Saving Women’s Rights and Sports!

I’m reading Charlie Kirk’s last book published posthumously, Stop in the Name of God. The first chapter is titled Genesis 1:1 with the opening Scripture, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” You might think that’s elementary since most Christians know this verse, or should, but Charlie devoted the opening of his book to reaffirming this fact. Sometimes, even Christians need to go back to the basics of the creation story, including how God in Genesis chapter 2 created a man and a woman as unique and separate individuals.
 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Gen. 2:7

But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[b] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[c] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. Gen. 2:20-22

Since the beginning of time, the physical distinctiveness of male and female has been an established biological, scientific, and biblical fact established at conception and revealed at birth until science invented ultrasound to determine sex in the womb during pregnancy and gender reveals became the rage.

When I was pregnant, the ultimate surprise was in the delivery room when the doctor announced to a panting exhausted new mother that she had just given birth to a boy or girl. That might seem archaic to some now, but other moms will remember with me how we waited with great anticipation to learn the sex of our new baby. While anticipating the birth of our baby, we decorated with neutral colors and enjoyed the birth gifts when friends and family learned whether we needed pink or blue baby clothes.

I’ll admit though that ultrasounds have been used to save many babies lives as the expectant mother sees her baby is a real little person developing in her tummy with fingers, toes, arms, legs, eyes, ears, a nose, and mouth. So even though God’s sex reveal at birth is outdated now, the redeeming value is more babies born. Praise God!

However, sci-fi wasn’t satisfied with knowing pre-birth sex, they started trying to play God by altering the foundations of humanity. First psychologically. Then ideologically. Ultimately physiologically. The medical community who take the Hippocratic Oath to preserve life decided they could dabble in genetics and try to distort and transform men into women and women into men, while originating a new term “trans.”

But no amount of chemicals, drugs, hormones, surgeries, or brainwashing will ever alter or transform a person’s DNA, chromosomes, muscle, body and bone structure that God created for every individual within their mother’s womb. The heretical, immoral, unethical, evil people in the scientific, psychological, and medical field making trillions of dollars with patients for life will never replace God, but God will judge them.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Ps. 139:13-14

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Matt. 18:6

Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness. Pr. 14:22

The vocal rainbow coalition activists combined with the abuse of modern medicine to create, deceive, and foster genetic confusion and bodily castration and mutilation with the fallacy that just wanting to identify as a different sex is achievable. It’s not! Unethical psychologists and physicians saw this as the cash cow that it is and political lobbyists for the homosexual community created a cult where schoolteachers were forced to use the language of a world gone mad.

The downfall into denouncing God and the Bible started with the legalization of same-sex marriage under the Obama Administration. It’s become diabolically degenerating since then with rampant pedophilia, child sex trafficking, men in women’s bathrooms, spas, dressing rooms, locker rooms, private areas, and sports. Even conjuring up terms like “furries” “trans” and “cis-woman.” The confirmation of Supreme Court justices like Ketanji Brown Jackson who can’t define a woman, even though she is a woman herself is insanity! Or recently, when Senator Josh Hawley asked OB-GYN Dr. Nisha Verma, a woman, for a simple yes or no if men could get pregnant, she wouldn’t answer! More insanity!

Coming off Obama’s disastrous years, coaches and school administrators fearing cancel-culture refused to protect girls and keep men out of women’s sports. Parents were often rebuffed if they complained, even when their daughters were forced to room with men on travels. The girls who were brave enough to protest were shamed, silenced, and told they had to acquiesce to men playing on women’s teams if they wanted to play sports. But one by one, especially after swimmer Riley Gaines lost her trophy to a man who she tied because the political optics were better for him to be in first place, girls started speaking out.

The liberal left and Democrats have made this a political issue and tried to cancel or fire anyone who wouldn’t go along with trying to eliminate God from His creation by allowing men to be publically recognized and treated as women. There’s no such thing as a “transgender woman or man.” God only creates men and women!

Currently a Democrat man is masquerading as a woman in Congress and in Idaho one is running for governor! Sadly, even some churches decided to become more culturally and “socially” correct than biblically correct, which would require eliminating most of the Bible starting with Genesis 1:1.

Saving Women’s Rights and Sports

Title IX was passed in 1972 to insure equal opportunities for women in sports. But over the last decade, men have invaded women’s sports as fake gender ideology has seared consciences and culture. Title IX was passed because men and women are different. The Biden Administration tried to alter Title IX’s definition of sex to include gender identity but it didn’t pass. Still most blue states deny women their Title IX rights.

Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 1 Tim. 4:2

Idaho and West Virginia established laws protecting women in sports in their states. The Supreme Court heard two cases last week involving men suing to play in women’s sports in these two states. Girls had their day in court!  

I’m proud to say that Idaho, where we’ve lived for almost fifteen years, was the first state to take legal action to protect our girls in sports in March 2020 by passing House Bill 500 “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act” implementing the nation’s first transgender policy barring trans female athletes from playing on women’s sports teams. West Virginia then passed a similar law. Alliance Defending Freedom’s (ADF) helped draft those bills, as did the Idaho Family Policy Center in Idaho.  

Male students “identifying as women” challenged the state’s laws and the ACLU represented them. Idaho and West Virginia appealed to the Supreme Court, which accepted both cases. SCOTUS usually doesn’t take on two similar cases, but because they each bring up different issues, one against the Constitution and one against Title IX, SCOTUS heard both in the same day.

Since President Trump signed an executive order specifically restricting federal funds to schools that allow males to compete on women’s teams under Title IX, 32 states have passed laws to protect women in sports. Despite the majority of states now banning men from women’s athletics, 18 states still allow males who claim transgender status to compete on women’s sports teams, posing a risk to the safety and fairness of female athletes.

SCOTUS Showdown: ACLU lawyer stumped by basic biology

During the Supreme Court hearing arguments on the Idaho and West VA cases, Justice Alito asked ACLU a simple question: “What is a man? What is a woman?”

Their answer? “We don’t have a definition.”

Yes, you read that correctly. This was the definition debate heard around the world.

If the so-called guardians of “civil rights” can’t even define sex, how can they claim to defend it? This is the collapse of common sense, live in the highest court of the land.

It was hard to hear some of the judges like Amy Coney Barrett using non-terms like “trans women” and “cis women” instead of men and women. I’m sure she would call herself a woman, not a cis woman! Men pretending to be women are not “trans” or “women.” They’re mentally disturbed men, have a fetish, or can’t excel in men’s sports so they want to eviscerate women. Whatever their reasons, it’s wrong and not normal, legal, moral, or biblical!

Testosterone levels do NOT determine, define, or erase biological sex, bone and muscle structure, strength, or DNA, which is what the opposing side was trying to argue to SCOTUS. Listening to the side who can’t define a man or a woman was pathetic. Women are more than hormone levels!

