Have a “Meaningful Memorial Day!”

I remember as a kid going to the cemetery every Memorial Day to put flowers and flags on my father’s grave, a World War II veteran, and on other soldier’s graves. There was always a ceremony. I don’t know how much that tradition continues today. It should. Our small town has a memorial wall at the park where people can purchase and place a brick in memory and honor of a local Gold Star family’s fallen soldier. There’s also a ceremony in their remembrance.

Memorial Day is often “celebrated” as the beginning of summer, with a day off, BBQ’s and parties. But it’s actually a very solemn day to pay tribute to and mourn members of the military who died in service to their country. It’s a deeply personal day for many Gold Star families who lost loved ones in military service. It’s a day to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the country they loved.

If you’re a Gold Star family, Memorial Day is truly a personal day of remembrance of your loved one and an ache in your heart that never completely goes away but may soften with time . . . or not.

As we honor the life of brave men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom, instead of saying “Happy Memorial Day,” can I suggest it’s more appropriate to say, “I wish you a Meaningful Memorial Day.”

National Law Enforcement Appreciation Month and Memorial!

May is also the month to honor those who lost their lives protecting us from harm domestically. The entire month of May is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Month. May 15th is National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which May 15 falls is National Police Week.

Far too often, we hear Police Chiefs tearfully making statements like, “We’re heartbroken to make this announcement of the shooting of three of our officers. We ask for your support and prayers for our fellow officers and their families as we try to cope with yet another tragic event in our police family.”

I understand the toll this job can take on the officers and their families. I was so proud of my handsome father when he put on his California Highway Patrolman uniform and badge. Until the morning I woke up to wails and sobs coming from our living room filled with people. Even as a ten-year-old, I knew intuitively my father was gone. When he kissed me goodbye as he left for work that evening, it would be the last time I ever saw him alive. A reality our family lived with every day, but one we never thought would happen to us, until it did.

The job of a peace officer is to run toward danger, at the risk of his or her own life, to save and protect strangers. It once was a noble respected profession, but today’s culture has come to expect that many will die senselessly. Their death barely makes the local news.

President Trump is changing that when last week he awarded the new “Medal of Sacrifice” to the families of three fallen Florida police officers. “Congressman Brian Mast has introduced a bill to ensure this new medal will be awarded to any law enforcement officer or first responder who gives his or her life in the line of duty,” President Trump said.

“For the first time in our nation’s history — all of our first responders, all of our law enforcement, all of our firefighters — we’re going to recognize that sacrifice from the office of the presidency,” said Congressman Mast. “And that has never taken place before.”

We can also honor all police officers by using respectful words when talking about and to them. Pray when you see police officers patrolling or a police car on the road. Don’t pray for yourself that they don’t pull you over, but pray because you don’t know what awaits them the next time they make a traffic stop. When you hear a siren, pray. We never know when we, or our loved ones, might be the life they’re rushing to save.

Four Prayers for Police Officers and Their Families

Prayer for Protection

Lord, we don’t know why You implant in the hearts of brave men and women to choose a profession that requires walking into danger and putting their life on the line to stop lawlessness and crime. You’ve given them a willingness to enforce the law to protect the communities where they serve. Are they fearless? Unintimidated? Thrill seekers? Or do they truly love their neighbor more than themselves and want to do their part in justice for all?

Only You know for sure, Lord, what motivates them, but we do know they need a band of angels surrounding them with a hedge of protection. Lord, they face evil and the dark side of life every day. They see the worst of people and people at their worst. Their work tools are weapons. We pray Lord for their safety as they walk up to a car or house or unknown situation never knowing what danger awaits them. If they know You Lord, remind them to say their own prayer of protection and ask You to intervene against any foe. Perhaps something like David prayed, “I come to you for protection, O Lord my God. Save me from my persecutors—rescue me!” (Psalm 1:7 NLT).

When they emerge safe and victorious, Father, as David did when he was rescued from Saul, give them a heart to give You the glory. If they don’t know You as their Savior, become real to these officers. Let them know You took the bullet for them. Amen

“God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.” (2 Samuel 22:31 NLT)

Prayer for Wisdom and Guidance

Lord, police officers’ days are filled with uncertainties and unknowns as they make quick and often life-changing or life-threatening decisions. Help them to be wise and invoke all their training and experience before moving or speaking. When they have the opportunity to investigate a situation before taking action and engaging, give them patience not to rush to judgement or anger. If they discern a quick decision or movement is required, direct them to move swiftly but safely. If they need to wait for back up or ask for help, don’t let them be prideful or rash but consider the best outcome for everyone involved.

For those who have a relationship with You, remind them that You’re always there for them, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking” (James 1:5 NLT).

Guide them with their conscience and their code of conduct. Help them remember the protocol and give them the courage to do the next right thing for the best outcome. When they need to take orders from their chain of command, give them humble but steady hearts and guard their words.

Give them compassion when they determine there is no ill intent but also a keen awareness for deception. Remind them that they may not have all the evidence to make a final decision. Help them to see the good in people, and don’t let their hearts become hardened and calloused by the deceit and dark-side of life they encounter daily. Amen

“I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.” (Psalm 119:125)

Prayer for Their Families

Father, You’ve graciously given two families to every police officer: their personal family and their professional family. To their personal families, please give strength to endure the demanding schedule of a police officer. Provide understanding and flexibility for the times when their officer isn’t available for special occasions.

Instill the family with compassion when he or she doesn’t want to talk about their work and give the family intuition to know when their officer needs the space to decompress when returning home. May the family never minimize the significance of a police officer’s work. Let home be a place of solace when he or she returns safely but perhaps scarred by what they’ve seen and experienced.

Lord, it takes a special kind of love and patience to live with police officers. Remind the family members to pray for their officer daily and to let him or her know they’re prayed over, appreciated, and loved. Help family members to be alert and responsive when their officer is showing signs of stress, overwork, and trauma and encourage them to seek help. Likewise, Father surround the family with those who will notice the tenuous relationships that can develop within the family members.

Father, these precious and brave families make sacrifices few understand. Fill their homes with love, peace, joy, grace, and closeness because they support a police officer even at their own sacrifice.

Lord, every officer also has a close work family bond. They’re a team who have each other’s back and depend on one another for support, encouragement, skill, and camaraderie in facing the challenges of the job. Lord, bring unity and synergy to these men and women as they guard each other’s lives while working together to keep the streets of their communities safe and free of crime.

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” (Romans 12:10)

Prayer for Mourners of Those Lost in the Line of Duty

Father, there are no more heart wrenching screams than, “Officer down.” Except perhaps the torment of a family opening the door to see two fellow officers of their officer standing with grim faces and tears welling in their eyes as the family falls to its knees with guttural shrieks, “No God, please no!” Or maybe You hear them wailing, “Why God, how could You do this when they were only trying to protect our community?” “Lord, where were You when they were dying?”

Lord, how does anyone comfort this family? Like Jeremiah they wail, “My grief is beyond healing; my heart is broken” (Jeremiah 18:18 NLT). There are no human answers to satisfy or soothe their agonizing wounds of grief, anger, and sorrow. Only You can Lord. Psalm 147:3 assures, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”  Psalm 34:18 NLT confirms, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”

We beg of You to surround them with love. Bring others to their side who’ve experienced their pain and understand the deep ache in their heart to pray with and for them. Keep away those who patronizingly tell them everything will be all right, because for this family, it will never be all right again.

Father, You know the fellow officers who mourn with the family, especially those who were with the fallen officer. Remove the repeated nightmares of asking themselves what they could’ve done differently or why wasn’t it them in the coffin. Lord, You know that the death of their fellow officer will always haunt them and the memory will never fade. Father guide them to the help they need to recover from what they’ve seen and don’t let it cause division among the unit or place any in danger with fear and hesitancy. Guide them in keeping their focus on work when they’re on duty and help guard their minds from the “what-ifs” when they try to sleep at night. Help them rest and renew their resolve to do their job to the best of their ability.

Father, we know You mourn with these families. Give them whatever they need. Walk beside them Father. If they know You as their Lord and Savior, draw them into Your embrace and fill them with a peace that passes all understanding. For those who don’t know You, open their eyes to seek You, the only source of relief from their anguish. Let them feel Your presence grieving with them. Your tears. Your hugs. Your love. Amen

God, NOT The Government, Controls the Climate!

You can’t turn on the news today without hearing about the “LA Apocalypse” of wind and fire that has destroyed thousands of homes, displaced over 100,000 people, and taken 24 lives as of this writing. The LA sheriff expects the loss of life count will go up when they’re able to search through the ashes for those who have gone missing. Not to mention the wildlife that couldn’t escape. The pictures we see of charred cars, burnt homes and businesses looks like the fictional movies depicting the apocalyptic end of the world.

Certainly, it could seem like the end of their world to those impacted by these horrific fires with the loss of keepsakes, treasures, possessions, clothes, shelter, homes, and maybe even lives. We need to be praying for the first responders, firefighters, and residents—rich or poor—who only escaped with the clothes on their backs and maybe a computer and pets.

