bible exposes many evil practices.

The remainder of the verse continues, “and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.” That meant those choosing to live in celibacy, maybe like Catholic priests and nuns today, or even those who are tempted to be gay but stay celibate and don’t give in to their sinful lustful temptations.

Interestingly, Jesus’s timing right after Matthew 19:12 are the following verses titled “The Little Children and Jesus.” 13 Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there. Matt. 19:13-15

Here’s my point: Just because someone we love is living a sinful lifestyle doesn’t make it right. Believe me, I understand because I’ve been there. My daughter and I wrote about this in Praying for Your Prodigal Daughter; Hope, Help & Encouragement for Hurting Parents. Because we love our child, relative, or friend, we pray their eyes will open to the truth and they’ll no longer be blinded by Satan’s lies. Gay or trans was not the issue I prayed daily from Scripture for my daughter, although there are stories in the book of other mother’s praying against that sinful lifestyle.

I loved my daughter enough to NOT want her spending eternity in hell but instead to be in heaven with me someday. I wanted her to know Jesus personally and how He wanted her to live. So, I loved her unconditionally, but never condoned her living with her boyfriend. Today, that would seem like a minor sin, but as we know, there’s no minor sins. Even though living together unmarried has become normalized by culture, and even some churches, it’s still a sin in God’s eyes.

We’ve watched how far culture has fallen as to what’s ‘acceptable.’ Now we’re all exposed to a federally imposed month dedicated to celebrating perverted sexual sin from the streets, schools, and the Peoples’ House, the White House. Children are literally taught about sexual perversion as early as kindergarten!!

I said last week in Why The Serpent Is Still Going After Women, that Satan knows NO boundaries. God is giving us a glimpse of what the tribulation will look like after the rapture. He continues to provide more time for the church and Christians to care and love enough to share the Truth with everyone we know who has not committed their entire life to Jesus or is living in willful sin. Because as bad as it is now, it will be like this on steroids during the tribulation and who would want a loved one living through that hell on earth?!

Who do you love enough to share the Truth with today? Don’t wait for your pastor to give you the marching orders, Jesus already has. Remember: Truth is Love; Not Sharing the Truth is Hate.

22 And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. 23 Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives. Jude 22-23 NLT

31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32 NLT

But Romans 1:18-32 plainly states the fate of those who will encounter God’s wrath if they continue living a perverted sexual or sinful lifestyle.  “24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie.”

Do you love someone enough to pray daily for them to avoid this fate? I hope so. I’m so glad I never stopped praying for my daughter, and she’s glad too!

Truth Tellers Become Stronger; Liars Become Weaker!

If you follow my blogs, you know I’m a diligent proponent of truth, especially Christians sharing biblical Truth, to combat the manipulative lies coming from a government trying to control and dominate us by vilifying God and Christian values. It’s tragic watching so many good people mesmerized by lies they never question because they’ve heard them repeated so often. That’s the strategy of liars. That’s the strategy of Satan. Sadly, it’s working!

For example, you hear from mainstream media, and even the President and Vice President, that police officers were killed on January 6. That’s a lie. Not one police officer was killed that day! However, a Capitol police officer murdered one petite unarmed MAGA woman, Ashlie Babbitt. There was a hurried behind doors investigation, and the officer who shot her was praised instead of fired.

I could go on, but hopefully most of you are seeking discernment and praying for God to show you truth amongst the tsunami of lies. Do your own research. Seldom will you hear the truth from the liberal-leaning mainstream media.

Tucker Carlson is a Conservative populist news anchor my husband and I had come to trust to investigate and boldly report the truth substantiated by facts. If he reported something incorrectly, he humbly apologized and often injected humor with a characteristic laugh. Last Monday, to the shock of his followers and glee of left-leaning news outlets, liberals, and socialists, FOX News with no warning “parted ways with Tucker Carlson,” their #1 commentator and reigning cable TV news program not only on FOX, but across all media outlets!

Maybe you never watched Tucker Carlson Tonight or even care what happens to him, and that’s all right too. But as a Christian Conservative Patriot, I care about what’s happening to America and the nation we’re leaving to our children and grandchildren. I feel called to speak truth to lies as God reveals them to me. I hope you do too!

I enjoyed Tucker and learned from him because he was unafraid to push the envelope by tackling topics other journalists avoided. Most recently, I commented to my husband that Tucker was talking a lot about God and depicting the culture as “trying to become their own gods.” He didn’t talk about Republicans vs Democrats, or red vs blue, he characterized cultural events as good versus evil! I often shared his monologues on my social media because he was saying truth that every American needed to hear.

He also championed citizens abused by government policies or inaction and gave many of them an opportunity on his program to tell their stories. He knew that some would be attacked just for being on his show and he commended them for their bravery offering, “God’s speed.”

There was a reason why Speaker McCarthy gave the January 6 complete videos to Tucker because he knew Tucker wouldn’t be afraid to expose truths hidden from the public and that’s exactly what he did. Or tried to do. On the first night, he showed Jacob Chansley being escorted around by the Capitol police, a video which had never been shown to even his lawyers! Chansley was quickly exonerated from his 4-year jail sentence and has just filed a motion to vacate his conviction stating that “Due process rights were clearly violated.” Why was that vindicating video hidden during his trial?

Tucker showed another man moving guardrails and encouraging people to go into the Capitol, who was never jailed and didn’t appear in the congressional committee’s choreographed videos, unlike so many others who are languishing in prison without trials.

But the second night when Tucker was supposed to reveal more of the videos, I sent a note to him that I was disappointed he didn’t show anything new like he had promised. I wondered if he was constrained by higher ups at FOX listening to Chuck Shumer on the Senate floor telling them to fire Carlson. Why shouldn’t we the people be able to see all the videos? What truths were they hiding that go against their “insurrection” narrative?

Then several weeks ago, Jason Whitlock was a guest on Tucker’s show and began quoting Scripture. Suddenly, just as Tucker asked him another question, they cut to a commercial before Whitlock could answer. I started to have my suspicions that something was amiss at the once conservative FOX News.

How to Know the Truth? Those Who Censor and Suppress are Lying!

Often, Tucker and other FOX hosts said they weren’t censored by the network and could say whatever they wanted. I could see that changing on other FOX programs, but Tucker wasn’t acquiescing to censors or critics. He was becoming even bolder about exposing truth and calling out lies. He even talked about the cultural spiritual warfare we’re encountering and depicted atrocities in terms of evil versus good.

The Friday night prior to his Monday departure from FOX, Tucker keynoted at the Heritage Foundation and his speech was prophetic. I encourage you to listen to it in full here, but I’ll give you just a couple insightful quotes.

“The herd instinct is maybe the strongest instinct. It may be stronger than the hunger and sex instincts, actually. The instinct, which again is inherent, to be like everybody else and not to be cast out of the group, not to be shunned — that’s a very strong impulse in all of us from birth. And it takes over, unfortunately, in moments like this, and it’s harnessed, in fact, by bad people in moments like this to produce uniformity.”

When he used the term “this,” he was referring to what’s happening in our culture and country today. He continued.

“There is a countervailing force at work always. There is a counterbalance to the badness. It’s called goodness. And you see it in people. So for every ten people who are putting ‘he and him’ in their electronic JPMorgan email signatures, there’s one person who’s like, ‘No, I’m not doing that. Sorry, I don’t want to fight but I’m not, like, doing that. That’s a betrayal of what I think is true. It’s a betrayal of my conscience, of my faith, of my sense of myself, of my dignity as a human being, of my autonomy – I am not a slave, I am a free citizen, and I’m not doing that. And there’s nothing that you can do to me to make me do it. And I hope it won’t come to that, but if it does come to that, here I am. Here I am. It’s Paul on trial. Here I am.’”

He could only be referring here to the Apostle Paul who refused to back down when the authorities told him to stop sharing the Gospel. “19 But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? 20 We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:19-20

Tucker then talked about the power of truth vs the weakness of lies.

“The truth is contagious. And the second you decide to tell the truth about something, you are filled with this – I don’t want to get supernatural on you – but you are filled with this power from somewhere else. Try it. Tell the truth about something. … The more you tell the truth, the stronger you become.”

“The more you lie, the weaker and more terrified you become.”

He called out evil.

“There is no way to assess, say, the transgenderist movement with that mindset. Policy papers don’t account for it at all. If you have people who are saying, ‘I have an idea: Let’s castrate the next generation. Let’s sexually mutilate children.’ I’m sorry, that’s not a political debate … but the weight of the government [and] a lot of corporate interests are behind that.”

“None of this makes sense in conventional political terms. When people or crowds of people … decide that the goal is to destroy things, destruction for its own sake – hey, let’s tear it down – what you’re watching is not a political movement; it’s evil.”