It was also disappointing to have so much time given to the “feelings” and “fairness” of men being excluded from women’s sports. Identifying as a woman does NOT make a man a woman. There should’ve been more discussion given to the feelings and fairness to women who lose scholarships, scholastic and career opportunities, trophies, medals, not to mention being exposed to lewd voyeur men who still have all their male parts in locker rooms, showers, and private areas. In what world is that fair or safe for women?!

Let me mention also that even though Governor of California Newsom has admitted in interviews with both Charlie Kirk and Ben Schapiro that men in women’s sports isn’t fair and he can see the other side, I’ve read his excuse for allowing men in women’s sports in his state is because he has a “trans godson.” Just because our child, grandchild, or godchild chooses an alternate lifestyle doesn’t make it okay to inflict it on others. Enabling a confused child instead of engaging mental help for them does more harm than good.   

In last week’s blog, Respect and Appreciate the Men and Women Who Keep Us Safe by Enforcing the Law, I introduced you to Janet Elaine Parks. I hope some of you started following her on social media. Here are some of her remarks last week about SCOTUS hearing the women’s rights cases.

Protecting Women’s Rights (Because Women’s Spaces Should Stay Female)

This is one that the left loves to weaponize… But conservatives are not “anti-anyone” for saying a basic truth:

Men are men. Women are women.

And women deserve:

  • private spaces
  • fair competition
  • basic safety protections

This administration supports keeping biological men out of women’s sports, bathrooms, locker rooms, and private spaces.

  • That isn’t hateful.
  • That’s reality.
  • And pretending biology doesn’t exist doesn’t make society “inclusive”…
  • It makes women pay the price.

Women fought for decades to earn:

✅fair sports opportunities

✅safe boundaries

✅sex-based protections

And now the left is trying to erase those protections by calling women “bigots” for wanting what we already had: A protected category called WOMEN.

Bodies Play Sports, Not Identities

In the opening picture of this blog, former champion gymnast Jennifer Sey, a seven-time member of the United States women’s national artistic gymnastics team and the 1986 U.S. All-Around National Champion founder of the XX-XY Athletics brand, is sounding the alarm arguing women’s sports are for women and warning that “identity affirmation” is replacing fairness and safety. I want to thank Idaho for defending women not just in our state, but going all the way to the Supreme Court to protect women in every state for our daughters and granddaughters in the future.

Pray SCOTUS stands by biological women’s rights, protection, dignity, and recognition that mentally challenged men cannot challenge women in sports or erase womanhood. Pray for wisdom and discernment as the justices deliberate. The cases before SCOTUS last week are not just about isolated incidents in two states. The justices’ decision will shape how our girls are able to do what they love—and feel safe doing so—for generations to come.

This is not a political issue. It’s a Genesis issue and comes down to the biblical definition of God creating us male and female. Together let’s stand fearlessly for what’s right. Let’s pray the Supreme Court determines that girls are girls and boys can’t become girls in Idaho, West Virginia, or any state in America!!!

If that sounds ridiculous to you, imagine how female athletes have felt in recent years, having to compete against males just because they’ve been told that feeling like a woman can make them so.”

Respect and Appreciate the Men and Women Who Keep Us Safe by Enforcing the Law

There’s so much on my heart and mind to write about that it’s been difficult to focus on one topic as I prayed about this week’s Monday Morning Blog. As my daughter Kim said, “Mom, it seems like every day there’s something new they’re protesting about.” She’s right. Events are coming at us so quickly that we can barely process before another one happens.

The federal government’s actions focused on making America safer and greater, instantly result in antagonistic anti-American protests by groups of people brainwashed, trained, and paid to not just protest but to interfere with and impede anything President Donald Trump sanctions, even when it will make their own lives better and safer. TDS is a mental and spiritual illness that is literally getting people killed!

First amendment civil protesters allow themselves to be arrested in order to emphasize just how important their cause is to them. Generally, with minimal or no harm to police and bystanders. Today’s protests, particularly in so-called sanctuary states where local government and law enforcement won’t work with federal ICE agents, aren’t rational, logical, peaceful, or civil! They’re often violent and dangerous. That’s how you know they’re fueled by Satan the father of chaos, lies, and confusion. Yes, hypocritical insane dangerous protests like the following are criminal and satanic:

  • Burning Tesla dealerships and keying Tesla cars that the Biden Administration and blue states like California were trying to force everyone to own. But when Tesla founder Elon Musk started finding graft and fraud in the swamp with DOGE, Democrats did an about-face and protested the very cars they had been promoting.
  • Protests on college campuses against Israel and Jews while endorsing sadistic Hamas terrorists.
  • Protesting the prevention of fentanyl coming into America that’s killing children and adults.
  • Protesting the capture of a brutal dictator like Maduro who the Biden administration had put a bounty on for his arrest.
  • Protesting making neighborhoods safer for themselves, their families, and neighbors. Impeding ICE from capturing criminals, monsters, violent gang members, terrorists, murderers, illegals, and child molesters who invaded our borders un-vetted under the Biden Administration and endanger every American.

The burning question: who is Satan using to finance these violent criminal protests with terrorist-like training and pay?

National Law Enforcement Appreciation

Did you know that Friday, January 9th was National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day? With all the news in Minnesota, tragically this day was severely neglected, and I didn’t see much appreciation. I barely saw anything about it on social media and heard nothing on the news. And yet, these men and women devote their very lives to saving and protecting our lives. National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was established in 2015 by multiple organizations to publicly express gratitude for officers across the United States. One of the leading organizations behind the initiative is C.O.P.S – Concerns of Police Survivors. According to the group, it’s essential that officers know their demanding career path is recognized and valued by the people they serve.

Many of you know that my father, Officer Robert E. Reed, was a California Highway Patrolman killed with his own gun in the line of duty by someone he had pulled over for going the wrong way on the freeway. My father gave his life to save others, which is a possibility all law enforcement officers encounter every time they put on the uniform and go out the door to protect their fellow citizens.

In the case of ICE and Border Patrol Officers, they’re protecting you, me, our loved ones, and even the protesters and their families from people the Biden Administration indiscriminately let into our country knowing that many countries like Venezuela were opening their jails and prisons and letting out the worst of the worst to freely cross into our country. How does anyone think Tren de Aragua and MS13 gang members and other criminals with rap sheets in their own country got into our country? Most of them didn’t hop on a plane and pay their way to get here, they illegally were let into our country to terrorize and even kill our citizens.

The last administration refused to follow the border laws because they wanted to unjustly infiltrate in a voting base since they couldn’t get patriotic American citizens to vote for them and their ungodly policies. That’s why the Democrats and mainstream media are fighting so hard against the commonsense justice of deporting and/or arresting illegals many of whom have continued their crime and fraud sprees against innocent American families.