What’s Predictable is Preventable

What has infuriated many watching and experiencing this crisis unfold, is California government’s neglect to prepare the residents and take preventive preparation when the National Weather Service had issued numerous red flag warnings of a dangerous situation brewing. Finger pointing, excuses, lying, and blaming instead of taking responsibility and showing leadership is the government response. There’s an apparent lack of sincere compassion and caring by the governor and mayor whose job it is to protect the residents of California. Instead, they seem more concerned about their own political futures or defending their political agenda.

When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan. Pr. 29:2

Then there’s the liberal politicians in Washington who immediately start touting the climate change hoax as the cause, which helps no one and is a lie straight from the devil.

Remember back in the Garden of Eden where Satan tempted Adam and Eve with the idea that they could be God. That didn’t work out well for them and it doesn’t for us either. No matter how smart or scientific man thinks he is, God created climate, the weather, and the wind. In the Bible, wind is mentioned 247 times and in 41 Books in the Bible. The first time was right after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit after Satan told them they could be like God (Gen. 5).

 When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees. Gen. 3:8 NLT

Winds became violent in biblical times too. For example, Job 1:19, 23; Jer. 4:11, 13:24; Ex. 14:21, 26. And who can forget Jesus quieting the winds with the disciples in the boat during a storm. These might’ve been 100 mile per hour winds too, maybe worse.

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” Mark 4:40-41

Wind isn’t new. Seasonal weather changes aren’t new. Fire isn’t new. Sadly, man thinking He can control what only God controls isn’t new either.

What is new is . . .

  • Dry fire hydrants with no water!
  • The LA water chief admitting her work is guided through an ‘equity lens.’
  • The LA fire chief touted as a “lesbian” whose goal is to make the fire department more DEI staffed.
  • The LA mayor being on a junket to Ghana and cutting the fire department’s budget by $17 million.
  • The governor cutting fire management budget by $100M a few months before the lethal fires!
  • Because of budget cuts, using prisoners and firefighters from Mexico to help battle the blazes.
  • The governor sending rain and snow water out to the ocean and shutting down four dams in the state while nearby reservoirs are empty.
  • And on and on…

Over the years, man’s atheistic attempt to corral and control the weather has been called climate change, climate control, global warming, greenhouse gasses, climate crisis, climate emergency, climate breakdown, polar vortex, and the latest “green new deal,” which climate cult alarmist AOC said in 2019 we’d all be dead in 12 years if not followed. Before AOC, others made similar wild predictions that never materialized.

When AOC and liberals first proposed the green new deal, it was considered a ridiculous joke. Yet today, liberal states like California have used it to create an environment safer for fish than for people! They’ve wasted billions of dollars to satisfy environmentalists while not clearing brush, doing controlled burns, logging, or collecting the rain and snowfall God sends to help put out fires.

Man tries to predict the weather that God sends, but that weather forecast can change minute by minute. In the case of California, high velocity Santa Ana winds were predicted in the LA area and winds often lead to fire from fallen power lines or arsonists, maybe even terrorist, who use the winds to nefariously and satanically start fires.

Before moving to Idaho almost 14 years ago, I lived my entire life in SoCal. I’ve experienced earthquakes, Santa Ana winds which I thought was going to rip off my roof the night before my wedding, fires which caused several evacuations in an area where we had a cabin, and mudslides when the rains come after the fires. So, I understand California weather and I know it’s important to vote in government officials who care more about protecting their constituents and the land then the latest DEI or progressive liberal ideology.

Here’s what I also know about God and weather regardless of the state you live in.

  • God created fire and it’s a significant symbol of divine manifestations in the Bible. God appeared to Moses in a burning bush and the pillar of fire led the Israelites by night through the desert, representing the presence and power of God.
  • We see other Demonstrations of God’s power and authority, such as Elijah’s sacrifice and fiery furnace in Daniel, showcase the divine ability to consume and protect through fire.
  • The Holy Spirit descending as tongues of fire at Pentecost signifies spiritual empowerment and the purifying work of God in believers’ lives.
  • The Lake of Fire serves as a cautionary warning for believers and unbelievers, reminding them of the consequences of rejecting God, His Son, and His righteousness.

Everyone Needs the Lord Now More Than Ever! Is God Trying to Get Our Attention?

We’re experiencing weekly, sometimes daily, crises and catastrophes. While many of us remain hopeful that progressive woke, DEI policies, illegal invasion, terrorism, and crime will be contained under a new presidency, only God knows the future. We need to put our trust in Him and not in our government. Government will surely fail us because they often forget they’re NOT God. Listen for the still small voice like Elijah heard after the wind, the earthquake, and the fire.

 “Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. 1 Kings 19:11-13

The True Meaning of Apocalypse

Tom Gilbreath wrote in “A Message From HalLindsey.com” On January 12, 2025 . . .

The word apocalypse means “reveal” or “revelation.” We associate the word with massive, fiery disasters because of the horrors described in the book of Revelation. But the first five words of that book tell what it’s really about — “The revelation of Jesus Christ.” 

With the real definition in mind, I hope that Los Angeles and California, along with the rest of America, will view this as a wakeup call. Actor Dennis Quaid, on a local television news report Friday night, said, “I think there’s a spiritual awakening on the other side of this.” May it be so. May there be a real apocalypse — a revelation. May Christ be revealed, and may America see the light.

Pastor Jack Hibbs, I wrote about in last week’s blog 2025 A Year of New Beginnings, that I’m praying with him on Facebook live every morning, was fired up in his Sunday morning message on January 12, 2025. He doesn’t hold back. Here’s a clip of who he thinks should run for Governor in California and LA mayor.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
    because the Lord has anointed me

    to proclaim freedom for the captives

2025 A Year of New Beginnings!

Why do we get so excited about celebrating the end of one year and the beginning of the next? Maybe it’s because we have a fresh start to do those things we didn’t accomplish or finish in the past year. Maybe the past year had disappointments and heartaches. Maybe we didn’t finish or even start last year’s goals and we want to try again this year.

Even if the past year was wonderful, we get excited about making new life history. This New Year, we’re excited to have a positive direction change in our nation. We’re glad the blundering administration’s four years are over and we can’t wait for the new competent administration to start. Many people today are counting down to January 20 like they countdown to Christmas. We have high hopes and expectations for President Trump’s promises and plans and his cabinet choices to start cleaning up the carnage left by the failed anti-American, anti-faith, anti-common sense Biden administration.

Whatever our reasons, most of us are ready to “turn the page” of 2024. I’m personally embracing the motto “Revive in 2025.” That was the opening article theme of my December 2024 About His Work Ministries newsletter. Revive Your Bible Reading in 2025

Each of us will determine what we want to revive in our personal life this year. For some, it might be reading the Bible in a year, which is something I’ve enjoyed doing for years. I’m praying for my daughter and granddaughter who are committing to this revival in their life in 2025. Each is using a different reading plan, and I’m cheering and praying for them to accomplish this worthy goal by the end of the year. Their lives are going to be abundantly revived and enriched by what God has to say and show them through His Word. They’re in for a huge blessing!

Some of you might be committing to reading a Scripture a day for 365 days. No matter how you do it, gleaning the wisdom, encouragement, love, and guidance from letting God’s Word, the Holy Bible, speak to you daily will result in a spiritual and personal revival.

I’ve found that changing up the Bible translation I read each year adds freshness. Last year, I listened to the Bible from Genesis to Revelation on my earbuds while working out at the gym. I finished the last chapters at the gym on December 31! Combining physical enhancement with spiritual enhancement put a new kick in my step. I followed the CBN annual Bible reading plan, which I’m doing again in 2025.

There’s still time to start if you would like to read the Bible this year or maybe read the Old Testament or the New Testament.

Revive Your Prayer Life in 2025

At the beginning of 2024, the Lord told me my prayer life was going to deepen. I was curious to know what He had planned for me. Then I became involved with My Faith Votes (MFV) and soon I was enjoying prayer zoom meetings on Monday mornings with MFV action partners from across the nation, and during the week, with our MFV group here in Idaho. What an inspirational way to start the day praying with like-minded fellow conservative men and women as we called on the Lord with our petitions and praises for our country, state, and each other.

Even as I continue praying and serving with My Faith Votes in 2025, God has more for me this year. On December 30, 2024, Hubby and I watched Kirk Cameron’s Takeaways program on TBN. A rerun we hadn’t seen, but God wanted us to see it. Kirk was interviewing Matthew West, a favorite Christian musician of ours who we’ve seen perform in person. Kirk and Matthew’s topic was prayer. Matthew has a new album out “Don’t Stop Praying,” and he and Kirk had an inspirational discussion about prayer.

Matthew West says about his new album: “My new album #DontStopPraying is OUT NOW!! Each song in its own way is inspired by the different types of prayers we find ourselves praying throughout our lives. We pray prayers for strength when we are weak, prayers for a miracle when we need a breakthrough, prayers for purpose when we feel lost. Most of all, I wanted to make a record that echoed the call I have felt in my own heart to hit my knees like never before and never forget that the most important conversation I could have today, and every day of my life, is with the One who made me, knows me, and has the best plan for my life. I hope these songs inspire you to discover for the first time, or maybe rediscover, the power of a prayer.

West is going to share some of his favorite “mission statement” songs on his Facebook page every day in January to kick off the New Year, which I’m going to listen to. He also has a prayer wall on his website.

God was using Kirk Cameron and Matthew West to talk to me about enhancing my prayer life. Isn’t that just like God to show a past episode just two days before the start of 2025! It was obvious that God had new prayer revelations and plans for me in the New Year.