“I’m merely calling for an acknowledgment of what we’re watching.”

Carlson stressed that abortion zealotry, like the transgenderist movement, is a theological phenomenon. He has said before that it’s becoming its own religion, a cult.

“If you’re telling me that abortion is a positive good, what are you saying? Well, you’re arguing for child sacrifice, obviously. … When the treasury secretary stands up and says, ‘You know what you can do to help the economy? Get an abortion.’ Well, that’s like an Aztec principle, actually.”

There’s much more to his speech. Again, I hope you’ll listen and understand better why Tucker was where Dave and I turned to get accurate news that others wouldn’t touch because these were the same truths that he was sharing on his news show. He wasn’t afraid of not being politically or socially correct. You’ve heard me say many times that Christians cannot just bury our heads in our churches on Sunday morning and literally let the world go to hell around us. That’s not what God wants us to do.

Tucker ended his Heritage Foundation speech by imploring his audience to pray: “Maybe we should all take just like ten minutes a day to say a prayer about it … and I hope you will.”

During his speech, Tucker said that he didn’t know why more people didn’t tell the truth. Maybe they were afraid of being fired he suggested. Ironically, or maybe prophetically, he was fired three days after giving this speech. We don’t know the details yet. Maybe he quit. Although it seemed he was preparing his Monday night program when he got the call it was over with no explanation.

“@TuckerCarlson has been engaging in the best journalism on TV uncovering and exposing the truth. This is a huge loss to Fox News” texted Senator Ron Johnson.

Let’s take ten minutes to pray that God will find a better place for Tucker Carlson to expose the truth and also to grow his faith as we’ve recently seen with another “celebrity” Kirk Cameron. Like Tucker, Kirk isn’t afraid to go against the culture to speak the truth to evil as he’s been on a tour to libraries sharing his new children’s book As You Grow about the Fruit of the Spirit. He wrote an opinion piece “Here’s what my tour around America taught me about the weird, woke, and wicked!” I encourage you to read it also. Here are a couple of quotes from Kirk.

“Our forefathers and foremothers would offer this culture-preserving advice from the Bible: ‘Train up your children in the way they should go. Husbands, love your wives. Wives, honor your husbands. Love God and one another sincerely, from the heart. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Honor one another above yourselves. Don’t be lazy, but work hard. Rejoice in hope . . . be patient in trouble . . . and keep on praying. Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.’ (Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 5: 25,33; Romans 12:9-21)”

“If you’re a parent, if you long for a return to wholesome, God-honoring values . . . if you want to salvage this country and its biblical values for your children . . . stop complaining about the culture. Instead, be brave and start creating the culture you want for your children. Lead by example. Show your kids and grandkids what genuine faith and moral integrity look like. Steel your God-given backbone.” 

“Let your love for your children conquer your fears. Use your own home as a safe place to lovingly uproot the power of evil in your neighborhood. . . . Plant seeds of truth, beauty, and goodness.” 

Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. Ephesians 4:25 ESV

So we have a journalist and an actor telling us what every pastor should be preaching to his congregation and every Christian should be espousing and living. Truth combats evil; lies foster evil.  Going along with evil as a Christian is counterintuitive and living a lie. Ignoring evil is cowardly. Doing the right thing is good and courageous. God is truth and hates lying.

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight. Proverbs 12:22 ESV

Whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence, but a false witness utters deceit. Proverbs 12:17 ESV

Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Proverbs 12:19 ESV

Abby Johnson is a pro-life advocate who spent years working at Planned Parenthood believing Satan’s lies that a baby in the womb was not a life worth saving before the Lord opened her eyes to the horrific killing of unborn babies by abortion. Now Abby shares the truth with other deceived nurses and doctors to free them from those evil lies. She says, “I am willing to offend you into heaven, but I will not love you into hell.”

 In a video tweet two days after his firing, Tucker Carlson said, “When honest people say what’s true calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful. At the same time, the liars who’ve been trying to silence them shrink. They become weaker. That’s the iron law of the universe: True things prevail. Where can you still find Americans saying true things? There aren’t many places left, but there are some and that’s enough. As long as you can hear the words, there is hope. See you soon.”

When asked after his speech at the Heritage Foundation what’s the first thing you should do every morning, Tucker quickly replied, “Tell the people around you ‘I love you!'”

Don’t fret because of evildoers; don’t envy the wicked. 20 For evil people have no future; the light of the wicked will be snuffed out. Proverbs 24:19 NLT

We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. Ephesians 4:14-15 NLT

It’s Holy Week and Our God Still Reigns!

It was difficult deciding what to write as we start Holy Week before Easter with such sadness and turmoil in our world. But as I prayed about whether I should focus on the evil we’re all watching take place or the God whose only Son went to the Cross under evil circumstances to offer us a way out of personal sin and guilt, I quickly knew the answer when God gave me several clues as He always does.

First, as I posted on Facebook the pictures of those six precious innocent Chrisitan children and adults at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tenn. gunned down by a mentally ill suicidal transgender woman who looked into the eyes of those three children, a substitute teacher, the custodian, and the head of the school. . . then pulled the trigger . . . I saw the epitome of evil.

Evil begets evil!

There is an evil belief system infecting our culture that people can play God and become their own gods. Doctors who should be helping troubled gender dysphoria patients receive treatment to learn how to live in the bodies God gave them are instead lying to them that they can become the opposite gender by being pumped with hormones and sterilizing drugs and mutilated with irreplaceable castration, hysterectomies, and mastectomies at ages when children often think they can fly too.

Those doctors, medical professionals, and facilities are as evil as the ones killing unborn babies. Instead of offering redemptive healthcare, which they take an oath to perform, they’re participating in child abuse and infant genocide. And as evidenced by the militant attitude of the trans movement and pro-abortion advocates, no one is happy or successful in trying to play God.

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. Psalm 14:1

As I changed my Facebook cover photo to the pictures of those six who were mercilessly gunned down, God prompted me to also change my profile picture to the opening picture of this blog. He was guiding my hurt, heartbreak, pain, anger, and frustration back to focus on Him, the One and Only true God.

Then the title of this morning’s (3/31/23) Our Daily Bread was “Rest Assured in God” with the verse from Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Karen Pimpo wrote in the accompanying article, “When our world is troubled, how can we find rest? The Bible’s clear: there’s peace for those who trust in God, regardless of their circumstances.”

While browsing through Facebook before I sat down to write to you, I came across a post from Fox & Friends on their Faith & Friends concert series of a performance with Phil Wickham of his new song “This is Our God.” I’d seen that post several times, but this morning I opened it up weeping as I listened to the timely words of the song. I hope you’ll go to the link and worship too.

It was clear God was reminding me that our only hope is belief in our Comforter and Savior, Jesus Christ, and nothing should distract us from this truth. With so many being lied to and even murdered because of Satan’s lies, our mission is to tell everyone of God’s overriding truths. The families burying their loved ones this Holy Week will mourn the loss of their loved ones while celebrating that they are in the arms of Jesus. Heavenly joy, but earthly sorrow for now.

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 1 Cor. 15:55

Good Begets Good and Our God is a Good God!

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Is. 53:5-6

Isaiah 53:5-6 is the message of Easter we can’t ever overlook in the tragedies and unjustness of our culture. J. J. Packer said, “We are cruel to ourselves if we try to live in this world without knowing about the God whose world it is and who runs it.”

What is happening in our world doesn’t distract Jesus. He cares about what is happening in our heart!

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.—Ezekiel 36:26

What should we do this Holy Week to prepare our hearts for an Easter celebration?

1. Fill your mind with Words from the Lord and not from the media.

Let’s take a break from the biased media and focus our minds on the reason our Lord and Savior went to the cross—to offer us eternal life regardless of what happens in this life. We don’t want to die, but if Jesus is in our heart, we have the assurance that we will be alive with Jesus for eternity. That should calm our hearts and comfort those who have lost loved ones or maybe just received an unwanted diagnosis.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.—Romans 12:2

I heard Pastor Greg Laurie say once in a Palm Sunday message, “There are five gospels . . . you’re the 5th! You are the temple of God.” Read the four Gospels, Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John. Get to know Jesus up close and personal. Walk with Him in His shoes; listen to His words and stories.

  • What was He trying to get people to understand?
  • What does He want you to understand?
  • Look for His personal message to your generation and how to influence the next generation for Christ.
  • What does He want you to do during the crises in our country? In our world?

If you were giving the sermon this Easter, what would you include?

2. Tell people what Jesus means to you. Why you love Him. That even while you were a sinner, He still loved you enough to die for you!