Well, we’re about to find out who is funding this domestic terrorism as Vice President JD Vance announced in a Press Conference last week, a new position in the Justice Department, an assistant attorney general. Hopefully, in addition to investigating fraud across the nation, they’ll also unveil bad actors training and paying American citizens in anti-ICE training centers to harass law enforcement officers by throwing rocks, bricks and ice, even Subway sandwiches at them. Using personal cars to block or ram into ICE vehicles and even ICE agents. Yell, spit, and hit officers, blow whistles, make noise when their trying to rest, dox and threaten their families.

Anti-ICE training centers remind me of Hamas and Islamists suicide bomb trainings. The indoctrination of Americans participating in this domestic terrorism brainwashing can be lethal, like the woman in Minnesota who instead of following law enforcement orders to get out of her car, was told by her lesbian partner to “drive baby drive” to get away aiming straight for the ICE agent in front of her. The partner was filming it all like she was making a documentary maybe to post on social media or send to the training center to prove they’d earned their pay! That’s my speculation, but even the partner was crying that it was her fault because she made Renee Good come to harass the ICE agents all morning, along with their dog in the car.

If you had asked them why they were protesting to protect criminals, while they were becoming criminals themselves, what would’ve been their answer? Maybe something like “This was what we were trained to do.” “I don’t know.” “I hate Trump!” Or as one protester told Laura Ingraham who asked why she wasn’t at work, “I’m getting paid here.”

What’s God’s Opinion About Lawlessness?

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but too bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.” (Romans 13:1-4)

Traci Coston wrote on her Facebook page that lawlessness is the spirit of the antichrist and I agree. “Rules are not a terror to good conduct. When a government is acting in righteousness, and the people respect their authority, all will be well. I don’t panic when I pass a cop car if I’m going the speed limit. But we are seeing a generation of people whose hearts are far from God (the Minnesota woman was living a homosexual lifestyle), who are unable to tell right from wrong, rebel against authority because of their inability to perceive wickedness from righteousness. And this is just one, horribly sad, example of someone paying the price for that rebellion.” Traci Coston

TRUTH CHECK: ICE Is Not “Attacking Communities.” They Are Enforcing the Law.

Janet Elaine Parks, who I encourage you to follow on Facebook because she presents factual researched commentary on current events that are good for us to know and share when hearing lies, propaganda, gaslighting, or misinformation. The following is from Parks’ Facebook post:

The media narrative around ICE has become emotionally charged and deliberately misleading…

You’ve heard the claims:

• “ICE is terrorizing communities”

• “ICE is targeting families”

• “ICE is acting like a rogue force”

“This administration is anti-immigration!”

You have even seen the most dramatic scenes of ICE attempting to do their job taking down individuals and of course, these scenes are shown and often published without the full context. But when you strip away the rhetoric and look at what ICE actually does, the picture is very different…

Let’s deal with facts…

WHAT ICE ACTUALLY IS …

ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is a federal law-enforcement agency under the Department of Homeland Security…

Its mission includes:

• enforcing immigration law

• targeting criminal networks

• removing individuals who violate federal immigration statutes

• combating human trafficking, drug trafficking, and transnational crime

ICE does not write immigration law.

ICE does not decide immigration policy.

ICE enforces laws passed by Congress.

WHO ICE TARGETS (THIS MATTERS)

Contrary to media framing, ICE enforcement priorities historically focus on:

• individuals with final orders of removal

• repeat immigration violators

• individuals with criminal convictions

• gang members and transnational criminal affiliates

• those who ignore court hearings or violate release conditions

Even under administrations with broader enforcement, the majority of ICE removals involve people already flagged in the system.

“ICE IS TERRORIZING COMMUNITIES”: WHAT THE DATA SHOWS

ICE arrests occur through:

• targeted operations

• warrants or administrative removal orders

• known addresses tied to individuals already in violation of law

ICE does not conduct random street sweeps.

ICE does not arrest people based on race.

ICE does not enforce state or local laws.

Claims of “indiscriminate raids” are not supported by arrest data.

WHY COMMUNITIES FEEL “IMPACTED”

Here’s the uncomfortable truth the media avoids:

When immigration law is not enforced for years, enforcement later feels sudden …even when it’s lawful. The disruption isn’t caused by ICE. It’s caused by:

• years of non-enforcement

• mixed messaging from politicians

• false promises that laws wouldn’t be applied

• delayed court backlogs

Enforcing the law after ignoring it doesn’t create cruelty …it reveals policy failure.

MEDIA FRAMING VS LEGAL REALITY

The media often uses emotional language like:

• “ICE stormed neighborhoods”

• “ICE ripped families apart”

• “ICE targeted communities”

But enforcement of federal law is not an “attack.”

It is the function of a sovereign nation.

Every country enforces borders.

Every country enforces residency laws.

Every country removes people who violate entry conditions.

The United States is not unique in this it is normal.

COMPASSION AND LAW ARE NOT OPPOSITES

You can believe:

✔️people deserve dignity

✔️due process matters

✔️families should be treated humanely

AND still believe:

✔️laws must be enforced

✔️court orders matter

✔️borders are real

✔️enforcement isn’t optional

Those positions are not contradictory …they are foundational to any lawful society.

FINAL TRUTH

ICE didn’t create the immigration crisis.

ICE didn’t write the law.

ICE didn’t make political promises it couldn’t keep.

ICE is enforcing statutes passed by Congress statutes that still exist whether the media likes them or not.

Calling law enforcement “evil” for doing its job isn’t justice. It’s deflection.

Faith. Family. Freedom.

I, Janet Thompson, would add that calling law enforcement “evil” for doing their job is deception and demonic! As Christians, we need to pray for all law enforcement officers and their families and praise God that there are men and women who are willing to sacrifice their comfort and even their life to uphold the laws of the land.

A Word from Pastor Jack Hibbs

For Christmas, I asked for Jack Hibbs new devotional “Watching Waiting: A 40-Day End Times Devotional” because I do feel we’re in the end times. Here’s a quote from Day 8:

“In these days of deception, the need for discernment and steadfastness in the faith cannot be overstated. Believers must be vigilant against the subtle deceptions that permeate society guarding their hearts and minds with the truth of Scripture. By immersing themselves in the Word of God and deepening their relationship with Him, they can withstand the onslaught of falsehood and remain rooted in the unchanging truth of the Bible.

Know this: in these Last Days, you will see increased attacks on your thinking coming from deceiving spirits, invisible entities that will lie to you. Your only defense against spiritual deception is having Scripture embedded in your spirit. If you don’t know the Bible, you’re susceptible to deception. Remember, everything we read in Scripture has already been tested, tried, and attacked. Yet here we are reading statements made 2,000 years ago that fit perfectly with tomorrow’s news. This shows the timeless relevance of God’s Word.”

Have nothing to do with such people. 2 Tim. 3:1-5

How “They” Killed Charlie Kirk!