Then January 3, God moved again. He woke me up early, and as I settled into my quiet time chair with a cup of coffee, I turned on my cell phone. Pastor Jack Hibbs was looking back at me on Facebook live. Apparently, Pastor Hibbs had started on January 1, at 5:00 am PT, 6:00 am MT, a 5–10-minute morning prayer group. You can tell he too is just waking up. With tussled hair, wearing a hoodie, and talking softly outside to not wake up the rest of the house, he shares a short devotional and Scripture based prayer. If you’ve ever heard Pastor Hibbs speak, his knowledge of the Bible, no notes, just talking directly to us, is amazing.

Now, maybe you don’t want to wake up that early, and I don’t always either, but he’s recording live on his Facebook post and sharing on Instagram and X, so you can watch it anytime you want. The idea is to start your day praying with him and others. Here’s how he describes it for those who would like to join us.

Revive Your Health in 2025

As a former Registered Dietitian, I always say, “Once a dietitian, always a dietitian.” I’m thrilled that the Trump administration will be looking into the thousands of toxins and additives in our foods that aren’t even allowed in other countries!

Also on a side note, did you read the recent report by the US Surgeon General that alcohol has been linked to seven types of cancer? He wants alcohol labeled just like cigarettes, “Alcohol is a cancer risk!” Alcohol consumption is the “third leading preventable cause of cancer” in the country with tobacco and obesity taking the top two spots.

The liquor lobby, manufacturers, and distributors distribute propaganda to the public that small amounts of alcohol are good for your health. A blatant potentially lethal money-making lie. The small amounts of antioxidants found in red wine for example are also found in larger amounts in blueberries and spinach, which are good for you, not harmful.

Alcohol is a toxin and causes inflation. How could it be good for you when besides cancer, it also leads to obesity, lethargy, depression, sleep problems, and addiction?! If you drink alcohol, consider asking yourself, “Why?” With the high cost of healthy food today, maybe your 2025 budget could use the break of eliminating cancer-causing alcohol.

The Battle to ‘Fight, Fight, Fight’ Has Just Begun!

You may have noticed there were no Monday Morning Blogs for several weeks in November. That’s because hubby Dave and I went on a Media Research Center (MRC) “After Election Caribbean Cruise.” I didn’t know much about the Media Research Center when I saw the advertisements for the cruise on Facebook. But reading about the FOX News speakers and Christian actor Kevin Sorbo and his wife Sam going on the cruise, I knew we’d be with like-minded Conservatives who would either mourn together the election results or joyfully celebrate the new President-Elect, Donald J. Trump. As it turned out, we were joyful! Excited! Hopeful! Expectant! As many rejoiced, “We’ve got our country back!”

If you follow me regularly, you know I’m a Conservative Christian who was praying and working towards a Trump victory, which turned out to be beyond our expectations as the American people overwhelmingly used their ballots to say we’d had enough with the progressive liberal demise of our great country under the Biden/Harris Administration.

The election victory was Christians, conservatives, some Democrats, Libertarians, and those in the middle showing by a landslide turnout that we’d had enough! Enough of open borders, high prices, inflation, wokeness, crime, wars, excessive government spending, legal warfare against opponents, and a tone-deaf media and White House that only represented the far-left extreme progressive minority, while ignoring, belittling, and slandering the majority as “deplorables” “unintelligent” “garbage.” We wanted a return to common sense.

When Donald J Trump was shot in the ear in an attempted assassination, he struggled to his feet, raised his fist in the air, and iconically cried out “Fight, fight, fight!” We did exactly that with our vote, which as he had predicted, would be too big to rig. Thank you to everyone who voted, and to anyone who participated in My Faith Votes Write Now campaign! Even many blue states had large areas of red as Trump won the popular and electoral vote.

But the fight is not over. It’s now moving into a new battleground of getting Trump’s cabinet choices through the Senate. Just like during the election campaign, the liberal progressive media arm of the Democrat party is spewing lies and negative stories from “anonymous” sources to try to discredit Trump’s nominations. They know he’s choosing people who will go into the various departments and clean out the deep state and anyone with more self-interest than interest in making America Great Again!

Here’s how the Media Research Center helps. MRC is a nonprofit media watchdog that researches the lies, misinformation, and propaganda of the mainstream left-leaning media and feeds their findings to conservative outlets and the public to expose the biased media. Be on the lookout for statistics, graphs, and videos that say MRC or even MRC spokespeople appearing in interviews.

As an example of what MRC does, let’s take Google. A December 6th MRC email exposes the left-leaning bias of Google, which MRC has learned used its search engine and tech prowess to help rig more than 40 elections dating back to 2008. MRC learned that in 2024, Google did more to censor information in the election than any tech company in any election ever did! If you looked for good news and information about Kamala Harris, you got good news and information about Kamala Harris. If you looked for good news and information about Donald Trump, you got good news and information about Kamala Harris. 

MRC also learned that Google’s artificial intelligence bot, Gemini, doesn’t even acknowledge that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. Google’s subsidiary YouTube was willing to limit the reach of the most popular video of the year – the Trump interview with podcaster Joe Rogan – to keep it from boosting Trump in the polls.

MRC also learned that Google buried campaign websites and news about conservative candidates – especially those who worked on tech issues – and promoted leftist candidates, their websites, and favorable press. 

 Google is using these same tactics to undermine Trump’s cabinet nominees. On Nov. 26 and again on Dec. 3, MRC used its proprietary methods for conducting “clean” internet searches – searches not influenced by prior search history or tracking cookies – to search for the names of various Trump nominees. 

On Nov. 26, MRC found that Google listed 20 times more articles from left-leaning publications than from conservative outlets. In the Dec. 3 search, the ratio was 18:1!

The platform even displayed a hit piece by the prestigious publication Teen Vogue on the first page of news search results for Linda McMahon, Trump’s appointment to lead the Department of Education. 

MRC’s vigilance is producing results. When they revealed that Google was manipulating search results so responses to Trump produced results for Harris, Trump threatened legal action once he becomes president. The people he has chosen for the jobs that would be critical to doing this seem serious about looking into Google’s practices.

Along with what the MRC has unearthed about Google, they’re also watchdogs on mainstream media, which after recovering from their failure to persuade the public to not elect President Trump, is now going after his cabinet choices to try and handicap his America-first agenda.

I want to talk about one specific person currently under attack by the left media, Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense. The Pentagon and military need an elimination of DEI woke focus and return to a warrior focus. Pete’s the right veteran for the job. Because the quivering quaking left know this, they’re trying to use Google and the unscrupulous press to destroy him, but he’s a fighter who won’t retreat.

If you Google Pete Hegseth today, the opening articles are all negative and from left-leaning publications like New York Magazine, ABC News, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Politico, The New York Times, CNN. You have to scroll a long way down the page before you see a FOX News video from Mark Levin, “Pete Hegseth will be a fantastic Secretary of Defense” next to another positive video interview from The Hill. Those are the only two positive headlines on the entire page, as it reverts to negative articles from CNN.

Then way down the page you see the best-selling books Pete has authored: The War On Warriors, American Crusade, Modern Warriors, In the Arena: Good Citizens, a Great Republic, and How One Speech Can Reinvigorate America. Then it’s back to liberal negative Associated Press News and NBC News hit pieces.

I’m singling out Pete Hegseth as an example of the left using the media to try to crush Trump’s attempt to surround himself with men and women who will support him and his agenda because Dave and I have personally met Pete and know his testimony. He was the keynote speaker at the Idaho Family Policy Center’s Gala this past February 2024. We went because I had heard Pete often on FOX News and I knew he was a man of faith and integrity, a father of seven, a fierce patriot, and had served our country in two wars.

We were not disappointed. He was a fabulous, genuine, authentic speaker who obviously loves God, his family, and America. When we heard on the cruise that President-Elect Trump had picked Pete as his nominee for Secretary of Defense, I was elated. With decorated battlefield experience, Pete understands the heart and mind of the military.

What I didn’t expect was the way the left and the media, one in the same, would come after him to literally try to destroy him and his family. Labeling his Christian faith as, “an extreme strain of Christian Nationalism” because he has Christian tattoos and “appears to believe in applying biblical Christian law to society, male leadership, and actively preparing the world for the prophesied return of Jesus.” Well, I don’t have tattoos, but I believe that too! The left has tried to demean male leadership as toxic, while they put men in dresses in the White House! No more! God created men to be masculine as the head of the church and the family, not to pretend that they’re women.

Apparently, in his younger years, as can happen with soldiers returning home, he had some experiences he’s not proud of but denies any impropriety. Both he and his mother say he is not the man he was 10 years ago, and he attributes the change in his life to being redeemed and forgiven by Jesus Christ, which I’ve heard him say a number of times especially in recent encounters with the media.

Pete’s also put the media on notice. He said at one point at a press conference, “This will not be a process tried in media. I don’t answer to anyone in this group—none of you. Not to that camera. I answer to President Trump who received 76 million votes and a mandate for change. I answer to the 100 senators who are a part of this process. And I answer to my Lord and Savior, my wife, and my family . . . as long as Donald Trump wants me in this fight, I’m going to be standing right here fighting.”