Our church has a Cowboy Breakfast as an outreach for the community on Easter Sunday, and Facebook just reminded me that I was the speaker 10 years ago. It was my privilege to share the Gospel and I didn’t worry what faith or lack of faith in those attending. Easter is about salvation through belief in Christ Jesus and that was my message.

My then 6-year-old granddaughter, Katelyn, shared the microphone with me to recite John 3:16. I was so proud of her! The next year she told me, “Grammie, I want to share John 3:16 at the Cowboy Breakfast again.” Since I wasn’t the speaker, she didn’t get that opportunity, but I pray she never hesitates to share the Gospel message.

God blessed Katelyn and me with a boldness that Easter morning to share the Gospel unashamed of our Savior with gratitude for His sacrifice and rejoicing at His resurrection. Here’s what one attendee wrote to me later:

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your message at the Cowboy Breakfast. It was clearly presented and probably the best explanation that I have heard so that people are not confused about making a commitment to Christ. So often people are afraid to say what is needed because they are concerned about offending their audience. It was important that you were clear on what sin is and how to make a personal commitment. I also received feedback from members of our Vineyard Home Study Group that were pleased that the truth could be so clearly spoken.

Thanks again for the time and effort that you put into preparation for those who needed to hear this message.

Other years, members of our church share their testimony with friends and neighbors who attend the breakfast. My husband Dave gave his testimony one year.

When is the last time you told someone your testimony of surrendering your life to Christ? It’s hands down the most important and meaningful day in your life. Yes, it’s greater than the day you married, gave birth, bought your dream house, or signed that important contract. Your rebirth in Christ should top them all!

Yet, we eagerly tell the story of these less significant events in our life, but often are reticent to tell the story of Jesus coming into our life.

We know He is with us every day, but do we give Him the credit and the glory for the things we know He has done and is doing in our life?

This week ask yourself why you don’t talk more about Jesus?!

Then share your salvation story with someone! Reflect back on the day the death and resurrection of Jesus really meant something to you. Tell people why it still does.

There is no greater witness to God’s goodness than sharing what he has done in your life. No one can question your testimony because it’s your personal experience.

Your story becomes your testimony when the focus is on God, not on you.

Your testimony simply shares your life before Jesus. How he changed your heart and spiritually, maybe literally, saved your life.

God has given you a story to share, so seize every opportunity to tell it.

Sometimes, God redeems your testimony by surrounding you with people who need to hear your past so it doesn’t become their future.

Who needs to hear this Easter what Christ has done for you and could do for them?

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.—Titus 3:3-7

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.—1 John 5:11-12

Why Aren’t More People Speaking Out to Defend Women?

Maybe you cringed with me on International Women’s Day when a man pretending to be a woman was given the International Women’s Day Courage Award by Jill Biden and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. Couldn’t they tell the difference between a man and a woman? They both stood smiling with this obvious imposter as if it was normal when he gave them both a peck on the cheek! Blinken flinched, but he took it like a true woke liberal.

It looked like a Saturday Night Live skit, but tragically, it was real life today.

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, R-Ark., responded on twitter, “It’s International Women’s Day – a good time to remember that Democrats can’t even tell you what a woman is.”

Gov. Sanders said in her rebuttal to Biden’s State of the Union speech, “The choice is no longer between right or left. The choice is between normal and crazy.”

Other Twitter comments on the International Women’s Courage award given to a man:

“Nice of FLOTUS to encourage the diminishment of women on ‘international women’s day.’ Erasing women is abusive,” Dana Loesch, host of “The Dana Show,” tweeted.

“International Women’s Day: Not just for women anymore,” conservative Twitter personality Andrea Katherine wrote in reply.

“Why are the Democrats working overtime to push the trans agenda?” news commentator and former congressional nominee Karoline Leavitt asked. 

Legitimate question. Why are Democrats pushing the trans agenda when they pretend to be protecting women’s rights while simultaneously trampling on women’s rights?

When it comes to the left’s attack on women, which Biden essentially declared in his inaugural speech about furthering trans rights, they’ve gone crazy. He appointed an obvious man masquerading as a woman, Richard [aka Rachel] Levine as assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services, which USA Today named as one of their “Women of the Year!” USA Today has gone crazy too!

We have a Supreme Court Judge appointed by Biden who can’t define a woman!

This liberal woke craziness is causing harm to and dismissal of real women. What do I mean by real women? A female human being who God created biologically and anatomically as a woman at birth.

Only a woman menstruates.

Only a woman has ovaries and ovulates.

Only a woman has a uterus and fallopian tubes.

Only a woman can carry a baby in her womb.

Only a woman has a natural female anatomy.

Only a woman has two XX chromosomes.

A woman cannot be a man and a man cannot be a woman. No matter how many surgeries or hormones, you cannot change DNA, create new DNA, or change biological sex. This was never disputed until a few mentally and sexually disturbed people decided to go on a war against women. The Democrat party championed and rewarded this ludicrous propaganda campaign to the detriment and harm of real women and real men.

Sadly, fewer and fewer people are willing to speak the truth for fear of “offending” the few who think they can be whatever gender and pronoun they choose. This socially deceptive, offensive, and harmful political manipulation and mutilation of genders is normalizing insanity. It’s harming mentally disturbed adults who obviously need counseling and subjecting our innocent children to this evil distortion of truth.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Is. 5:20

It’s demonic.

Who is speaking out against this evil?

Not the schools that let boys invade the privacy of girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms.

Not the sports industry allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports!

Not woke businesses encouraging equity instead of equality. Equity instead of quality and competence.

Not the politicians more influenced by a small perverted community than the sane majority they were elected to represent.

Not the media, except for a few brave souls like Tucker Carlson willing to say this is insane. I encourage you to listen to his monologue “Women’s Awards are Now Going to Men.”

Nothing is More Misogynistic than Erasing Women from Womanhood!

Why are the feminists not protesting in the streets? Because they’re steadfast liberals! Even though liberals are trouncing on women, feminists show true loyalty to woke ideology, not to women!

Until recently, everyone would’ve laughed at the idea of men wanting to be women. What man in his right mind would want to dress and pretend to be a woman?

What’s changed?

Who’s behind the infringement on women’s dignity, rights, and safety?

Who’s behind the war on women?

The answers started back in the Garden of Eden when the serpent, the Devil, chose to tempt Eve with the forbidden fruit. Paul worried about this in the Corinthian church, But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. 2 Cor. 11:3 NLT

Eve succumbed to Satan by asking the question often used to justify sin today, “Did God really say?” The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” Gen. 3:1 NLT

The disgraced Satan has always been at war with God. He wanted equality with God and when that failed, he tries anything and everything to stop God’s people from multiplying and filling the earth.

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Gen. 1:28 NLT

Then the people began to multiply on the earth, and daughters were born to them. Gen. 1:6 NLT

Since God only gave women reproductive anatomy, the Devil is the commander, plotter, and originator of the war on women and misgendering. Organizations like Planned Parenthood, the pharmaceutical industry, and even some in the medical profession are enlisting in Satan’s army.

Just as Eve learned, there are consequences for anyone manipulated by Satan and his emissaries. One of Satan’s most effective tactical weapons is using lies to create confusion. If he can create enough doubt and confusion, his evil battle successfully rages on.

43 Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear me! 44 For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 So when I tell the truth, you just naturally don’t believe me! John 8:43-45 NLT

What Are Satan’s Strategies in the War on Women!

  • The Battleground of Abortion

Women believe the lie that they’re not carrying a baby; it’s just tissue and cells. Even with the advent of sonograms, hearing the heartbeat, and knowing that each cell contains the baby’s DNA . . . millions of women still choose to kill their babies. Satan uses semantics to confuse them that it isn’t really murder. Just “ending or terminating a pregnancy.” “A woman’s choice.” “Women’s healthcare.” “My body, my choice.” “Reproductive rights.”

Women are deceived into believing their life will be better without the life of their baby. Millions of women have a hole in their heart grieving the children they didn’t allow to be born. Only Jesus can help mend that hole and He will if asked.

Imagine how fanatically devoted to politics and power to deny and prevent a woman’s most life-affirming experience.

Female babies killed every second. Satan laughs.

  • The Battleground of Genders

God was very specific when He created only two, genders: Male and female.

So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Gen. 1:27 NLT

God explained their roles. Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” Gen. 2:8

God’s Word says that marriage is exclusively between a man and a woman who will populate the earth. But ‘God made them male and female’[a] from the beginning of creation. 7 ‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife,[b] 8 and the two are united into one.’ Mark 10:6-8

Even with animals, God instructed Noah, “Also take seven pairs of every kind of bird. There must be a male and a female in each pair to ensure that all life will survive on the earth after the flood.” Gen. 7:3 NLT

Only Satan could try to subvert God’s plan for the continuation of humanity by causing what we now call “gender confusion.” Again, confusion does not come from God.