Most of us will never forget where we were when we heard that Christian apologist and freedom crusader Charlie Kirk was assassinated the day before we were to honor the memory of 9/11. I had just picked up my cell phone and the first post on my “Home” page was the video of Charlie being shot as he sat under his “Prove Me Wrong” tent taking questions from students at Utah Valley University. I wish I’d never seen it, but it’s now embedded in my memory.

I, like many of you, were in shock as I began to pray that this horrific demonic act of violence would not be fatal. I knew that Charlie had so much more work to do for the Lord and the conservative movement reaching the next generation that surely he would survive. I saw in the video that Charlie had reached for his neck and then the video went dead. It was surreal.

It wasn’t long before my daughter Kim and granddaughter Katelyn were texting me. Katelyn had attended Charlie’s Turning Point USA event at her college Boise State University last spring. She and her friends were so excited to see him in person that they arrived early and were right up front of the tent where Charlie sat. Their smiling faces appear in many videos and pictures posted on the Turning Point website. She’s a member of BSU campus Turning Point USA.

Far too soon, I received a call from my husband who heard on TV and a text from my daughter that Charlie had died. I think I said something like “Oh, God, no!” My daughter told me not to call Katelyn because she was crying and had to leave class to compose herself.

I’m sure you’ve read many tributes to Charlie’s love for his wife and young family, America, conservative values, but above all, his love and devotion to Jesus Christ and the Bible. As recent as June 29, he answered a question by host Jack Selby on “The Iced Coffee Hour” about how he wants to be remembered if “everything completely goes away?” Charlie answered, “You mean when I die? I want to be remembered for courage for my faith. That would be the most important thing. The most important thing is my faith,” he emphasized.

That’s exactly why so many Christians are mourning his tragic and untimely death. One of our brothers in Christ was felled by a radicalized deceived demented man with a targeted bullet meant to not only silence Charlie, but to silence anyone with conservative Christian values bold and courageous enough to voice and defend their beliefs in the public square.

Charlie was a fellow believer and brother in the family of God. We were thrilled for this young conservative influencer who founded Turning Point USA at eighteen and became close to President Trump and good friends with VP Vance and many of the cabinet members as well as conservative newscasters and influencers. Charlie was taking the Christian and conservative message to the corners of the earth and specifically into the lion’s den of today’s colleges.

That’s exactly why he was martyred! Many are calling it a political assassination, but it was also a spiritual assassination for his faith in Jesus Christ. Charlie vocally and unashamedly supported candidates who shared his conservative biblical values and was encouraging college students to consider those values in their own life and vote accordingly. President Trump and both his sons have publically said that Charlie was instrumental in getting out the younger generation’s vote that helped President Trump win the 2024 election and he would’ve done the same for the upcoming midterms and future elections.

In my opinion, that’s why “they,” brutally took him down. He was an influential voice “they” couldn’t control. Only 31 with a promising future. Some predicted he would be president someday. “They” couldn’t tolerate such a threat to their power.

Who Are The “They”?

Newscasters, commentary and opinion authors, podcasters, and public speakers reporting on Charlie’s assassination repeatedly pepper their discourse with the inclusive “they” because the opposition isn’t composed of a singular person, group, or entity. Yes, it seems one radicalized man shot the bullet, but who are “they” that influenced and indoctrinated him to commit such a brutal vicious satanic act? Every time I hear “they,” I ask myself, “Who are ‘they?’”

“They” is a compilation of Marxist/Communist and Islamist ideology in academia, media, social media, and government. Let’s look closer.

“They” are the college professors, schoolteachers, and administrators like assistant campus director at George Washington University who took to social media shortly after the assassination of Charlie Kirk and said it is “fair” that Kirk was gunned down due to his support of gun ownership and the Second Amendment.  “No thoughts no prayers,” the GWU employee added. 

Heather Mac Donald, Thomas W. Smith Fellow at the Manhattan Institute told Fox News Digital that it is “hard to imagine” Kirk was killed for “any other reason than that he was breaking the stranglehold of anti-Western ideology on college campuses and beyond. . . It was sadly fitting that he was killed at a college campus, and not even one known for its leftward leanings, since colleges are the seed bed of modern day speech suppression and the false equations that political contrarian speech = hate speech and that hate speech may be snuffed out—apparently by any means necessary.” 

Mac Donald continued, “The killer apparently agreed with those would-be censorers.  The self-centeredness and historical and moral ignorance of coddled American students has bloomed into something more pernicious, as the beatification of Luigi Mangione already showed.”

The suspected killer was a former Utah State University student and attended Dixie Technical College.  Was he radicalized there or maybe before? We’re aghast at Palestinian Arab children being taught antisemitic hatred and to glorify anti-Jewish terrorists or terrorists using young people as suicide bombers at early ages and yet this same hatred of Jews, Christians, conservatives, and God is being taught right here in the USA! Crooks died trying to assassinate President Trump at 20. Charlie’s shooter is 22.

“They” are the Illian Omar’s who vulgarly said Charlie brought his murder on himself for daring to speak out against wokeness and called his supporters s**t.

“They” are the governors like Walz who said our rights come from government not God. Pritzer who said Charlie’s free speech brought on his own death.

“They” are the Democrats yelling, “NO” to praying for Charlie in Congress the day he was murdered as one Republican congresswoman yelled out “you caused this.” I agree “they” absolutely have caused Charlie’s death with their radical, liberal, godless, immoral policies, and violent rhetoric.

“They” are the Democrats’ spouting hypocrisy with canned statements of “there’s no place for political violence.” They were the very ones calling for violence against conservatives, putting a bullseye or 86 target on President Trump with 2 assassination attempts. They told restaurants and businesses to say conservatives weren’t welcome. They were silent while Teslas and dealerships were vandalized, and cities burned during rioting protests. They’ve called Trump, Charlie, and MAGA followers a Nazis cult, fascists, KKK, racists, white supremacists, toxic, deplorables, Christian nationalists, right-wing extremists, and an existential threat to democracy, terms algorithms pick up and flood the phone screens of the impressionable and unstable.  

If Charlie was a liberal, there would’ve been violence in the streets across the nation condoned by the left. But what did our side do? We held prayer vigils across America and 17 countries, with police protection from liberal harassing protestors. That’s the difference between “they” and us.

“They” are the liberal progressive left who have tried to redefine morality and rewrite the foundations and history of our country, eradicate the Constitution, deny the biological reality of two sexes, legalize the murder of innocent babies, destroy the family, emasculate men, sexualize children, and eliminate God from the culture.

“They” are the liberal lying legacy media propaganda. Here’s a summary from the Media Research Center and a few I added of how some of them reacted to Charlie’s assassination:

Some outlets showed basic decency. But the usual suspects fell back into their worst habits. MSNBC’s Ken Dilanian blamed Trump’s immigration enforcement for stretching FBI resources, as if border policy caused Charlie’s murder. Nicole Wallace claimed democracy itself made it harder to track domestic threats, twisting mourning into an indictment of voters.