Sometimes, even Christians, forget that the heart of Christianity is admitting our sins, repentance, and receiving redeeming unconditional forgiveness from Jesus who wipes our slate clean. As Pete’s mother said, “He who is without sin, throw the first stone.” We were all there at one time, and, yes, there are consequences for our past, but God can and will still use us just as He did with King David and the Apostle Paul.

Pete is not the only cabinet nomination coming under attack. While we were on the cruise, we heard from Tom Homan, Trump’s Border Czar choice, via telephone that his family has been threatened and had to leave their home. Many of the nominees, along with their families, have been targeted with threats. Kash Patel, nominated to head the FBI, which desperately needs revamping, is another extremely capable nominee coming under attack because he has a proven record of finding the lawbreakers. I let out a cheer when I heard President Trump nominate him so pray for Kash too.  

As My Faith Votes, “Friday Five” expressed: “While our Senators must do their job and properly vet each nominee, they must also evaluate them with fairness and recognition that the American people entrusted President-elect Trump with the responsibility to appoint those whom he desires to have working alongside him. 

CALL TO ACTION: Please send this pre-written, editable message to your Senators, encouraging them to work with the President-elect and ensure the safety of all nominees. Invite others to as well.” So I’m inviting you to take this action.

You can also call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at 1-202-224-3121 and ask for your Senators or Representatives office. Currently, Mitch McConnell, John Thune, Susan Collings, Lisa Murkowski, Lindsey Graham, and Joni Ernst have not committed to vote for Pete Hegseth. He can only lose 3 Senators expecting the Dems will stay in lockstep and vote against him, even though the Biden Administration didn’t experience this pushback from the same Republicans when a man who pretends to be a woman was approved as the United States Assistant Secretary for Health. A person who lobbies for sexual mutilation of children?! Why didn’t these Senators vote against him/her? This wasn’t the only questionable Biden cabinet member.

The MFV Friday Five email also addressed the threat proposed by Rep. Wiley Nickel, D. NC, to create a “shadow cabinet” targeting the Executive Branch’s cabinet. Here’s a review of the suggestions of this maneuver, a plan whose priority is to work antagonistically against the incoming cabinet. Details here that will shock you!

As I said earlier, the fight is just beginning. Voting was the first step, but we need to stay continually and critically involved if we’re going to see the changes we voted for enacted. The left knows no boundaries. They’re definitely trying to defy the will of the people who voted them out of the White House and the reprobate media still thinks they’re relevant.

Sadly, not everyone realizes they’re being manipulated, conned, and gas lighted by mainstream media. If you listened to the details above about the Dem’s Shadow Government proposal, they’re presenting a continuance of the very government policies the American people voted against. They’re not listening to us. They still don’t get it. Don’t think they’ve given up.

We’ve experienced a taste of victory with the first election skirmish, but now the real battle begins in our prayer closets and in the public square supporting our new President, his cabinet, and their families. I hope you’re suited up in the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10:18) and ready as onward Christian soldiers.

Vote To Let Freedom Ring and Remain!

Engaging in discussion regarding the people and platforms involved in the 2024 election can be frustrating and even divisive. This blog will post the day before we find out which side will govern our country for the next four years or maybe longer. It might take days in our current election chaos to know the outcome of the election. That says so much about the deterioration that has occurred at every level of government.

What’s distressed me most this election season is discussions with fellow believers who have opposing worldviews. We read the same Bible and pray to the same God, so how can this be? I think the answer is the powerful influence the mainstream media, which has literally become a propaganda arm of the Democrat/liberal/progressive party, has effectively had on the minds and hearts of people who to me seem brainwashed and blinded by Satan’s lies. Yet, they’ll tell me I’m brainwashed as they defend the evil the Democrat party wants to inflict on us. It amazes me that they can’t see the moral, spiritual, and economical destruction that’s occurred in our country and our culture over the past four years. How could they call this good?

I’ve also seen Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) at its worst exemplifying the power of propaganda and lies to influence intelligent godly people to hate and detest someone so much they would vote against Trump knowing the other side has an evil, demonic, anti-God agenda. They hate Trump more than they love America. Even Trump commented recently when asked why he thought so many people have such strong views against him, even to trying to assassinate him. His response is that only consequential candidates produce that kind of reaction in people. Many in the deep dark Washington swamp don’t want him in power because they know he’ll reveal and remedy the evil that’s taking place there.

Speaker Johnson has warned that Republicans need to win the Senate and the Congress because if the Democrats win either one, they’ll immediately try to impeach President Trump. How crazy is that?!

What Does It Mean to Think Biblically Versus Culturally or Secularly?

The opposite of thinking biblically is thinking secularly. Christians should vote their faith and values, but when we see the polls of Christians voting for a candidate whose platform is anti-biblical, anti-life, anti-Christian, anti-God, and anti-capable, it’s evident that many Christians aren’t checking with God or their Bible before selecting a candidate’s platforms and policies to govern our land. That goes for down ballot too.

It’s blessed me to see many Christians during this election cycle who aren’t afraid to discuss politicized biblical issues like sanctity of life, marriage, sexuality, protecting children from pornography and gender mutilation, and God’s design for humanity. Social media is full of brave posts and conversations. Now many are speaking and posting biblical values publicly. Praise God!

I even heard one pastor say, “Don’t be afraid to talk about politics and religion at holiday or family gatherings.” For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Tim. 1:7 NLT

We need to speak God’s truth no matter the circumstances. It’s the fear of man rather than the fear of God that has sent many Christians underground and silenced them. This has congruently allowed a nefarious government to successfully enforce laws contrary to God’s laws. But God’s Word in Hebrews 13:6 NLT assures us, “So we can say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?’”

However, here’s what “mere people” will try to do when Christians don’t speak up and vote. Ohio voted to codify abortion into the state constitution and a judge recently ruled unconstitutional the state’s previous six-week abortion ban law, which had been the law in Ohio since 2019.  “Ohio voters have spoken,” Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Christian Jenkins wrote in the filing. “The Ohio Constitution now unequivocally protects the right to abortion.” I would add, nullifying rights and protection of the unborn.

Why weren’t there enough Christian Ohio voters to protect the unborn? Ohio, once considered a conservative red state, is now a “swing state.” Up for grabs politically and morally. How did the Christians in that state let this happen? How is it that after the Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional Roe v Wade and sent the decision back to the states, that we now have more abortions not fewer? More precious babies killed in the womb before they have the right to life?

Harris’ platform is to federally codify abortion in every state, which would strike down unborn baby protection laws like those we have in Idaho that bans all abortion. Christians need to vote against her and her radical platform.

Pro-life activists and leaders in Missouri are sounding the alarm about Amendment 3, the “Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative,” on the ballot that would not only result in unrestricted abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, but would also “go way beyond abortion” and enshrine transgender surgeries on children. Let’s pray Missouri Christians are sounding the alarm to vote it down.

How are some Christians okay with killing human babies? Surveys tell us they are?  45% of Christians and 6 in 10 Catholics say they’re in favor of abortion and are voting for an unbiblical political platform?!

The only answer has to be that some Christians aren’t praying and reading their Bible to help them think biblically. Their worldview is influenced by secular culture, not God’s Scriptures. They may go to Bible studies, attend church, and check the Christian box. But they’re not allowing the Bible to transform and renew their mind and heart, thus their thinking and actions. How can I say this? Because God would NEVER condone killing human babies that He creates in His own image.

Randall Terry of Operation Rescue, along with several pastors, created TV commercials to depict the horrors of abortion and he’s paying to run them during prime time. Here’s the link to one that ran on The View, but warning, it’s graphic.

Tools For Thinking Biblically

Our Couples Bible Study group is viewing and discussing a My Faith Votes free online video series “Think Biblically” led by faith experts to help Christians stand firm on God’s Holy unchanging Word and think biblically about culture and politics. The video series is designed for churches, small groups, families, friends, couples, or on your own. The focus is to help Christians firmly align their beliefs with God’s Word and gain an understanding of how their views of culture align with a biblical worldview.

A quote from Think Biblically website: “In today’s polarizing world, many struggle to anchor their views on the truth of God’s Word. Now, more than ever, Christians need to evaluate our nation’s issues through a biblical lens and stand with an unshakeable faith.”

Another free resource, even after the election, is from Cissie Graham Lynch, granddaughter of Billy Graham and daughter of Franklin Graham. Fearless Family: Eight-Day Election Prayer Guide to take a biblical look at the issues affecting the heart of our families. Cissie writes, “Today, we are surrounded by a culture, both inside the church and out, that continues to compromise on truth and morality. It feels as if the only sin in America today is to call something sinful! Marriage, gender, sexuality, equality, and justice are simple words that have been twisted and redefined in ways God never intended. People are choosing to be ruled by their feelings rather than truth. My grandfather once said, ‘The secret strength of a nation is found in the faith that abides in the hearts and homes of the country.’ We must have a strong faith if we want to have a strong nation!”

What Does It Mean to Think Biblically?