Some “confused” men are demanding legal rights to pretend they’re women. Logically and anatomically, this is ludicrous and lewd, but instead of rationale people standing up to protect women, the government is bending to social pressure from a fringe element and allowing “transgender” biological men to invade all the private spaces of biological women, even competing in sports against real women!

In 2021, a biological man was named “Miss Nevada!”

A biological 43-year-old male who “identifies as a woman” from New Zealand will compete in women’s weightlifting at the Olympics and this atrocity is now invading all women’s sports, including weightlifting in the United States.

We’re told it’s discrimination to not let confused men “identify” as women with all the privileges, but what about the rights of real women? Why isn’t this male gender invasion considered discrimination against women?

Every human understands there are basic physiological differences between men and women. In the 21st century, liberals have decided ideology trumps biology.

Women Must Speak the Truth Before Our Rights Become Extinct!

A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this. Deut. 22:5

I love Lisa Bevere’s Facebook post, “God would have never granted women a voice if He intended for them to remain silent.”

One woman said on Twitter that women are so polite it hurts to speak up. But speak up we must even when it hurts!

In the movie Jesus Revolution, my favorite line was from Kay Smith, “The lies are always loud; truth is quiet. And simple.”

50 years later, we’re watching lies screaming from the White House into every house and those who know the truth remaining silent. Some erroneously think if we don’t say anything about the insanity and immorality, it will stop. Just the opposite is true.

We don’t need to scream, but we do need to share the truth every time we hear or see a lie. We’ll never solve a spiritual problem with a political answer.

We must stand up for our young girls being infiltrated and indoctrinated with lies normalized by a government and culture with a sinister motive.

We must stay educated on the issues facing women and consider them from God’s perspective. Educate and mentor our children and grandchildren in the home and in our churches.

If you know someone influenced by false teachings or ideologies, take time to talk and pray for and with them. Share God’s purpose and plans for men and women and why He made us different and unique with specific life roles.

Don’t be afraid to stand up against wrong. Like the woman who protested when a male came into the women and children’s area of a spa in California and exposed himself. She was shocked that other women were afraid to come forward and confront the spa owners for allowing such an atrocity. She wasn’t afraid, and good for her!

Silence in the face of wrong is wrong itself!

Our tendency is to avoid adversity, but Jesus never avoided sharing the truth even when it wasn’t welcomed.

The spiritual battle isn’t between Democrats vs Republicans or liberals vs conservatives. It’s between wrong vs right, evil vs good. It’s easy to say we know who wins in the end so let’s not get involved, but other people are hurt when we don’t engage.

The Christian life isn’t standing quietly on the sidelines; it’s standing boldly on the Lord’s side of the spiritual battle.

What Satan means for evil, God will use for good! He’ll use those of us willing to join Him in the fight for truth. I hope you’re in the Lord’s army. I am.

Our battle isn’t against flesh and blood, aka the liberals, progressives, Democrats, atheists, imposters trying to be women. No, the battle is against the spiritual principalities of evil. 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Eph. 6:10-13

Words Do Matter! Go to THE WORD for Wisdom!

Over the years, various professional groups have changed their “acceptable” terminology. For example, I remember when flight attendants were referred to as Stewardesses, but they prefer “flight attendant,” so we all changed our terminology to accommodate them.

Hairdressers now prefer to be called hairstylists. Beauty parlors are now hair salons.

Those were easy adjustments for us all to accommodate and respect the changes.

I’m old enough to remember when “black” was not an acceptable word to describe ethnicity. Until they started calling themselves black and it became an acceptable term. But even today, you see people struggling with using black and will instead say “people of color” or “African American.” I’ve heard some blacks offended by that last term protesting they weren’t from Africa they’re simply Americans.

Sadly, we’re often denoted and divided today by the color of our skin instead of our integrity and character. That’s racism. God and the Constitution say we’re all equal. Not equity, but equal!

Queer became an offensive word for that community who decided they were “gay.” But now, they’ve started calling themselves queer so it seems to be acceptable again along with letters of the alphabet they’ve adopted and terms they’ve created like “transgender” for cross dressers and a myriad of different gender terms, none of which you’ll find God using in the Bible.

The woke word police have bumped up vocabulary changes to the point that people can lose their jobs or be socially attacked if they use the wrong term or pronoun.

There was no universal agreement that certain people groups could change our language to the point where a minority of the population holds the majority hostage to their grammar and vocabulary rules because “someone” might be offended.

And for a reason I can’t quite understand, the majority are not speaking out that they’re offended by the woke word police. As a Christian, we should all be offended by any acceptance of actions or terminology that goes against God’s plan for men and women and adamantly offended when this tyranny is inflicted on our children.

You may have heard of Stanford University IT’s attempt to label words like “American” and “Hispanic” as harmful. After great pushback, they did remove American from their harmful list, but this means that students going to this university will come out brainwashed in woke permissible language and philosophy.

According to a report, “the list is a product of the “Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative,” which aims to “eliminate” words that may be deemed “racist, violent, and biased,” the document reads. The index lists a wide variety of words — some of which are commonly used — and provides an alternative word and an explanation of why the language may be harmful. There are ten “harmful language” sections outlined in the document including: ablest, ageism, colonialism, culturally appropriate, gender-based, and biased (e.g., disability bias, ethnic bias, ethnic slurs, gender bias, implicit bias, sexual bias) language. USC prohibits the use of the word “field” calling it racist.

The CDC has even come up with Preferred Terms for Select Population Groups & Communities. Where it might’ve been a one word description, they’ve written a paragraph for categories like, Criminals, Disability, Drug/Substance Use, Healthcare Access & Access to Services and Resources, Homelessness, Lower Socioeconomic Status, Mental Health/Behavioral Health, Non-U.S.-born Persons / Immigration Status, Race & Ethnicity (instead of Caucasian they want “white person”), Rural, Elderly, Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity (you can only imagine the long list there including pronouns).

How Do We Respond as Christians?

In July 2022, I wrote a blog titled, We’re In A War of Words with the Devil! That war is escalating and every day we’re challenged to take up our cross and defend our faith in new ways.

The woke agenda is not biblical; it’s political and diabolical and designed to force us into a mold of their making, whoever they are whether it’s the liberal universities or the Marxist government. We need to resist for as long as we have free speech guaranteed under the First Amendment.

For example, the Bible does not use the terms “gay” or “transgender” or alphabet initials, it uses homosexual, immoral, perverted, abdominal to describe anything other than God’s plan for only two genders, male and female, to have married sexual relations with each other! They reproduce baby girls and boys exclusively. No variations! So why would we verbally indulge the Devil’s work by using his terminology to acknowledge behavior and words we know are wrong.

God says,

 “Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.” Leviticus 18:22 NLT

8 Instead, you yourselves are the ones who do wrong and cheat even your fellow believers.[a]

9 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 1 Cor. 6:8-10 NLT

9 For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders. 10 The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders,[a] liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching 11 that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God. 1 Tim. 1:9-11 NLT

There is nothing “gay” or expressing “pride” about sexual sin in any of those verses. Gay pride is not to be celebrated, yet we have an entire month in America dedicated to this sin!?

Why would we let the liberal government or Marxist woke groups dictate, even legislate, terms and words? As Christians we remain kind and respectful, but we shouldn’t be manipulated, coerced, or forced into reciting from a script we reject. Because trust me, when we do acquiesce, it will never be enough.

For example, the baker in Colorado who won his case that went all the way to the Supreme Court when he refused to make a cake for a homosexual wedding, is now back in court because he won’t make a cake for a gender change party. You know they’re taunting and harassing his faith and Christian beliefs.

Satan never gives up. He’s never satisfied until we comply and bend to his will; but Christians follow God’s will exclusively! At least we should, no matter the cost or pressure. We don’t bend and we don’t break! And when Satan whispers in our ear like he did to Eve, “Did God really say that?” we boldly confirm, “Yes He did!”

Please pray for baker Jack Phillips as he faces yet another legal battle to honor his faith and morals.

The Only Way to Know God’s Will is to Stay in THE WORD!

27 As he was speaking, a woman in the crowd called out, “God bless your mother—the womb from which you came, and the breasts that nursed you!”

28 Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” Luke 11:27-28

If you’re not in your Bible daily, yes I mean daily, you’re going to be battered and bruised by the culture and the world. It will be hard, maybe impossible, to stay true to your faith and your Heavenly Father unless you talk to Him every day and listen to Him talk to you through His written Word and His still small voice. The voice that the culture wants to drown out with the noise and chatter of a world gone woke and wild.