CBS Morning Host Burleson asked former speaker Keven McCarthy, “Speaking of this tragedy, is this a moment for your party to reflect on political violence? Is it a moment for us to think about the responsibility of our political leaders and their voices and what it does to the masses as they get lost in misinformation or disinformation that turns in, and spills into, political violence?”

ABC’s Kyra Phillips recited a laundry list of Charlie’s “controversial” statements — DEI, Jews, women, LGBTQ, people of color — as though disagreement justified violence. Aaron Katersky suggested Charlie’s presence “divided the campus,” ignoring the overwhelming majority who welcomed him.

At CNN, Oliver Darcy smeared conservatives for “partisan gain” while himself reducing Charlie to a “right-wing activist” with “contrarian” views. This is the Alinsky playbook: accuse others of what you are guilty of.

MSNBC host Matthew Dowd was fired for his comments right after the shooting, “He’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions,” blaming Charlie for being assassinated. Cold. Evil.

MRC concludes, “These responses reveal what we already know: the media’s ideology outweighs their humanity. Even in tragedy, they cannot rise above their loathing of the right. This is the challenge we face. The political Left and their media allies have normalized hostility, treating conservatives as enemies rather than fellow Americans. It must end.”

“They” are the late-night liberal hosts who have turned what once was comedy into a constant barrage against President Trump, Republicans, and conservatives.

“They” are social media where people are exposed to hate and vitriol, especially if you hold conservative views. Young people are often indiscriminate on who and what they follow. Friends of Charlie’s killer say he was radicalized in “the deep dark corners of the internet, the Reddit culture.”

“They” are BOT Farms, which I just learned about. Bots, not real people but electronic BOTS programmed to respond automatically on social media to escalate furor. Russia uses BOTS as does China especially on Tik Tok. Large facilities where people work to inflame situations to damage the US.

“They” are the dehumanizing gaming industry glorifying killing and death that many young men, including the assassin, are addicted to like cocaine.

“They” are those who are fostering and financing politics as a cultural rage.

“They” are the evil side of the spiritual war we now find ourselves embroiled in and to which Charlie Kirk became a wounded warrior. Charlie fought the battle with grace, joy, humility, wisdom, honesty, persuasion, and truth, yet “they” killed him. The Bible clearly defines what fuels “they.”

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:10-12)

The “They’s” Killed Charlie Kirk, But We Will Carry On His Legacy!

One or more of the above “theys,” conceived and manipulated by the powers of darkness and spiritual forces of evil, influenced Charlie’s assassin. Who knows which “they” influenced the killer most, but it was probably a combination of many or maybe even others.

Evil hates good. Satan hates Christians. Charlie was a fearless and bold Christian who unashamedly shared how to become a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. While he was firm and resolute in his delivery, you never heard him lose his temper, yell, or swear. He was courteous and kind even to those who disagreed vehemently with him. He was a bridge between both sides, with many saved at his TPUSA events.

Minds and hearts were changed to embrace Christian conservative values. Satan hated Charlie for that and for his biblical worldview. The devil found a willing soul to radicalize and fill with deadly hate to the point of killing in cold blood someone he’d never met. He could’ve picked up the microphone to debate with Charlie, but instead he cowardly picked up a gun to viciously kill him.

Charlie would want us to pray for his killer to be saved. He always said to pray for your enemies, which is something hard for most of us to do right now in our righteous anger and grief for a precious life taken far too soon.

“Conservatives will not be silenced,” Heather Mac Donald, told Fox News Digital, adding that Kirk “would not have been silenced” so conservatives should “emulate his courage.”

Mac Donald added, “It is a cliché and self-serving to say: they fear us because we are winning, but presumably, there is less of a perceived need to efface someone who is losing a cause anyway. Kirk was feared because he was winning.”

Charlie is still a winner! He has received a martyr’s crown with Jesus hugging him and welcoming him into heaven as a good and faithful servant. In Charlie’s own words, “All death can do to the believer is deliver him to Jesus.”

We’ll see you soon Charlie, but until then we’ll carry the torch of freedom and faith you passed down to us. We are Charlies Now! We are Onward Christian Soldiers!

Anyone who has followed my writings knows I’ve been sounding the call for the church, and that means Christians, to bravely and boldly take a stand for God and truth in the public square. I’ve also said that good can never unite or compromise with evil.

The battle lines are clearly drawn, and every American must choose if you’re on the Devil’s side of evil and violence or if you’re in the Lord’s army. Are you with the “they” side or are you on the Lord’s side? There’s no middle ground.

For those on the Lord’s side, we will not be shaken. We will not be silenced. We will put on the armor of God, take up the Word of God the “sword of the Spirit,” and we will prayerfully fight for Jesus’ Truth and Righteousness in this spiritual battle until the Lord returns.

Sweet Testimony from the Next Generation!

I leave you with the words of my nineteen-year-old granddaughter Katelyn when I asked if she had seen Erika Kirk’s eulogy to her husband. Here was my sweet Katelyn’s response. She represents the young “Charlie’s” who will continue his legacy.

“She [Erika] is so inspiring that in the face of true evil and probably the biggest tragedy she will ever have to face, she still said God is good and even though she doesn’t know what this means, He does. She’s truly an incredible and strong woman and 100% the type of woman I want to be. But ya know it was still really sad.”—Katelyn Mancini

Legislating Morality: A Christian Duty

I’m going to do something a little different in today’s Monday Morning Blog. I want to share an article about a very important duty for Christians: taking a stand for morality in the public square. That means advocating and voting for moral laws while opposing immoral laws. Morality is NOT subjective to the individual. Morality is absolutely and unquestionably defined by the Bible not the government or a person.

Today, we’re watching rampant immorality in the streets of every city often displayed by acts of violence most notably lately by young children. What kind of moral upbringing did these thugs get in their homes if any?! Yes, we can blame it on the parents, but we can also blame it on the church. When’s the last time your pastor talked about the blatant immorality in our culture today, often being re-enforced by immoral laws?

Maybe you’re one of those people who say you don’t bother yourself with “political issues.” Well I’m going to challenge you. That kind of thinking is immoral. It’s exactly why we see random shootings escalating, violence against innocent people in the streets, and car jackings. Children groomed and indoctrinated in schools to irrationally and immorally think that they can do the impossible and change their gender. Sex trafficking of children in America is at the highest level in any country on our watch!

I’ve mentioned before that I pray every morning with Pastor Jack Hibbs on his daily Lift Scripture prayer time. What an amazing way to start the day. Several days ago, he pointed out something very interesting in Philippians 3:20 “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” The word “citizenship” in the Greek in this passage is actually the word “politics.”