  • We’re guided by God’s Word and His truths alone, not the latest cultural or political trend or talking points.
  • We will not bend to political or social pressure.
  • We will not break our vows, promises, and adherence to God and His laws.
  • We will stand for our faith and biblical values, even when they’re unpopular, especially when they’re unpopular.
  • We won’t be intimidated or coerced into denying the Gospel. We will be proud of our faith never apologetic for our Christian beliefs.
  • We will fill our minds with Scripture not propaganda.
  • Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
  • Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Col 3:2
  • Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Pr. 4:23
  • For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Heb. 4:12
  • All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim. 3:16-17

Please Pray and Vote on November 5th If You Haven’t Already!

Also join in a prayer group on Monday Nov. 4th as they take place online, in person, or in your own homes and churches. Pray for God’s will to take place at the voting polls. Election interference subverted. Truth and justice prevail.

My hope for after the election is “Revive in 2025.” I pray God is preparing us for a mighty revival and just as we became brave and bold speaking against the evil that one side is trying to legitimatize, we would continue supporting biblical values and God’s good and gracious plans for the America we’re so blessed to call home. No victory is ever won easily. It takes diligence, persistence, focus, and God’s wisdom and discernment.

This will be my last blog for the month of November. I want to thank you for letting me share what God puts on my heart each week. I pray no matter who wins this election, you’ll continue serving God wherever and however He calls you!

What Does It Mean to Vote Biblically?

The 2024 election is quickly approaching on November 5th. Some of you may have already started early voting and good for you! For those who are still considering who to vote for and how to vote on your state bills, I wrote this blog for you.

I’m in leadership as an Idaho Area Coordinator for My Faith Votes. On our website, we offer a Pledge to Vote Your Biblical Values. I encourage you to take that pledge to vote in every election, be an informed and prayerful voter, and pledge, “As a Christian, I commit to voting for candidates and policies that uphold the sanctity of life, the traditional family, religious liberty, and justice for all. I believe that my biblical values should guide my choices at the ballot box, ensuring that our nation’s laws and leaders reflect God’s truth and righteousness.”

When we encourage everyone to vote their “biblical values,” that can mean different things to different people. It shouldn’t because according to Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ and the Word of God is timeless and universal. Unchanging. The Bible clearly states what we should champion and support or reject with our vote. By definition, our biblical values are based solely on Scripture and should reflect our biblical worldview.

 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Tim. 3:16-17 NLT

We typically rely on instruction manuals, Google, or YouTube for how to use appliances, automobiles, take medication, operate machinery or technology, find destinations . . . the list is endless. Guidance is essential to assure we’re functioning correctly for our own good and not harm.

For the Christian, our Life Instruction Manuel is the Bible. Like every owner’s manual, the Bible must be read to be useful. It contains everything believers need to know to follow Christ, glorify God, and live fruitful and righteous lives in a culture that tries to tell you that your faith can be set aside when you do something as important as voting.

What does God say about platform and policy issues that candidates champion to govern our lives, the lives of our friends and families, our communities, our churches, and the future?  Are their platforms biblical or unbiblical? It doesn’t matter what our personal opinion is of them, it matters whether or not they will govern biblically.

Dr. Jeff Myers, president of Summit Ministries, wisely advises, “We can figure out which candidate is most likely to lessen evil when it comes to diminishing life, when it comes to diminishing liberty, when it comes to diminishing the value of property. We’re not seeking a perfect world. We’re not utopians. But we are trying to figure out how to lessen evil so that people can be more free.”

We vote as our civic duty as an American, but also as our biblical responsibility as a Christian. However, research from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University shows as many as 104 million people of faith, including 32 million self-identified Christians who regularly attend church, are unlikely to vote in the upcoming 2024 presidential election mainly due to lack of interest. How could this be biblical when Christians could be the deciding factor in matters of life and death, good and evil? How can they stay home?

While the survey revealed some Christians don’t vote from complacency, it also showed many want instruction and guidance from their church on how to think about the issues from a biblical perspective. 

“Pastors often seek opportunities to have a positive influence in people’s lives and upon the culture, and to help the community in which their church is located,” the long-time researcher George Barna explained. “This research underscores the fact that simply encouraging people to vote in order to fulfill their biblical responsibility would not only be seen as doing their job while helping the community, but an estimated five million regular churchgoers would be likely to vote as a result of that simple exhortation. That, in itself, could change the outcome of the election by simply doing their job and getting congregants to fulfill one of their chief duties as an American citizen.”

When 45% of Christians and 6 in 10 Catholics say they’re in favor of abortion or are voting for an unbiblical political platform, it’s evident to me that pastors aren’t teaching biblical values and many Christians have not read their Bible. Culture, not the Bible, is shaping Christian opinion rather than God’s truths.

I’m not a pastor, but I am a seminary graduate and have been in ministry for thirty years. In this blog I’m providing Scriptures and resources for voting biblically in this election and every election. My blog would be far too long if I included all the issues, but you can hit on the highlighted links below to see the differences between the Democrat and Republican platforms according to Scripture to determine which federal, state, and local candidates will govern with more good than evil as measured by the Bible.

Did God Really Say?

Satan has used his most effective tool against living righteously since the Garden of Eden when he asked Eve, “Did God really say?” I’m here to tell you that God really did have something to say about many of the spiritual moral issues in our culture which we the church have let become politicized and are on the ballot on November 5th. I’m not talking candidate’s personalities. I’m talking about policies, which will become the law of the land if elected.

Do your own research. Read your Bible. Don’t let the biased media or even the candidates themselves influence your vote. Look at their policies and plans and your local ballot bills, then look at what the Bible has to say about each issue. That’s what should influence your prayerful vote as a Christian. Let’s look at a few of them.

ABORTION vs RIGHT TO LIFE is on the ballot in many states, and it’s also a Presidential issue because Harris has vowed that on day one, she’ll try to codify Roe v Wade into federal law. She and Democrat politicians tout the distorted lie that abortion is “reproductive rights” and “women’s healthcare.” That’s called twisting language that we see described in 2 Peter 3:16b-17.

Trump was the most pro-life President in history. He appointed three constitutional Supreme Court Judges who helped move the abortion laws from the federal government to the states. Sadly, because of the wide use of the abortion pill and “sanctuary abortion states” denying the sanctity of life and sacrificing babies to Molek, abortions have increased.

Harris has used Satan’s “Did God really say?” tactic to argue repeatedly that “you don’t need to abandon the principles of your faith or deeply held beliefs to support ‘abortion rights.'” She’s suggesting you can “choose” to kill babies guilt-free because it’s a woman’s right?! It’s Ok with God. Wrong!! That’s a nonsensical, unbiblical, demonic, and heretical lie. Harris denies that the government should protect a baby’s right to life even though the first “right” listed in our nation’s Declaration of Independence is the right to life, firmly rooted in the Judeo-Christian standards of morality upon which the United States of America was founded. Murder is a crime.

The truth is a Christian absolutely must suspend their faith in God and biblical principles to support legally or illegally killing babies. Kamala Harris has zero authority, faith, or knowledge of the Bible to speak on this matter and no person of faith should be persuaded by her. Yet she’s deviously planting doubt in many people’s minds, including pastors and Christians. It’s called syncretism!

She clearly told pro-life advocates they were “at the wrong rally.” These two young men bravely told her, “Abortion is a sacrament of Satan. Christ is King! Jesus is Lord!” They went there to represent God and counter her abominations with truth, but any Christians cheering and voting for a candidate stumping for the “freedom” and “right” to kill babies, are the ones at the wrong rally.

What Does the Bible Say About Abortion vs Right to Life?

When God creates each child through conception, there’s a flash of light and life begins. God gives him or her a spirit and soul that can’t be destroyed or denied. That’s a spiritual not political fact. Biologically, no person has ever been born without a spirit and soul.

Unborn babies are human. Humans are sacred! God declares in His Word the sanctity of life that He created in His image.

  • “You must not murder.” Ex 20:13
  • For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:13-16
  • [Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.  Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. Ps. 127:3-5

  • Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, ensure justice for those being crushed. Pr. 31:8
  • There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood. Pr. 6:16-17

You absolutely would have to abandon and deny your faith and God’s Word to be a Christian who supports or votes for abortion or any candidate promoting abortion! It’s a sin. Satan wants to kill, steal, and destroy everything God loves. It’s an abomination to God to shed innocent blood. If you’re still not convinced, please watch Baby Olivia.

If you know someone who has had an abortion, or maybe you have, God sees you and you can repent and ask for His forgiveness. He’s waiting with open arms of grace and mercy. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

This atrocity is happening at the nation’s largest children’s hospitals designed to treat and save children’s lives, not maim them for life at an age many are too young to fully appreciate or comprehend the damage being done to their bodies. Who could’ve ever imagined this travesty would happen in America, but the Biden /Harris administration has championed this by protecting the doctors and hospitals rather than putting a stop to the madness and Harris would not stop it either.

The Biden/Harris administration tried to change Title IX to include gender and allow boys to play in girls’ sports and be in girls’ locker rooms and bathrooms. Harris will not support girls. President Trump says he will ban ‘trans’ aka men in girls’ sports.

What Does the Bible Say About Religious Liberty?

Gender isn’t fluid, it’s God-given. To affirm radical gender ideology is to implicitly deny the workmanship and sovereignty of God. It’s to deny God and His Word. Government is ordained of God (Romans 13:1-7), but government cannot become God.

Take Time to Rest From Labor and Work!