It takes discipline to read your Bible daily, but you’ll be devoured by this world if you don’t. There are so many Bible-reading plans available. Maybe you don’t think you can read the Bible in a year, so just read a chapter or two a day. Or even just a single Scripture that accompanies a devotional you might even receive online. Find a way. I’ve used YouVersion, CBN.com, Our Daily Bread, and Daily Walk.

A friend emailed me just this morning “As I read the New Testament, I see God’s hand all over those lovely scriptures . . . I was a bit down and not until I immersed myself in study later in the morning did I feel the grayness go away . . . it happens to us all . . . but we can feel the Savior’s love through prayer and study and help lift us up in joy.”

Isn’t that beautiful! My friend experienced the world falling away as God’s Word filled her heart and mind.

Having a Word to Guide You Helps Too!

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that every New Year, I pray for God to give me a word of His choosing to guide me through the coming year. A dear friend and I compare notes and then remind each other throughout the year of how God is using our word in our lives. There’s always confirmation from the Lord and a verse to memorize.

As I prayed and read my Bible asking God to give me a word for 2023, I saw “wisdom” everywhere. As you can imagine, when I searched for wisdom in the Bible there are 219 references listed. But what finally confirmed that it was my 2023 word, was a small plaque that our son’s family gave me for Christmas with Psalm 90:12, Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. When I opened that present, I knew God was telling me I would need wisdom in the coming year. Wisdom would be my 2023 word and Psalm 90:12 would be my verse!

You and I don’t know how many days the Lord has allotted us, but we do know they’re not infinite. Much of what we do and say during our lifetime may be forgotten by many, but may it be said of each of us is that we loved the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, and words.

You Can Use Your Vote to Combat Evil!

I’m not going to mince words this week. As Christians, it’s our civic duty, obligation, right, and responsibility to vote for candidates that reflect our values. We may not like how they look. They certainly won’t be perfect, but no one is perfect except Jesus.

However, today we have politicians running our country whose policies are immoral, irrational, and evil. Their agenda is to destroy our American democracy and rebuild it as a Marxist/Communist secular country where the government controls everything and the people obey or face the consequences.

This midterm election might actually be the only way we can salvage our free country and I’m not the only one who thinks that.

Of course, you pray before you vote, do your research, and consider what has happened to our country in less than two years since the Democrats took control of the Senate, Congress, and White House. On day one of Biden’s presidency, he signed a stack of executive orders to undo and obliterate our civil liberties, freedoms, and destroy the great American way of life. Here are just a few of the ensuing dire consequences of that election!

  • The National School Board and teacher’s union kept our schools closed
  • Vaccine mandates or lose your job!
  • Transgenderism forced into schools, sports, military, and jobs
  • Skyrocketing unprecedented inflation and recession
  • Energy production halted when we were energy dependent and still have plenty of natural fuel to support not only our country but could help others
  • Gas prices doubling and tripling with no relief in sight
  • Retirement funds disappearing
  • Equity replaces equality
  • “Inclusion” includes immorality and unjustness
  • Partisan two-tiered biased justice system favoring Democrats
  • Crime terrorizing our streets
  • Defund the police and the military
  • Millions of illegals flood our boarders unchecked and unvetted
  • Drugs flowing into every state from open border drug cartels
  • Sex trafficking of women, men, and young children coming across the border
  • Critical Race Theory and racism taught in schools, which the last president banned
  • Sex and perverted explicit pornographic sex taught in school as young as kindergarten
  • Men in women’s sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms. Again, banned by Trump
  • “Misgendering” can cost your job or get you expelled from school
  • Denial of scientific biological sexes: male and female
  • Concerned parents targeted as terrorists
  • Funded drag queens in Ecuador with a $20,000 grant from our tax money to brainwash minors with the transgender ideology
  • Threat of a nuclear war and millions spent in the Ukrainian/Russia war
  • Despicable retreat from Afghanistan with tragic loss of eleven military lives and numbers injured
  • Disastrous and dangerous foreign policy
  • 89,000 new armed IRS agents added to an already overstaffed agency
  • Use of the justice department and FBI to attack political adversaries. I hesitate to even call it a justice system.
  • War on women (unable to define) and motherhood
  • Promoting the murder of babies
  • Genital mutilation, castration, mastectomies, hysterectomies, and puberty blockers of young children with some states allowing without parental consent
  • Worship of the earth and not the Creator of earth, God.

I’m crying as I make this list. Regardless of what you think of the former Republican President’s personality, none of this happened or would’ve happened during his watch. Even though he was under constant attack from the left, he took measures to prevent, curtail, or stop every item on the list. These are all Democrat despicable policies inflicted on our country in less than two years!

Many are afraid to speak out against the atrocities happening under the current Democrat led administration that tries to silence any opposition with intimidation and threats. But when you vote, it’s just between you and the paper you’re voting on. No one can entice you or force you to vote against your will, conscience, or beliefs.

Please Take the Time to Research Before You Vote!

I’ve covered many of the issues I listed above in previous blogs. I do my research before I write and I’m hoping when I give you a link to follow, you go to it to substantiate what I’m saying. If we can take back the House and the Senate for now, with the Lord’s help, we can put a halt to future destruction under the current administration, especially of our children.

Controlling our children is the goal of Marxism/Communism, which no one denies the Democrat party has become. We are no longer a country with two different political parties; we’re literally a country trying to survive a Communist attack on our republic. There’s such an emphasis now on the Democrats trying to prevent parental rights because if they can control the children, they control the next generation coming into power in our beloved country.

Look at every Communist takeover and it starts with indoctrination of the children. It’s happening right now in the schools with Critical Race Theory and sexualizing young children. Soon Christian schools will not receive accreditation if they don’t agree to comply with the demands of the National School Board, which donates to the Democrat party. This government run organization and the teacher’s union have overtly controlled schools to favor the liberal ideology.

Let’s Just Look at a Couple Items on the List: The Transgender Degradation of Women and Exploitation of Children

In Senator Ted Cruz’s new book, Justice Corrupted: How the Left Weaponized Our Legal System, he opens with the story of the father who went to a schoolboard meeting to protest his daughter being raped in the girl’s bathroom by a boy wearing a skirt. That father was jailed. The school first denied it happened, then admitted it and transferred the boy in a skirt to another school where he raped another girl. Cruz also discusses how the justice department has been weaponized, corrupted, and politicized.

A brave 14 year-old freshman volleyball player in Vermont, Blake Allen, and her father appeared on Tucker Carlson tonight with their attorney to tell their story of Blake being uncomfortable when a boy identifying as a girl was allowed in their school locker room. She left and complained to the school authorities who suspended her for 5 days because she wouldn’t write an apology to the boy! Her father was fired from his job as soccer coach at the same school because he wrote about it on social media and “misgendered” the boy impersonating a girl.

A school in North Carolina announced it would forfeit all games against teams allowing “transgender” players after one of their own players was injured in the head by a spike from a boy player on the other “girls” team. Here’s a short quote from this article “In June, the Biden administration proposed an updated rule for the enforcement of Title IX, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational settings. The proposed regulation would expand the definition of sex to include gender identity and sexual orientation, raising concerns that schools would be required to allow transgender athletes to compete as women.”

Transgender is a fabricated term for a genetic boy with a fetish or genuine mental gender dysphoria disorder dressing or simply “identifying” as a girl and demanding acceptance that he’s a girl/woman! Which, Biden fully supports since he spent time in the oval office with a grown man, Dylan Mulvaney, who identifies as a young girl and obviously has a fetish for dressing up and pretending he’s a girl. With all that’s going on in our world, Biden doesn’t have time to speak with reporters, but he sits with this man dressed like a girl who makes tic toc videos demeaning women while he’s portraying to be one.

It’s disgusting! But Biden actually tells this man that it’s immoral to not affirm his audacious behavior or to not allow small children, who for a moment might wonder what it’s like to be the other gender, to be surgically and medically mutilated/castrated for life. Tucker Carlson talks about this Biden interview with Riley Gains who lost her swimming championship title to a boy going by the name of Lia Thomas but is still genetically and physically a boy! Riley is Co-chair of Nine Pac supporting politicians who will defend Title IX allowing only biological women to compete against each other in sports!

Have you noticed it’s the males who are primarily trying to invade the true female gender? How often do you hear of a woman pretending to be a man and invading men’s space?

These men obviously have issues and need mental and spiritual help not affirmation in hurting women and misguiding children.

Which leads me to two more issues I want to address.

Last week, the Lord led me to write a blog Woke is Just a Euphemism for Demonic. I want you to read two articles that the Lord revealed to me why He’s asking me to call out Satan by name. You cannot deny any longer that what’s happening on the left is satanic and demonic.

God is giving us a chance to fight against Satan with our vote, but it demands courage, bravery, and trust to support journalists, politicians, candidates, and citizens who are fighting too!