Yes, we are citizens of heaven and one way we should be living that out on earth is through our politics. You and I can each make a difference if we step out of our comfort zone and into our Christian citizenship persona.

Understanding Morals

“Understanding morals is crucial for our daily lives as Christians. Morals guide us on how to live in the way that pleases God. They help us discern right from wrong, ensuring that we uphold the values and standards outlined in the Bible. By understanding the essence of morals, we align our actions and decisions with God’s will for us. The Bible offers wisdom and guidance in moral living and serves as a compass for us, directing our paths as we navigate through life’s choices. When we seek to embody these morals, we reflect God’s character and promote goodness in the world around us.”

I could go on and on. We are becoming Sodom and Gomorrah in a country once known for its Judeo/Christian values and morals. Here is the article I wanted to share, “Why Legislate Morality?” that I received in an email from Kent DelHousaye, Director of Church Engagement for Idaho Family Policy Center. I hope you’ll ponder and pray about how it might apply to you and what you could do to be a changing force in your sphere of influence.

A common objection to the idea of promoting biblically sound public policy is that it’s not mission-critical or even worthwhile for Christians and churches to get involved in “legislating morality.” But is this objection accurate?

In short, NO. This kind of thinking is just wrong. There are actually seven reasons why we SHOULD care about “legislating morality.”

1. All legislation is moral. The only question is whose morality will be codified? There is always a moral agenda behind every piece of legislation, just as there are moral implications for every law that is adopted. The issue for us is simply whether we prefer a law that reflects a godly morality or worldly morality.

2. In a relativistic culture, accepted moral standards are determined by the laws that are passed, so the laws SERVE as the moral code of that society. If we want the ethical code of our society to be God-honoring, then we must seek to pass godly laws.

3. As Christians, moral neutrality is not an option for us. If we believe in the lordship of Christ over all things, then his lordship includes government and law. If government is God’s domain, then government and its laws must serve his purposes.

4. Since the church is a bulwark against evil, abstention from the political domain is not an option for us as it cedes the public square to ungodly leaders who co-opt it and use it for their own unfettered wicked purposes in the world.

5. Our political silence makes us complicit. Failing to speak up about evil and injustice in society undermines our credibility and our witness in the world. It implies that we are either indifferent to — or, even worse, on board with — whatever immoral laws are being passed.

6. Passing godly legislation is not in itself the solution to the wickedness of the human heart. However, moral conviction is often shaped by moral instruction. In other words, adopting laws which teach society to do the right things can often lead society to desire the right things.

7. Godly legislation is a form of evangelism. Passing God-honoring legislation glorifies God by putting his character and commands on public display for all to see who God is and how his kingdom works.

Bottom line, all legislation legislates some sort of morality—so whose morality are we legislating? What Does It Mean to Vote Biblically?

The 2024 election is quickly approaching on November 5th. Some of you may have already started early voting and good for you! For those who are still considering who to vote for and how to vote on your state bills, I wrote this blog for you.

I’m in leadership as an Idaho Area Coordinator for My Faith Votes. On our website, we offer a Pledge to Vote Your Biblical Values. I encourage you to take that pledge to vote in every election, be an informed and prayerful voter, and pledge, “As a Christian, I commit to voting for candidates and policies that uphold the sanctity of life, the traditional family, religious liberty, and justice for all. I believe that my biblical values should guide my choices at the ballot box, ensuring that our nation’s laws and leaders reflect God’s truth and righteousness.”

When we encourage everyone to vote their “biblical values,” that can mean different things to different people. It shouldn’t because according to Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ and the Word of God is timeless and universal. Unchanging. The Bible clearly states what we should champion and support or reject with our vote. By definition, our biblical values are based solely on Scripture and should reflect our biblical worldview.

 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Tim. 3:16-17 NLT

We typically rely on instruction manuals, Google, or YouTube for how to use appliances, automobiles, take medication, operate machinery or technology, find destinations . . . the list is endless. Guidance is essential to assure we’re functioning correctly for our own good and not harm.

For the Christian, our Life Instruction Manuel is the Bible. Like every owner’s manual, the Bible must be read to be useful. It contains everything believers need to know to follow Christ, glorify God, and live fruitful and righteous lives in a culture that tries to tell you that your faith can be set aside when you do something as important as voting.

What does God say about platform and policy issues that candidates champion to govern our lives, the lives of our friends and families, our communities, our churches, and the future?  Are their platforms biblical or unbiblical? It doesn’t matter what our personal opinion is of them, it matters whether or not they will govern biblically.

Dr. Jeff Myers, president of Summit Ministries, wisely advises, “We can figure out which candidate is most likely to lessen evil when it comes to diminishing life, when it comes to diminishing liberty, when it comes to diminishing the value of property. We’re not seeking a perfect world. We’re not utopians. But we are trying to figure out how to lessen evil so that people can be more free.”

We vote as our civic duty as an American, but also as our biblical responsibility as a Christian. However, research from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University shows as many as 104 million people of faith, including 32 million self-identified Christians who regularly attend church, are unlikely to vote in the upcoming 2024 presidential election mainly due to lack of interest. How could this be biblical when Christians could be the deciding factor in matters of life and death, good and evil? How can they stay home?

While the survey revealed some Christians don’t vote from complacency, it also showed many want instruction and guidance from their church on how to think about the issues from a biblical perspective. 

“Pastors often seek opportunities to have a positive influence in people’s lives and upon the culture, and to help the community in which their church is located,” the long-time researcher George Barna explained. “This research underscores the fact that simply encouraging people to vote in order to fulfill their biblical responsibility would not only be seen as doing their job while helping the community, but an estimated five million regular churchgoers would be likely to vote as a result of that simple exhortation. That, in itself, could change the outcome of the election by simply doing their job and getting congregants to fulfill one of their chief duties as an American citizen.”

When 45% of Christians and 6 in 10 Catholics say they’re in favor of abortion or are voting for an unbiblical political platform, it’s evident to me that pastors aren’t teaching biblical values and many Christians have not read their Bible. Culture, not the Bible, is shaping Christian opinion rather than God’s truths.

I’m not a pastor, but I am a seminary graduate and have been in ministry for thirty years. In this blog I’m providing Scriptures and resources for voting biblically in this election and every election. My blog would be far too long if I included all the issues, but you can hit on the highlighted links below to see the differences between the Democrat and Republican platforms according to Scripture to determine which federal, state, and local candidates will govern with more good than evil as measured by the Bible.

Did God Really Say?

Satan has used his most effective tool against living righteously since the Garden of Eden when he asked Eve, “Did God really say?” I’m here to tell you that God really did have something to say about many of the spiritual moral issues in our culture which we the church have let become politicized and are on the ballot on November 5th. I’m not talking candidate’s personalities. I’m talking about policies, which will become the law of the land if elected.