When the elders from church came over last week to pray over my husband Dave, who is also an elder, I was touched that one of them said he was sensing God was telling Dave to rest. Rest is all he’s been able to do for the last six-weeks since severe spinal stenosis, disc bulges, and a cyst on his spine have weakened his legs. The little walking he does with a walker causes pain but sitting and lying relieve the pain somewhat, so he’s definitely been resting. I can’t say the same for myself since I’m the caregiver, but rest is something that’s never come easy for me unless I’m sleeping!

So here we are today celebrating a day that is supposed to be a day of relaxing from work to rest and enjoy. At church a girlfriend mentioned that she wore her white pants because it was almost Labor Day and “You can’t wear white after Labor Day.” I looked at her questioningly since being a native Californian, we wore white pretty much all year, but now that we’re Idahoans, we move from summer pretty quickly into Fall with warmer clothes and packing away our shorts and sandals. I have to admit I hate seeing summer come to an end, but this year the fires and smoke have been so bad in our community, we’re all praying for rain and cooler temperatures.

I’ve always looked at Memorial Day and Labor Day as the bookends of summer. Both are now three-day weekend holidays that also commemorate the end of one school year and the beginning of the next—although today’s schools don’t stick as closely to that schedule anymore.

You have planned Labor Day picnics, family reunions, and barbeques commemorating the official end of summer; but beyond that, few stop to think about why we even have the day off. What is Labor Day anyway?

History of Labor Day

In 1894, Grover Cleveland made Labor Day a federal holiday after a failed attempt to break up a railroad strike. Observed on the first Monday in September, Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. That’s you and me, even those who are retired, have spent a good portion of their life working.

Traditionally, all stores closed on Labor Day so all workers could celebrate the holiday. Today, most stores are having Labor Day sales, and their workforce is hard at work on a day that was supposed to be about resting from work. Many people work on Labor Day without realizing, Hey, I’m a worker that has contributed to my company and I should have a day of rest!

Work and Rest

The article, Labor Day: Your Need for Both Work and Rest by Nick Batzig, recently caught my attention. It opened with this sentence, “As we come to celebrate another Labor Day, it may be beneficial for us to step back for a moment and consider what Scripture has to say about the rhythm of work and rest—i.e. the cyclical configuration by which all the events of our lives occur.”

The article discussed God’s original plan for work and how that all changed when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and why God wants us to have times of rest and refreshment. Batzig listed several changes over the years that have us focusing on work not just as provision for our family, but for prestige, self-esteem, peer pressure, fear, anxiety, and lack of purpose outside of work. The following point really resonated with what I see happening in families today:

“Whereas traditional societies said that you got your meaning in life through your family, and through basically fulfilling a fairly prescribed social role—either as a mother or father, or a brother or sister, or husband or wife, or a son or a daughter…You just needed to find a way to make a living because family was what everything was about. But we’re the first culture in history that says, ‘You define yourself by defining what you want to be and by attaining it—and then you have significance.’ There’s never been more psychological and social and emotional pressure on work to be either fulfilling or at least lucrative. There’s never been a culture like that.”

How Can We Change Culture?

I’ll admit that I’m a recovering workaholic. The only way I’m able to balance work and rest is to prioritize the things that are the most important to me—serving God and my family. My ministry is About His Work Ministries, so I’m fortunate to be able to serve God through my work of writing and speaking, but I also need to take breaks. I schedule times of rest and relaxation with my hubby, and I actually find walking or even going to the gym rejuvenating.

Dave and I also serve in ministry together by leading a couples Bible study in our home which is enjoyable to both of us. When I’m spending time with my family or friends, I set aside “work” and focus on them.

That doesn’t leave much time in my schedule for “extra” activities, and so I’ve had to learn to say no to some good things. Before I say “yes, and find myself with no time to rest and refresh, I’m trying to remember to do two things:

1. Pray and ask God if it’s something He wants me to do.

2. Assess if I have the time and energy to add this activity to my calendar.

If I sense God telling me to go for it, I know I must remove something from my calendar, or I’ll become unbalanced trying to get all the work done and rest and family will suffer.

6 Ways to Respond to Vileness, Vitriol, and Violence

Last week, I wrote about a local business owner, Mark Fitzpatrick, who decided to counter “gay pride” month with “Heterosexual Awesomeness Month” at his establishment, The Old State Saloon (OSS) in Eagle, Idaho. Here’s the link to that blog if you haven’t read it yet. I did preface there that while we don’t drink, many restaurants we eat at do have a bar, we just don’t imbibe. Old Sate Saloon is no different, so they have our full support. Mark is a vocal Christian and I’ve since learned there’s a Bible Study on Sunday mornings at OSS for people who might never set foot in a church. Their Facebook post today, Saturday, as I’m writing this week’s blog read: “Don’t forget! Bible study Sunday morning at 10 am. This week we have a special guest teacher, David McClellan, who will be covering Ephesians 3.”

Their regular Sunday morning Bible study teacher wrote on OSS’s Facebook page: “Some people raise their eyebrows when they learn I teach a Bible study each Sunday morning in a Saloon. If you’re in the Treasure Valley, it’s 50 E State Street in Eagle. Start time is 10 am … we wrap up no later than 11. Everyone 21+ is welcome.” With that, he posted the opening meme in this article.

Mark Fitzpatrick’s fun, yet bold and firm, stand for heterosexuality and his Christian faith has gone viral across the nation, but predictably it’s also brought out vileness and vitriol on the Old State Saloon’s social media pages. So far, praise God, I haven’t heard of any violence, which we’ve prayed against for him all month. Mark said in the beginning that he was surprised at the vile vitriol in social media comments on their Facebook page and they would be removing any offensive comments using slander, foul language, or profanity.

I posted my last week’s blog, God Created Us Heterosexual and Idaho Celebrates That As Awesome, on OSS’s Facebook page, and as you might expect, the hate and vitriol flowed along with self-righteous comments. I’m sure many were also trolls with nothing better to do than write nasty, profane, and often heinous verbal attacks. I’ve learned to never engage with these sick people and just ignore them as they pour out their vitriol against my ministry, Christianity, and me.

I actually feel sorry for each one as I read their hateful ignorant slander with blasphemous memes against Jesus and Christians. Tragic that they’re living a lie and resort to vicious vileness that I doubt they’d be willing to say to Mark or my face. I doubt some of them even read my blog because no one left a comment on my website post. They were looking for a bigger audience on OSS’s Facebook page, which has attracted hundreds of comments since the publicizing of Heterosexual Awesomeness Month special events.

As I’ve been writing and speaking in the public forum for years, I’m not naive that people exist who troll on their phone or computers looking for an opportunity to spew vile words, while calling you hateful names and slinging accusations. They’re lost, deceived, maybe lonely, and either have never heard the Gospel or have rejected it. They need prayer, but not indulgence. They want you to respond so they can keep going, but when you ignore them, they don’t know if you’ve even read what they wrote. That surely frustrates them. What a sorry way to live!

Satan’s Offensive Playbook is Vileness, Vitriol, and Violence!

In the wake of the horrific Hamas attack on Israel, we’re watching violence on college campuses. Brainwashed kids protesting in favor of terrorists and creating mayhem are being allowed to setup encampments on the campuses, until they inevitably start destroying and defacing property. Sometimes they’re not even arrested or held accountable. It’s as if the college administrators are afraid of the students or think if they indulge them, they’ll get tired and go away. These kids obviously were never taught how to peacefully, politely, and intelligently express their viewpoint. Often, they have no idea what or why they’re even protesting. But they do know how to express vileness, vitriol, and violence!

Vile language and behavior, profane vitriol, and destructive violence do not come from the Holy Spirit, Jesus, or God. That means the only other spirit in our world, a satanic evil spirit, is producing this behavior. Have you noticed on the news during clips of violent protests or gay parades and speeches, all you hear are bleep, bleep, bleep, because the media can’t let those vile profanities be heard on television. So, the protestors aren’t saying anything intelligent, just a series of bleeps

Public TV also can’t show the true vileness of the lewd acts being performed in the streets during gay parades, often in front of little children, so you’re only seeing sanitized short clips, which are bad enough. And what about parents who expose young children to these vile obscenities and actions instead of protecting them from profanity and sexual lewdness?! These parents are letting their children be mentally and visually influenced by obscenity and immorality. Normalizing it as acceptable. After all, if your parents think it’s okay, it must be okay.

The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a pleasure to have children who are wise. Pr. 23:24 NLT

Adults and children persuaded by satanic actions and rituals instead of godly purity and morals are opening themselves up to demonic behavior. I doubt the parents taking their children to gay parades or drag queen story hours are taking them to Sunday school. A power play of Satan versus God. We know who wins in the end, but how many souls will be lost along the way.

The Bible tells of people possessed or influenced by demons. From these examples, we can find some symptoms of demonic influence and gain insight as to how a demon possesses someone. Here are some of the biblical passages: Matthew 9:32-33; 12:22; 17:18; Mark 5:1-20; 7:26-30; Luke 4:33-36; Luke 22:3; Acts 16:16-18.

Demon possession is not always as dramatic as in biblical times, but it can cause the individual to say and perform evil acts. Judas being the main example. Or King Saul, after rebelling against the LORD, was troubled by an evil spirit (1 Samuel 16:14-15; 18:10-11; 19:9-10) with the apparent effect of a depressed mood and an increased desire to kill David. There’s a wide variety of possible symptoms of demon possession, such as a physical impairment that can’t be attributed to an actual physiological problem, a personality change such as depression or aggression, supernatural strength, immodesty, antisocial behavior, violent anger, spewing obscenities, lewdness, and sexual depravity.