If you thought I was overemphasizing the Drag movement last week, please read Christopher Rufo’s article below. There are schools allowing Drag shows to take place in the classrooms and not letting parents know or opt out their children from the debauchery. If you think Drag queen story hours and brunches are innocent family friendly, you’re deceived.

The history and purpose is to sexualize and normalize pedophilia and they’ve been given full reign in the school system under this liberal administration. This is a slow slide into the tolerance of adults having sex with little children. When’s the last time you heard anyone arrested because they had child porn on their computer? Now porn is being introduced into schools as “tolerant” “inclusive” “good education” and entertainment for children.

Christopher F. Rufo is a journalist who has been drawing attention to the sexualization of children. In his article below, he outlines the history and purpose of the new Drag Queen phenomena, which has received no pushback from this administration but is instead included as acceptable by the Democrat controlled National School Board. I hope you’ll read the whole article, here’s a snippet.

Drag Queen Story Hour’s radical origins and the subversive sexualization of our kids: Advocates describe Drag Queen Story Hour as family-friendly but an underlying and serious message about childhood sexuality is being conveyed. Rufo explains:

“Having begun with voluntary programs at public libraries, Drag Queen Story Hour has been remarkably successful, sparking a trend of state-subsidized drag readings, dances, and performances across the country. Advocates of Drag Queen Story Hour might reply that these are outlier cases and that many of the child-oriented events feature drag queens reading books and talking about gender, not engaging in sexualized performances.”

“But the spirit of drag is predicated on the transgressive sexual element, the ideology of queer theory, and the goal of elevating those at the bottom of the sexual hierarchy—including pedophiles—which cannot be erased by switching the context and softening the language.”

“When parents, voters, and political leaders understand the true nature of Drag Queen Story Hour and the ideology that drives it, they will work quickly to restore the limits that have been temporarily—and recklessly—abandoned. They will draw a bright line between adult sexuality and childhood innocence and send the perversions of queer theory back to the margins, where they belong.”

We need to vote the liberal progressive Democrats out of office to protect our children in so many ways and this is just another one on the list. The current administration will not draw a line because they’re promoting it under the elusive “inclusion” ideology. Inclusion should never include evil perversion, which the liberals refuse to denounce.

This next story should appall you if nothing else does!

Andrew Mark Miller wrote an article titled: Left-wing activists harass conservative reading Bible, steal book and rip it up, protester eats pages | Fox News Leftist protesters were spotted outside a speaking event by a conservative commentator surrounding and shouting down a man reading Bible passages before they snatched the Bible, ripped it up, and one protester ate the pages!

In the video posted by Young America’s Foundation earlier this week, a man reading Bible passages on a loudspeaker outside a screening of conservative commentator Matt Walsh’s “What is a Woman?” documentary in Madison, Wisconsin was accosted by screaming leftist protesters. One of the protesters can be seen banging on a can next to the Christian man’s face while another blared a siren next to him.

“The leftists’ attempts to silence a student reading the Bible demonstrate their utter contempt for the Judeo-Christian values upon which America was founded,” Nick Baker, a spokesperson for Young America’s Foundation, told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“Well, you can be on the side that eats the Bible and castrates children, or you can be on literally any side but that one,” [Matt] Walsh posted on Twitter along with the video. “Your choice, America.”

Walsh also posted a photo of a notice posted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison warning students of the event and calling it “harmful towards our trans community.” The protesters also reportedly vandalized multiple buildings on campus including a veteran’s memorial.

Even a transgender activist, Buck Angel, a “transsexual man,” believes the transgender movement has “gone too far” by encouraging minors to use drugs and surgery to transition to the opposite sex. In an article and interview with Gabrielle Reyes of Fox News, Buck admitted, “We do show that there is a lot of trauma not being addressed before going to medical and why we are having a large population of detransitioners that the transgender community is trying to hide,” Angel said. Angel also said he “does not believe children should medical transition.”

 “Mental health needs to be the priority,” he continued. “Not affirmation therapy but actual therapy.” “We do not have enough research to show that this will alleviate the gender dysphoria,” he told Fox News.

We’re not “assigned a gender at birth.” We are the gender at birth that God created us as either a baby boy or girl. Whoever wrote that definition of gender dysphoria in the manual needs some mental and spiritual help themselves.

Have You Heard Enough?

I could go on, but I want to close with three Republican Conservative candidates who aren’t afraid to say they’re Christians and God is who they depend on and work for, along with serving the American people. I hope and pray you have candidates like this running in your state and local elections and you do your American duty to defend our country and our children by voting in this election. We have friends who went three hours out of their way to be sure they voted before they took a road trip out of Idaho.

Let’s make this election such a landslide for good against evil that no amount of cheating from the left could alter the outcome. Vote like your life and the life of your family depends on it, because it does!

Woke is Just a Euphemism for Demonic!

First, I want to say that Satan doesn’t want you reading this blog or me writing it. How do I know that? Well, I turned on my computer to warm up while I ate my bowl of oatmeal on a rainy Saturday morning and both screens were black, as in blank. I tried a few things and then called on my computer genius hubby for help and it took almost two hours to bring the screens back to life but there was no logical or technical reason for the blackout. Then when I went to complete the post after church the next day, it took us almost two hours again to get the computer screens aligned and working.

Saturday morning, while Dave was working on it still in his robe and slippers, I couldn’t hold back the tears. I went out on the deck and cried out to God asking Him why writing for Him had to be so hard??!! I even said, “Satan is winning?!” I woke up with ideas about what I wanted to write and then felt defeat overtaking me as my mind emptied of all I planned to share.

But here’s what I do know: I will not be defeated. I might cry and be frustrated, but as long as I have breath and a means to communicate the thoughts the Lord gives me, I will not stop. I claim Psalm 16:8!

 And a huge praise for my husband’s willingness to persevere until we had some measure of victory.

So that being said, let me get into the meat of what I wanted to talk about this week, and brace yourself, it’s not pleasant but it is urgent.

When “Inclusive” is Abusive It’s Satanic!

If something in our life or culture is not from God, it’s from Satan!

Think about that for a minute. There are only two forces working in our world today, spiritual and satanic. Read the Bible for yourself. There’s either good or evil. Today’s culture and the liberal progressive Democrats have created a social and political agenda that discards and devalues God’s good and invites Satan’s evil to overtake America!

How can this happen in a nation with 210 million Christians? Because the church and many Christians are allowing it! Yes, God is in control, but we are His hands and feet on earth. My ministry is “About His Work!” Where I hope to be until He takes me home. Christians should all be about our Father’s work.

People have been bought, bribed, and paid to undermine our democracy. Whatever they don’t agree with is deemed racism as they denounce America as a failure. But the sole purpose of this fabricated race war and “inclusive” wokeism is to distract from their actual war on God.

A paraphrase of Jason’s comments is that America is the only country founded on biblical principles, almost as God’s experiment, and up until this administration, it’s been a success. But the atheist and people hostile to God want to end this biblical experiment so they’re waging an internal war to tear it down. That’s the real nuclear weapon!

Wokeness is a smokescreen and attack on God and believers regardless of skin color. We need to wake up and watch what they’re doing. They’re attacking God! Whitlock explains, “If you think they’re attacking you, they’re not. They’re attacking God and attacking a country founded on biblical principles! It’s the only biblical experiment that’s ever been tried by a nation and the results are better than any other country.”

Which I’ve been saying almost every week in my blogs! Satan is real and he hates God’s people!

Yet, how many pastors or church leaders do you hear denouncing our country’s quick slide into the gates of hell?

When has your pastor from the pulpit, or you as a Jesus follower, taken action or even mentioned Satan unless talking about the Garden of Eden? I applaud your pastor and you if you’ve done more than just complain about how bad things are or how they’re effecting you personally. But many believers are doing nothing to speak out against the evil or tell their pastor that the congregation needs tools to stop the satanic overtaking of America, our families, our children.

Sadly, NC Pastor John Amanchukwu said about his fellow pastors, “The modern-day pastor today is more like a whimp than like a watchman because they won’t address Critical Race Theory.”

Pastor Mark Burns at a Flashpoint rally in Phoenix reminded us that the government should rest on the shoulders of the people not crush the people. CRT, racism, transgender agenda, and all wokeism is a war against Bible-believing Christians . . . ultimately against God.

Both of those pastors BTW are black!

The church was silent during the 50 years of Roe v Wade and many were silent when it was overturned?! How hard did anyone fight against same sex marriage, taking the Bible and prayers out of schools? Satan has watched our lethargy and apathy and taken advantage to go full speed ahead to attack all Christian values in America.

How many pastors are addressing the following issues destroying our culture, our families, our children?