Do your own research. Read your Bible. Don’t let the biased media or even the candidates themselves influence your vote. Look at their policies and plans and your local ballot bills, then look at what the Bible has to say about each issue. That’s what should influence your prayerful vote as a Christian. Let’s look at a few of them.

ABORTION vs RIGHT TO LIFE is on the ballot in many states, and it’s also a Presidential issue because Harris has vowed that on day one, she’ll try to codify Roe v Wade into federal law. She and Democrat politicians tout the distorted lie that abortion is “reproductive rights” and “women’s healthcare.” That’s called twisting language that we see described in 2 Peter 3:16b-17.

Trump was the most pro-life President in history. He appointed three constitutional Supreme Court Judges who helped move the abortion laws from the federal government to the states. Sadly, because of the wide use of the abortion pill and “sanctuary abortion states” denying the sanctity of life and sacrificing babies to Molek, abortions have increased.

Harris has used Satan’s “Did God really say?” tactic to argue repeatedly that “you don’t need to abandon the principles of your faith or deeply held beliefs to support ‘abortion rights.'” She’s suggesting you can “choose” to kill babies guilt-free because it’s a woman’s right?! It’s Ok with God. Wrong!! That’s a nonsensical, unbiblical, demonic, and heretical lie. Harris denies that the government should protect a baby’s right to life even though the first “right” listed in our nation’s Declaration of Independence is the right to life, firmly rooted in the Judeo-Christian standards of morality upon which the United States of America was founded. Murder is a crime.

The truth is a Christian absolutely must suspend their faith in God and biblical principles to support legally or illegally killing babies. Kamala Harris has zero authority, faith, or knowledge of the Bible to speak on this matter and no person of faith should be persuaded by her. Yet she’s deviously planting doubt in many people’s minds, including pastors and Christians. It’s called syncretism!

She clearly told pro-life advocates they were “at the wrong rally.” These two young men bravely told her, “Abortion is a sacrament of Satan. Christ is King! Jesus is Lord!” They went there to represent God and counter her abominations with truth, but any Christians cheering and voting for a candidate stumping for the “freedom” and “right” to kill babies, are the ones at the wrong rally.

What Does the Bible Say About Abortion vs Right to Life?

When God creates each child through conception, there’s a flash of light and life begins. God gives him or her a spirit and soul that can’t be destroyed or denied. That’s a spiritual not political fact. Biologically, no person has ever been born without a spirit and soul.

Unborn babies are human. Humans are sacred! God declares in His Word the sanctity of life that He created in His image.

  • “You must not murder.” Ex 20:13
  • For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:13-16
  • [Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.  Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. Ps. 127:3-5
  • I was thrust into your arms at my birth. You have been my God from the moment I was born. Ps. 22:10 NLT
  • “This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb:
  • I am the Lord, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself.” Is. 44:24
  • Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the Lord called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name. Is. 49:1
  • “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jer. 1:5
  • As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. Ecc. 11:5
  • “‘Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord. Lev. 18:21
  • Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, ensure justice for those being crushed. Pr. 31:8
  • There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood. Pr. 6:16-17

You absolutely would have to abandon and deny your faith and God’s Word to be a Christian who supports or votes for abortion or any candidate promoting abortion! It’s a sin. This atrocity is happening at the nation’s largest children’s hospitals designed to treat and save children’s lives, not maim them for life at an age many are too young to fully appreciate or comprehend the damage being done to their bodies. Who could’ve ever imagined this travesty would happen in America, but the Biden /Harris administration has championed this by protecting the doctors and hospitals rather than putting a stop to the madness and Harris would not stop it either.

The Biden/Harris administration tried to change Title IX to include gender and allow boys to play in girls’ sports and be in girls’ locker rooms and bathrooms. Harris will not support girls. President Trump says he will ban ‘trans’ aka men in girls’ sports.

What Does the Bible Say About Religious Liberty?

Gender isn’t fluid, it’s God-given. To affirm radical gender ideology is to implicitly deny the workmanship and sovereignty of God. It’s to deny God and His Word. Government is ordained of God (Romans 13:1-7), but government cannot become God.

Which candidates will protect the unborn through the elderly? Which candidates will support Israel?

We must as Christians do our part to ensure as much as it is up to us that candidates who protect biblical principles are voted into power. But we must always remember that our highest authority is God. The mandate in Romans 13 is simple: obey God, then man. When man’s orders conflict with God’s, we follow God. So pray, read your Bible, and vote how God instructs you in the Bible.

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Ps. 119:105

Don’t Be Fooled by the ‘Joy and Vibes’ Political Shield!

An author friend of mine recently put a meme on her Facebook profile page, “What in the world does the politics of joy mean?” Here were some of the responses:

  • “‘Strength through joy’ was a Nazi slogan in 1933 to fool the public into thinking their lives were going well.” [This is true]
  • “To me, it means she has nothing legitimate to contribute.”
  • “It means she’s an empty suit with absolutely nothing to offer except four more years of dismantling the entire Constitution in favor of Socialism with the aim of a complete dictatorship. But shhhhh… we’re not supposed to notice that.”
  • “They’re trying to fool/distract everyone talking about joy with their everything will be ok BS. Meanwhile they’re the reason we’re in this situation. Sad thing is many are falling for it
  • “Purely political spin to cover the cackle.”

This last statement is exactly what I thought when I first heard the Harris “joy” campaign. She can’t speak without a nervous laugh, even when the topic is serious and laughing is inappropriate. So, if she can’t control it, let’s just call it joy. But is that how you really want a President responding in the situation room with a nuclear button in his or her hand or when communicating with other world leaders?

It’s all part of the liberal propaganda media machine that the Democrats are using to rebrand Harris from a losing candidate with no votes to the candidate they now have to build up to win. Media hypocrisy, bias, lies, spin masking uncontrollable laughter and cackling in a presidential candidate they must support no matter how incapable she obviously is.

It shows the power of media propaganda. A couple of months ago, they were telling Biden to drop Harris then the Democrats dropped Biden and turned Harris into the joy and good vibes candidate. It’s tragic how easily people are fooled and manipulated by a biased press who truly are the enemy of the people.

Someone else responded on the Facebook chat using the term “cult of Trump” and proceeded to list off all the liberal and media talking points against Trump as if she had actually seen all these things happen personally. That’s the power of the press and how easily people can be gullibly persuaded by lies and repetition.

To which I would reply,

“It’s sad to hear you tick off all the mainstream propaganda talking points. Have you tried listening to Newsmax, Fox, Flashpoint, or Victory News to hear the other side of truth to lies? Do you want America to become a Communist country because Harris is a Marxist and further to the left then the Squad or Bernie Sanders! She’s not a moderate any more than Biden was, and she lies just like him.

If you wondered where Harris came up with her oft repeated slogan, “unburdened by what has been,” it’s straight from Karl Marx who said, “Move forward into a future unburdened by what has been.”