In Judas’ case, he opened his heart to evil by his greed (John 12:6).  Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve (Luke 22:3). So, it’s possible that if one allows his heart to be ruled by some habitual sin, it becomes an invitation for a demon to enter, which always leads to ungodly behavior and a mindset against God as the apostle Paul told us in the following verses.

21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. . . 24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. 30 They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. . .  Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too. Romans 1:21, 24-29, 32 NLT.

So How Should Christians Respond?

If you’re encountering vileness, vitriol, or threats of violence on social media or in person, here’s how I try to handle it. Maybe it will help you too.

  • Don’t try to one up, reason with, or engage them.

Attempting to change their mind is unlikely to succeed, but it will usually intensify the debate and consume considerable time and energy. Even though you’re sure you have the perfect response, in my experience, I’ve never seen anyone concede or surrender their opinion or verbal attack. Typically, they become more hostile while their vile vitriol escalates.

  • Ignore them.

I know that’s hard to do because you want to help them see the truth, but they’re just looking for an argument and you’ll only become more frustrated and irritated yourself.

  • Delete their comments and consider blocking them.

You’re not obligated to leave their vitriol on your social media and blocking them will prevent them from returning. You can also report them to the social media administrator. A troll is just looking for an argument and you have better things to do with your time.

  • In person, change the subject.

Offer your point of view if you want, but if the conversation is deteriorating, tell them to have a blessed day and move on. Don’t ever let Satan cause you to match their vileness, vitriol, or violent behavior.

  • Pray for them.

Hard as it is, Jesus tells us to love and pray for our enemies (Matt. 5:44-45). Maybe, just maybe, their eyes will open and the blinders fall off because they’re headed for a mental, emotional, and spiritual crash, if not already there. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Eph. 6:18

  • Our offensive playbook is the Word of God, the Holy Bible.

Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Eph. 6:17

The apostle Paul also advised, Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. Rom. 12:18 NLT

God Created Us Heterosexual and Idaho Celebrates That as Awesome!

I LOVE summer! Now that we live in Idaho with its beautiful four seasons, I only have a few short months to enjoy the sunshine, warm weather, and growing our vegetable and fruit garden. So, I’m ready for shorts and flip-flops as soon as the kids are out of school and the calendar turns over to June. But there’s been a storm cloud brewing over the beginning of summer ever since 2000 when President Bill Clinton officially designated June as “Gay and Lesbian Pride Month” to recognize and celebrate as normal an activist hedonistic alternate lifestyle ideology.

Now, I dread the June gay/trans marketing in some stores and news clips of lewd parades in the streets, which would’ve violated the indecent-exposure laws in the past. This trans activism isn’t limited solely to the month of June, as they attempt to invade every area of the culture year-round, specifically and tragically targeting the youngest of children as “converts.”

Last week, I wrote about the Revenge of the Normies. Many agreed with me that we want a return to the days where certain basic morals were accepted as normal starting with the distinction between a man and a woman determined at birth. No amount of transing, drugs, or surgery is ever going to change that biological and biblical fact. One person told me they thought I was being one-sided in that blog. I absolutely was taking a side and standing firm on it!

The Bible does not compromise with evil. Good does not negotiate with bad. God does not acquiesce to Satan. Truth does not defer to lies. Right does not agree with wrong. I’m not trying to please everyone, only my Abba Father, and that means many will not agree with me. Sadly, even in the church.

I know many of you who aren’t bowing to culture have been shouted down and shamed into silence, while holding your nose and closing your eyes to get through June without watching naked men and women gyrating in the streets or being confronted with distasteful displays of clothes and marketing in stores like Target, and now even Walmart. We pray the month will soon end; but now it never ends. So, we’re pushing back.

The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves. Is. 3:9

It Only Takes One Brave Committed Person to Make a Difference!

Idaho made national news big time at the beginning of June when the Christian owner of Old State Saloon and Restaurant in Eagle, Idaho, Mark Fitzpatrick, decided to rename June as “Heterosexual Awesomeness Month.” I’ve heard him interviewed on Rob Schmitt’s NEWSMAX show and FOX News posted an article with a video interview revealing the tremendous response to Fitzpatrick’s campaign. In every interview, he talks about his faith and God.

On his Zillow page, Fitzpatrick described himself as a “Christian, conservative, Constitution supporter, retired police officer, and family man.”

“I [Fitzpatrick] was thinking of a way that we could celebrate the other side of sexuality, heterosexuality, the way God designed it. And that’s kind of where I’m at with people that support us and are like-minded. So we decided to do Heterosexual Awesomeness Month and then launched it and boy, oh boy, did it take off,” Fitzpatrick told Fox News Digital.

Fitzpatrick remarked that the idea was “honestly pretty last minute” as a simple pushback against the nationwide promotion for LGBTQ Pride Month. “I’m Christian. I follow what the Bible says. I love people. I love all types of people and everything. But when you love people, it doesn’t mean that you have to necessarily get behind everything they decide to do. And especially with the way things have been going the last few years, as far as how extreme it gets in June.”

“I think, from what I’m experiencing with people’s response, is that the country is ready to kind of stand up and say, ‘Hey, what about this? And this is a good thing to celebrate, and let’s do that,’” he continued. Fitzpatrick shared how he thinks companies don’t want to weigh in on the issue and open themselves up to potential controversy and blowback. He said he’s at a point personally in his life where he’s “done being quiet about things.” 

I’m right there with Mr. Fitzpatrick and his decision to devote this month to going back to celebrating normal sexuality as designed by God.

“I want the truth,” he said. “I know there’s a lot of deception out there in the world. I want the truth to come out on a lot of things, and I just want to glorify God in everything that I do.”

He’s been so successful with people hungry not just for food, but for a place where they can express the truth about how God created us as men and women to be sexually attracted to each other and yes procreate, that they’ve been running out of food each day and another business donated pizzas for his patrons to eat.

At the beginning of June, Fitzpatrick posted on Facebook: “June will be OSS’s inaugural Heterosexual Awesomeness Month! Come join us all month to celebrate heterosexuals, for without them, none of us would be here!”

Each Monday is Hetero Male Monday with a special for any heterosexual male dressed like a heterosexual male. Wednesdays are Heterosexual Couples Day, and each heterosexual couple will receive 15% off their bill. On Her Thursdays, Happy Hour prices are all day for Hetero Ladies!

Fitzpatrick acknowledges receiving “crass” and “rude” messages online and phone calls, but for the most part, the public reaction has been “overwhelmingly positive.” Another OSS Facebook post read: “It seems as though people who are against Heterosexual Awesomeness Month have a hard time commenting without using horrific words, expletives, using the name of the Lord in vain, etc. Make an intelligent comment and stay. Cuss and you are banned. Thanks. We’ve banned about 25 already.”

“We hear lots of people are upset about Heterosexual Awesomeness Month! Please know:  1) We love our LGBTQ+ patrons! 2) We will not be changing our mind and give into the group of those who are responding with vitriol. 3) ALL are welcome to come celebrate heterosexuality with us in June!”

Fitzpatrick responded to a hit piece against him by the Idaho Statesman. “Because most Idahoans will see this dog whistle for what it is . . . And for the record, I love all types of people, including the LGBTQ+ crowd. I sincerely wish they all knew Jesus as their Savior. Now, let’s commence Heterosexual Awesomeness Month!”

Since news of Fitzpatrick’s celebration of Heterosexual Awesomeness Month has gone viral, I love what Matt Walsh wrote on his Facebook post about it:

“The Old State Saloon in Eagle, Idaho is celebrating ‘Heterosexual Awesomeness Month’ by offering special deals in honor of their straight male [female and couples] patrons. Predictably, many are outraged. But if the left says that they’re going to have a month-long celebration of gay pride, then I think it’s perfectly appropriate to respond with a celebration of heterosexuality. Sure, it’s reactive, but it makes a lot of sense to respond to Pride Month with a celebration of straight ‘awesomeness.’ I would consider it a necessary and healthy reaction. It also puts the left in a position where they are forced to make arguments against it. But there are no intellectually consistent arguments as to why pride can only apply to one group and not others.”

Walsh concluded: “So why not celebrate straightness? Heterosexuality is awesome. It’s the thing that keeps civilization going. Heterosexuals are single-handedly responsible for the continuation of the human species. Without us, there would be a full mass extinction event. That seems like a pretty good reason to celebrate.”

My husband and I don’t drink, but we’ll stop by when we’re in town for lunch and to give Fitzpatrick a high five and pray with him. I’ll definitely buy a “Hetero Awesomeness” T-shirt if he has any left.

For the Sake of the Girls, Stop the Craziness!

We attended our granddaughter’s volleyball tournament this past weekend and as I cheered her on, I was thanking God she wasn’t having to compete against boys in a girls’ volleyball league. She’s a petite high school sophomore and a star player on her team. I tried to envision the nightmare of what it would be like if there was a 6 ft. tall muscular man on the opposing team as one girls’ high school basketball team experienced and refused to play against biological male players saying, “It’s Not Right!”