  •   Desensitizing children with radical sex ed in the classroom—as young as elementary school.
  • Grooming young children to “explore their sexual identity” and “embrace alternative lifestyles” as part of classroom exercises.
  • Forcing affirmation of pronouns that destroy the biblical definition of gender as exclusively male and female.
  • Allowing boys in girls’ bathrooms, and vice versa.
  • Demeaning girls by letting boys who “identify” as transgender take over girls’ sports.
  • Indoctrinating children through teachers describing their own radical sexual identity and lifestyle choices in the classroom.
  • Confusing children by teaching them Critical Race Theory (CRT), woke history (with all kinds of politically correct rewriting), and often blatantly anti-American propaganda.
  • Labeling concerned parents as “domestic terrorists.

Satan is Coming to Your Town

Maybe you’ve watched the disgusting degenerate flaunting of men dressed up as women sexually and explicitly gyrating in front of children as they’ve moved out of the libraries and into restaurants for “Drag brunches,” which are of course on Sunday morning. Playing music during this sex performance that is so sexual, vile, explicit, and pornographic that when clips are shown on TV programs willing to expose this depraved behavior, they can’t even play the background music because it’s so X-rated. Yet little ears and eyes are sitting in these brunches watching and hearing all of this filth. These drag perverts get money thrown at them like strippers and even have websites where you can contribute to their satanic evil. It’s all for money!

You say to yourself what kind of parents would take their children to something like this and that’s a good question. Parents are threatened with legal action if they don’t let a minor mutilate their body, but there’s no problem with them taking their children to see live porn!

What kind of city or restaurant or local legislators would allow this pornography and child abuse? Your city and my city!!

A restaurant in our town, Asiago’s in downtown Boise is having drag Sunday brunches with children welcome! I’ve called and expressed my disdain and put their phone number on my social media and announced in church that this evil is happening in our Capitol city!

Walsh also exposed that Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. was promoting and performing sex change mutilation on young children. There was even an admission caught on a “hot mic” that now that revenue has been lost from abortions, performing theses sex change operations on children would be an ongoing source of revenue because these poor children as they grow will need to keep returning for medical or psychological care for the rest of their lives!!!

Vanderbilt even put out a sick commercial telling parents they should “support” their young children’s desire to change their gender. Those in this abhorrent satanic “industry,” consider it a profitable business, just like the murder of innocent babies in abortions.

If your child said at any age that they wanted to fly, would you take them to a rooftop and say go for it? Parents are to be the protectors of their children not supporters of crazy dangerous ideas that are wrong and can cause permanent damage to them for the rest of their lives. Children aren’t allowed to vote, own a gun, drink, even get into an R rated movie without their parents and yet the Biden administration is supporting young children changing their gender preference without even consulting parents!! Or in some states, the children can be removed from parents who don’t go along with this insanity.

Gender reassignment is an evil myth. You may try surgically or hormonally to change who God made you, but the gender you were at birth is the gender you are for life no matter how many attempts to manipulate your body parts that God fearfully and wonderfully gifted to you. It’s a dangerous fad and a result of our sick society that allows these confused children to be damaged for the rest of their life. It should be outlawed, but instead it’s protected and promoted by laws.

We need to teach our children to believe what God says about each one of His creations: I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14

You cannot be a Christian and support any of this satanic behavior even if it’s happening in your own family or with people you know. How do I know it’s satanic because it’s nothing God would ever support. He’s not saying, ‘Oh you’re right I really meant to make Johnny a Sally or Sally a Johnny. What was I thinking when I wonderfully created them in their mother’s womb? Ooops let’s change all of that!’ NO!!! God never makes a mistake. Only Satan is the author of confusion, which we’re observing right now and the culture for the most part is going right along with it.

Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should or that it’s right.

The premise of BLM and Marxism/Communism is to destroy the church, its values, and the family. We’re watching this happen right before our eyes and too many in the church are afraid to speak the truth. As a consequence, the next generation…our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren…are suffering.

What Can Be Done?

Please don’t just passively read this blog and say to yourself it’s really terrible what’s happening in our society. Take action. Do something about it! We aren’t to be just hearers of the Word but doers. Once you’ve heard the truth, and if you’ve read to this point, you’re now quite aware of Satan’s attack on our society and you can make a choice to do more than simply put a “like” on a social media post or even comment to me, you can make a decision to do something right here, right now!

Pray: First pray asking God what difference can you make wherever He has planted you? Where does He want you to be bold, brave, courageous, and a responsible citizen and Christian? “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Take Action: Whatever you hear the Lord telling you to do, do it. Just do it! Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22

Vote: Both parties are surprised how many nonpoliticians who are Conservative Republicans, and many are Christians, have heard the call to run for office. As Jason Whitlock would say, they want to keep our great American biblical experiment succeeding by putting God and His principles back into legislation and ousting out of office the woke, demonic, progressive, devious politicians who want to inclusively destroy America!

It’s disgraceful how many Christians don’t vote; don’t be one of them. God gave us this country and He gave you the freedom to protect it as an American citizen. It’s shameful, lazy, and cowardly not to try and make your voice heard with your vote.

A sweet elderly lady in church who has had a stroke, her husband’s blind and deaf, came up to me last Sunday at church. She said she liked the things I often share in church. Would I please help them research who to vote for as Conservative Republicans. They don’t want mail in, they want to go fill out their ballots in person like they always have.

Don’t let this little lady shame you. Get out and vote like your life, your country, your family, the future of America depended on it, because it does! For those who say you don’t want to get involved in politics, politics will get involved with you!

You Must Know and Speak the Truth to Remain Free

I was shocked last week when a friend posted on Facebook about the deadly Fentanyl crisis in our country. That wasn’t the shocking part because if you listen to FOX news or NEWSMAX or anything besides mainstream media, you hear every night how Fentanyl is flowing over our open borders and killing 300 people every day, especially children. No that wasn’t a surprise to me because I’m aware of the destruction of our country from the Left’s open borders. A crisis they NEVER talk about, in fact the VP tries to tell you the border is secure! Secure for the cartels maybe.

No, the shock was the first comment under my friend’s post: “What is fentanyl?”

How could you live in America and not know about fentanyl? Because mainstream media doesn’t talk about the drug crisis or the horrific deaths, rapes, and child abuse happening at the out-of-control open border. The ONLY newscaster at the border reporting what’s really happening there is FOX News reporter Bill Melugin. And he’s increasingly “irritating the White House” because he provides video evidence contrary to their narrative that the border is secure and everything is under control. Naught!

Now, this is not a blog sponsoring FOX, but it is a blog to draw attention to the news that is NOT reported and the continual lies told by the White House and mainstream media. There’s a looming threat to our country and many people are oblivious, like the woman commenting on my friend’s post. FOX along with NEWSMAX are reporting the raw undeniable evidence that we’re being lied to and deceived by this administration.

Fentanyl is now coming across the border looking like candy and laced into other street drugs and even food and drinks and it is deadly! Just today in church, I spoke with a father who lost his son to fentanyl. When have you EVER heard Biden or Harris even mention this lethal threat?! NEVER! Some progressive DA’s aren’t even arresting drug dealers!

I follow iVoterGuide, which is a Conservative Christian nonprofit organization researching who we should vote for in our elections. They provide information on candidates who have a record of championing Christian Conservative values. iVoterGuide is a division of AFA (American Family Association) which I also follow. I received an email last week from iVoterGuide that is so valuable I want to share parts of it with you. I know that not everyone follows links that I post, so I’m going to write below some of the invaluable points in their email with the subject line “Decoding the Left’s Lies.”

I’m always telling my husband how important words are in communication. If he says something is “up” I look up, but he might just mean it’s on top of something and not in the sky where I’m looking up. Sometimes what he describes as the bottom of something is what I think is the top. We have this conversation often. We’re not trying to deceive each other; we just have different perspectives.

Decoding the Left’s Lies

 But the left and the media are trying to deceive us. They have a diabolical plan to mislead and lie via misinformation, changing the definition of words, and creating new terms then making them into law. That’s what Debbie Wuthnow, President of IVoterGuide, shares in the email I present parts of to you here. The following is from Debbie’s email.

Words can be used to clarify. Words can also be used to “spin” or distort.

Part of iVoterGuide’s mission is to clarify issues when politicians try to distort them. This election year, our team is working overtime to “break the code words” politicians use to try to fool Judeo-Christian voters.

We’ve seen just this year how easily words can be abused. The White House, along with their liberal allies in the media, literally tried to redefine the word “recession” to avoid accountability for our economic freefall.