When a Vermont Christian school withdrew its girls’ basketball team from a playoff game because of a transgender player on the other team, the team was banned from state athletics!

Not fair! Not Right!

A Massachusetts high school girls’ basketball team forfeited a game after a 6 ft. transgender male player on the opposing team injured three of their players. The Coach did the right thing and pulled the team. Here’s a video discussion.

Five West Virginia girl middle schoolers protested a “transgender” male participating in their track and field competition by stepping into the shot-put circle for their turn before refusing to throw in the event, which was won by the male taking puberty-blockers and estrogen hormone therapy. The school’s answer was to bar the brave bold girls from future meets, even though West Virginia law bans transgender “girls” from playing on girls’ sports teams, a recent federal appeals court ruled that the law couldn’t lawfully be applied to this particular eighth-grade boy!?

Not fair! Not Right!

Fortunately, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey filed a lawsuit against the Harrison County Board of Education on the dissenting girl students’ behalf. 

Kudos to all these young girl athletes bravely standing up against this evil and saying we’re not going to take this anymore! Sadly, this is what it’s going to take, along with the support and encouragement of parents and grandparents with our voices and our votes!

In what world does a man failing in men’s sports decide he’s going to wake up one morning and “identify” as Jenny instead of Jerry so he can excel against biological women because of his muscle mass, bone density, and testosterone levels, which afford him advantages in physical strength and endurance? And in what world do the governing authorities agree with this insanity?

Well, that would be in Biden’s crazy world! He will do anything no matter how evil or wrong to try to get votes and maintain power to continue this insanity. The Biden Administration has rescinded over 50 years of progress and equality of opportunity for women by radically redefining biological sex as “gender identity” in Title IX.

During the Trump administration, the phrase “gender identity” was banned from insertion into Title IX. Biden’s unconstitutional immoral actions are a step backwards for women’s rights, jeopardizes student safety and privacy, and destroys fairness in women’s sports. It essentially de-titles Title IX in its meaning and purpose, which was to assure women of fair and equal opportunities in sports. Men playing in women’s sports isn’t an equal playing field and robs actual women of their place on teams!

Yes, I’m fired up about this, as every parent, grandparent, and person with a conscience should be! When a confused, mentally unbalanced, or opportunist child decides they don’t like the gender God gave them and wants to reconstruct their body and the adults in schools, medical and government communities, and even some parents condone this absurdity, it takes us back to the Garden of Eden where the serpent asked Eve, “Did God really say that?”

Yes, God really did say in Genesis 1:27 that men are men and women are women. ONLY Satan would try to confuse or question something so biologically and biblically obvious and then ensnare just enough people in authority to go along with it. Nowhere in the laws of nature does this occur.

Animals don’t try to change their sex or have sex with the same gender. Homosexuals do not exist in the natural animal kingdom.

Animals don’t intentionally kill their own offspring in the womb.

Only humans deceived by Satan try to defy God and His laws. God, who reveals Himself in nature and in His laws, the Holy Bible.

We Must Object Loudly to the Title IX Revision that Defies God’s Laws and Erases Women

Moms for Liberty have created a Toolbox for concerned citizens and parents to take action against this atrocity and power grab for votes from a fringe group, while I would hope alienating sane parents, grandparents, churches, legislatures, and school administrators no matter what side you take in the political arena. Boys are boys and girls are girls, and they should ONLY play in sports against their own biological sex.

Here is some information from the Moms for Liberty Title IX Fact Sheet that summarizes what is happening, if you don’t already know. The Biden Administration timeline on upending and comprehensively altering Title IX is as follows:

  • March 8, 2021: Biden issued an Executive Order on Guaranteeing an Educational Environment Free from Discrimination on the Basis of Sex, Including Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity.
  • June 23, 2022: New Title IX regulations were proposed. The Department of Education received a record number of public comments from parents, many who expressed concern about their children’s safety in schools, and what the amendments will mean for women’s sports.
  • April 19, 2024: The Biden Administration released new Unofficial Guidelines for Title IX, effective August 1, 2024.

With over 1,500 pages of regulations, the U.S. Department of Education has redefined the fundamental framework of Title IX without congressional authorization by expanding the definition of “sex” to include not just biological sex, but also “sex stereotypes, sex-related characteristics (including intersex traits), pregnancy or related conditions, sexual orientation, and gender identity.”

The new Title IX regulations are unconstitutional, erase women and girls, eliminate due process, compel speech, and strip parents of their fundamental right to direct the upbringing of their child including decisions regarding their education, medical care, morality, and religion. Title IX now requires:

  • that schools treat students who suffer, or claim to suffer, from gender dysphoria as though they were the opposite sex.
  • that a male student who identifies as a female must be allowed access to facilities designated for females such as bathrooms or locker rooms and to participate in women’s sports and organizations.
  • teachers and students must refer to a gender dysphoric child by her preferred pronouns and alternative name.
  • that no formal documentation be required to affirm gender identity. Additionally, if the administration has not provided a clear definition of gender identity, a male student could easily switch between identifying as male or female.

Other IX repercussions include:

  • that when a female student opposes having a male on a team or in an organization intended only for women, or who feels uncomfortable sharing a locker room with a male, the female in opposition may now not only incur social stigma, but also the possibility of legal repercussions for her school, team, or organization.
  • that while Title IX does not strictly require transitioning be kept secret from parents, in the event of a conflict between Title IX and the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), key words like “sex-based harassment” and “hostile environment sex-based harassment” overrides FERPA, thus opening the door to conceal the transitioning process.

Idaho and Other States Are Pushing Back!

During the 2024 State Legislative session, Idaho passed the following bills before they adjourned which could now be in jeopardy if this new Title IX is enforced. Idaho, and other red states with similar laws, cannot let this happen. Without congressional approval, this revised Title IX is set to go into effect August 1, 2024 as the new school year starts. The 10th Amendment should protect state laws like Idaho’s and the Federal Government shouldn’t threaten the states with removing federal funds from schools that don’t comply.

  • Idaho passed Bill 538, which stipulates schools cannot require staff or students to use preferred pronouns or names. Idaho became the seventh state in the country to protect teachers and other state employees who use biological accurate pronouns.
  • House Bill 421, “In human beings, there are two, and only two, sexes: male and female. In no case is an individual’s sex determined by stipulation or self-identification.” Most notably, in addition to ruling that sex and gender were synonymous, this bill “codifies in state law biological definitions for ‘woman,’ ‘man,’ and other sex-based terms, making [Idaho] the fifth to exclude men who identify as women from being legally recognized as female.”
  • The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on April 15 that Idaho may again enforce the protection of minors from life-altering transgender procedures written into State law last year. The ruling comes after Idaho’s Attorney General Raul Labrador filed an emergency request in February for the Supreme Court to block a lower court’s order halting the State’s implementation of the law. America First Legal uncovered communication from Richard Levine in the Biden Administration trying to use the Federal Government to evade the state bans that the Supreme Court upheld!
  • House Bill 668, blocks the use of public funds for “gender transition procedures.” 
  •  Senate Bill 1352 protects mental health professionals from being forced to provide unethical care that “affirms” harmful lifestyles. According to statewide public opinion polling commissioned by Idaho Family Policy Center, more than 56% of likely Idaho voters agree that counselors and other mental health providers should not face legal or professional consequences for providing talk therapy intended to help patients overcome unwanted same-sex attraction or gender confusion.

We must NOT back down from our moral state laws and more importantly God’s Laws!!!

As of this writing, at least twenty Republican-led states have filed lawsuits against the Biden administration for expanding the definition of sex in Title IX civil rights law to include “gender identity,” a move state leaders fear will force schools to deprive women of protections or risk losing their federal funding. Attorneys general in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana and Idaho filed two separate lawsuits against the U.S. Department of Education’s new Title IX regulations. Governor of Arkansas, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, has signed an executive order that Arkansas will not comply with Biden’s Title IX changes. Let’s pray more states join these lawsuits.

A Collision of Light and Darkness

The current news is rightly focusing on the horrific pro-Hamas, anti-Israel, anti-Jew protests occurring on college campuses. But as we watch students acting out their Marxist/Jihadist indoctrination, we can’t let the war against women get lost in the chaos.

We’re watching a collision of light and darkness. We cannot let darkness win. Demonic Islamic Jihadist/Pro-terrorist protests against the Jews and Israel are something we never expected to see in America, just like who would’ve ever imagined men would impersonate women to infiltrate women’s sports?!

In 2 Kings 6:17-20, Elisha prays for the Lord to open his servant’s eyes to see the hills full of horses and chariots of fire revealing God’s divine protection surrounding them against the enemy. We might not see God at work right now, but we know when we align with Him, He always wins for us. The problem is too many good Christians stay on the sidelines afraid to get involved and live out our faith for a living loving God.

Many have settled for safe faith, but we’re called to infuse light into our culture that’s shrouded in darkness. I heard the term “righteous rebellion” used to describe saving our families and our country. God is calling us to do the wild thing. Get involved. Take a stand. Whether it’s protecting the truth of biological sex to protect girls and women, protecting the Jews and Israel, saving the babies, getting out the vote . . . ask God where He wants to use you and then get involved.

For the sake of the girls, for the sake of God’s kingdom here on earth, be bold for what you believe. Live for Christ.