Here are a few examples of the “code words” we are fighting against that twist the truth and deceive voters into voting AGAINST their own beliefs and values:

CODE: “Reproductive healthcare” or “Reproductive access”

TRANSLATION: Abortion of unborn human beings, often without restriction for all nine months of pregnancy and often funded with taxpayer dollars. This also often means taxpayer funding of contraception in public schools, college campuses, and even workplaces.

In examining thousands of candidates across the country, we typically found the above code used by wishy-washy politicians trying to appease both sides when they address legislative or party platform language on the sanctity of life.

Make no mistake: Politicians using this code are almost never truly pro-life.

CODE: “Gender-affirming care”

TRANSLATION: Radical and dangerous sex-change procedures, including artificial hormone injection and surgically re-creating reproductive organs—which often means genital mutilation. Such procedures are increasingly being pushed on minors, sometimes as early as middle and elementary school.

Studies show that far from curing problems, these procedures often magnify the problems of those struggling with their sexuality during adolescence (the suicide rate is actually higher post-procedure than prior to the procedure).

Voters must ensure the candidates they vote for are not being fooled by this deeply harmful rhetoric—or worse, covertly supporting it.

CODE: “Expand voting rights”

TRANSLATION: Enable ineligible voters to vote. This deliberately makes election fraud difficult to detect, difficult to investigate, and difficult to prosecute effectively.

The following are some examples of this dangerous code in action: stopping the cleaning up of voter rolls, expanding automatic voter registration and early voting, introducing same-day voter registration, allowing online voter registration and absentee ballot requests, letting voters opt-in to automatic mail-in ballots, pre-registration of minors as young as 16, not requiring any official photo ID to vote, and more.

As you’ll notice, all of these proposals disproportionately benefit the Left, since they would have a greater impact in highly concentrated urban areas which always vote more liberal and many of these measures would also incentivize inexperienced, low-information voters who are more likely influenced by the mainstream media.

We must elect leaders who will recognize the threat and the lie of “expanding voter rights” and stand up to those proposing this nonsense.

CODE: “Social Emotional Learning (SEL)” or “Whole-child education”

TRANSLATION: Harmful indoctrination based on feelings rather than facts. Instead of teaching schoolchildren tried-and-true facts regarding history, science, math, etc., this new methodology focuses on teaching kids to “get in touch with your senses and your feelings,” consider that “your truth may be different from the truth of others,” and “explore your identity.”

This often manifests itself as Critical Race Theory (CRT), graphic sex-ed literature taught as young as elementary school, teachers asking students about their “gender identity” and picking out “preferred pronouns,” and radical events like “drag queen story hour” (Note from Janet: this actually happened in Boise the Capitol of Idaho with a “drag kids show” on 9/11! I wrote about it in my blog Who is the Real Threat to the Soul of Our Nation)!

CODE: “_____ justice” (Environmental, economic, racial, social, etc.)

TRANSLATION: Forced redistribution of wealth, property, and income from “oppressor” groups to favored “oppressed” groups, usually funded by higher taxes on the oppressor groups.

Many candidates using the above code words support policies or platforms that amount to socialism. These terms are usually just an excuse to offer handouts in an attempt to earn minority votes, appease the woke mob and “politically correct” police, cater to climate change alarmists, and generally sow division.

Voters must be aware of the spineless politicians willing to play these games so they can vote for candidates who will not cave to the pressure.

Often I’m described as “bold and courageous” and my response is always, “Shouldn’t every Christian be?!” This is not the time to be uninformed and unwilling to speak up. I wrote an entire book for women on Everyday Brave: Living Courageously as a Woman of Faith and in that book, I highlight numerous women from the Old and New Testament who did incredibly courageous actions against incredible hardships, as well as the stories of modern-day brave women. Why do we in the 21st Century think we should be timid and fearful as believers?

Can I be so bold to say that if our country goes down in flames, it will be because the church stayed silent and let it happen. Exactly what happened in Germany with Hitler. We’re better than that. Yes, we pray, but we are also the Lord’s hands and feet while we still have breath and if we care about the world we’re leaving to our children and grandchildren, we will get involved. There are good people who are willing to serve, we just need to do our best to be sure they get elected and bring our country back from the brink of toppling and instill stability into this nation we love. We need to make America godly again!

Balancing Work and Life on Labor Day and Everyday!

I’ve always looked at Memorial Day and Labor Day as the bookends of summer. Both are now three-day weekend holidays that also commemorate the end of one school year and the beginning of the next—although today’s schools don’t stick as closely to that schedule anymore.

You probably have memories of Labor Day picnics, family reunions, and barbecues as the official end of summer; but beyond that, few stop to think about why we even have the day off. What is Labor Day anyway?

History of Labor Day

In 1894, Grover Cleveland made Labor Day a federal holiday after a failed attempt to break up a railroad strike. Observed on the first Monday in September, Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers.

Traditionally, all stores closed on Labor Day so workers could celebrate the holiday. Today, most stores are having Labor Day sales and their workforce is hard at work on a day dedicated to resting from work. Many people work on Labor Day without realizing: Hey, I’m a worker that has contributed to my company and I should have a day of rest!

Pray for Those Who Can’t Take the Day Off

Not every worker can take the day off and rest today. Those employed in the service industries often find holidays their busiest time: firemen, first responders, hospital employees, police, restaurant workers, gas stations, and now we can’t seem to go a day without a grocery store open. Seems like we could stock up on Saturday!

My father was a California Highway Patrolman and he took his turn at working every holiday. Labor Day is notoriously a heavy traffic day as travelers return from the three-day weekend and officially the last summer holiday. If you have to be on the road, drive carefully, courteously, and obey the speed limits. 

Pray for every police officer you see. They have a family keeping a plate of ribs or a hamburger warm for the end of their shift.

Work or Rest?

The Crosswalk.com article, Labor Day: Your Need for Both Work and Rest by Nick Batzig, caught my attention. It started out …

“As we come to celebrate another Labor Day, it may be beneficial for us to step back for a moment and consider what Scripture has to say about the rhythm of work and rest—i.e. the cyclical configuration by which all the events of our lives occur.”

The article discussed God’s original plan for work and how that all changed when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and why God wants us to have times of rest and refreshment. Batzig listed several changes over the years that have resulted in work being motivated by prestige, self-esteem, peer pressure, fear, anxiety, and lack of purpose outside of work, rather than simply providing for our family. The following point resonated with what I see happening in families today:

“Whereas traditional societies said that you got your meaning in life through your family, and through basically fulfilling a fairly prescribed social role—either as a mother or father, or a brother or sister, or husband or wife, or a son or a daughter…You just needed to find a way to make a living because family was what everything was about. But we’re the first culture in history that says, ‘You define yourself by defining what you want to be and by attaining it—and then you have significance.’ There’s never been more psychological and social and emotional pressure on work to be either fulfilling or at least lucrative. There’s never been a culture like that.

Learning to Balance Work and Life

Work has taken on such a priority in our culture that businesses are paying female employees to get an abortion or fly to a state that offers abortions rather than giving them time off to have their baby. I’ve heard it said by liberals with twisted values that instead of women taking maternity leave or quitting work to raise their children, abortion is better for the economy. Encouraging women to murder their babies so they won’t miss a day of work. That’s sick!

The companies, politicians, and economists subscribing to keeping women in the workforce rather than letting them experience motherhood, obviously value work over family. But the company isn’t going to be there for her when she ages, quits, is laid off, or becomes ill. The company doesn’t carry on her legacy or DNA. The company doesn’t love her like only a child can.

Family is the future of America. It’s how God designed us to live.

So God created mankind in his own image,  in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Gen 1:27-28

Making work a god that’s worshipped is evil.  “You must not have any other god but me. 4 “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea.” Ex. 20:3-4 NLT

Valuing work more than family is also from the evil one.

I’ll admit that I’m a recovering workaholic. The only way I’m able to balance work and rest is to prioritize the things that are the most important to me—serving God and my family. My ministry is About His Work Ministries, so I’m fortunate to serve God through my work of writing and speaking. I also make sure to schedule times of rest with my hubby, and we often plan those times into speaking event travels and trips to see our grandkids.

We also serve in ministry together as Dave assists me with About His Work Ministries, travels with me when I speak, and we co-lead a couples Bible study. But when I’m spending time with my family—my husband, children, and grandchildren—I set aside “work,” even ministry work, and focus on family.

That doesn’t leave much time in my schedule for “extra” activities, and so I’ve had to learn to say no to some good things. Before I say “yes,” and find myself with no time to rest and refresh, I’m trying to remember to do two things:

1. Pray and ask God if it’s something He wants me to do. Does it have Kingdom value?

2. Assess if I have the time and energy to add this activity to my calendar, and if so, what should it replace?

If I sense God telling me to go for it, I know I must remove something from my calendar, or I’ll become unbalanced trying to get all the work done and rest will suffer.