Another person wrote, “There has been a lot of joy energizing Kamala’s campaign since she took over the nomination.”

Here would be my response: “Seriously, ‘joy in her campaign’?”

  • What joy is there in having a diabolical zeal for killing innocent babies and mislabeling it as a “woman’s right” or “reproductive healthcare”?
  •  What joy is there in federally codifying Roe v. Wade infanticide up until and even after birth by making it “the law of the land”?
  • What joy is there in calling pro-life laws “immoral” and repealing the Hyde Amendment?
  • What joy is there in giving young children harmful hormone drugs, castrating and mutilating them, while deceiving these vulnerable children with the lie that they can change their gender?
  • What joy is there in promoting the sexual perversion of transgenderism?
  • What joy is there in flooding our borders with illegals, criminals, and drugs?
  • What joy is there in losing 385,000 unaccompanied children crossing the border?
  • What joy is there in inflation?
  • What joy is there in skyrocketing grocery, home, and gas prices?
  • What joy is there in rewriting Title IX to give biological males’ access to female private spaces and invading girls’ sports?
  • What joy is there in supporting the Equality Act criminalizing employees, medical professionals, parents, and organizations holding biblical views on sexuality?
  • What joy is there in indoctrinating young children with sexual perversion and encouraging them to question how God made them?
  • What joy is there in censorship?
  • What joy is there in wars?
  • What joy is there in antisemitism and defending terrorists while removing support from Israel?
  • What joy is there in the government giving thousands of dollars, housing, and luxuries to illegals, billions to foreign countries, but lacking funds to help Americans ravaged by a hurricane?
  • What joy is there in giving incarcerated felons and illegals government funded sex change surgeries?
  • What joy is there in tyrannical Marxism/Communism?  

Harris literally laughs off as joyful and good vibes the above Democrat platform that she touts along with other atrocities and threats to our democracy and republic. That’s not joy. That’s EVIL! That’s not how God defines joy.

The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. Pr. 10:28

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Pray for Christians to Vote Biblically and NOT Emotionally!

I hope you’ll read my September About His Work Ministries Newsletter. The opening article was “Pray That Christians Move from the Pews to the Polls!” Some have assumed that my posts on social media, newsletters, and blogs pointing out the importance of voting our biblical values might just be speaking to the choir as if every Christian votes that way.

Unbelievably only 1 in 3 Christians vote?! Roughly 30% of Evangelicals aren’t registered to vote, and of those registered to vote, 40% don’t vote. For the life of me, I can’t understand this apathy among so many Christians who don’t see it as their civic and Christian duty to participate in the elections.

Here’s another disturbing fact I’m still processing. After all the things I’ve mentioned in this blog, and there are so many more about the agenda and platform of Kamala Harris and the Democrats that is evil, woke, Marxist, and diabolical going against all godly biblical principles and beliefs, there are Christians voting for her and her unbiblical values and policy plans?!

I’m most saddened by the article Surprising Presidential Election Shift Among Christian Pastors Exposes Tragic Truth About Today’s Politics that pointed out that 61% of Evangelical pastors plan to vote for Trump while 50% of mainline Protestant pastors are voting for Harris’ anti- God, anti-biblical policies because of “personal character.” Say what? What character qualities embrace evil policies like infanticide? Trump isn’t the only one with history. Harris hasn’t been held accountable for being the mistress at age 29 of a married 60-year-old politician! These pastors are writing off her transgressions and focusing on all the bad press about Trump. But the sad thing is pastors voting for all the evil I posted earlier, are influencing their congregants to do the same. How will they answer for this to God?

I guess these pastors would’ve voted for the dethroning of adulterer and murder conspirator and plotter King David. They would’ve never forgiven him. Yes, he had consequences to pay for his sins, but God saw his heart and the good he could do for God’s people, and He used him in spite of his flawed past. Similarly, with the apostle Paul who persecuted Christians. God saw something in him that no one else saw and aren’t we glad since he wrote most of the New Testament. I could go on and on.

I’m particularly grieved by a pastor personal to me. It’s taken me days to reconcile Pastor Ray Ortlund Jr.’s twitter post with the pastor I thought I knew. I was mentored by his mother Anne Ortlund and met his father Pastor Ray Ortlund Sr. many times. They were an amazing Bible-believing and Bible teaching couple. I’ve followed their Renewal Ministries, now headed by Ortlund Jr., for over thirty years so I was shocked to read Ortlund Jr.’s now deleted tweet, “Never Trump. This time Harris. Always Jesus.” Trying to defend himself from the pushback he received he wrote, “Abortion is a horrible evil. But…” He lost all credibility. Using Jesus to justify legalized murder of babies is appalling. There is no ‘but,’ which many pointed out to him before he deleted the tweet. I no longer follow Renewal Ministries, and I’ll write a letter to Ray Ortlund Jr. explaining why. His parents would be so disappointed as was I.

In the 2016 election, I wrote a blog asking Why Aren’t All Christians Extending Grace and Forgiveness to Trump?, and republished and updated it in 2020. It’s about Christians and pastors, who tout the Gospel of Jesus’ forgiveness and grace, yet refuse to extend forgiveness to Trump, who has stated unequivocally that he is a Christian. He did more for religious and Christian rights and liberties during his presidency than any other president. He speaks the name of Jesus Christ often, not in a slanderous way but respectfully and faithfully. He has attributed two failed assassination attempts on his life to God’s miracle protection. Yet, many Christians still refuse to forgive his past and haven’t addressed Harris’ past or the numerous times she’s voted, both as a Senator and Vice President, against the free exercise of religion.

We must remember that we’re not voting for a person’s personality, but we vote for their platform. As Christians, we vote for how they will govern under the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Freedom of Religion, and the Bible to protect and maintain the United States as a republic founded on biblical principles.

Pastor Franklin Graham wrote in the opening article in October 2024 Decision Magazine, “The Bible clearly teaches that governments are ordained by God to restrain evil and enable righteousness to flourish (Romans 13:3-4). That’s why Christians should carefully pray and vote for candidates who best align with and stand for Biblical principles from the presidency and down ballot. Vote to lessen evil.”

Pastor Graham’s daughter Cissie Graham Lynch wrote about the election, “Our battle is not between political parties—it’s a matter of good versus evil. Truth versus lies. And God’s absolute truth never changes no matter how our culture tries to redefine it.” Cissie is offering Fearless Family, a free, eight day voting prayer guide about the most urgent issues affecting the heart of our families–education, the economy, gender ideology, immigration, the family structure, the sanctity of life, and religious freedom. Jesus the Great Divider

Were you surprised to see the title of this blog? We’re more accustomed to hearing about Jesus as the spiritual Unifier and Prince of Peace. Last week, some people found fault with my discussion of Jesus and politics. I always welcome dissenting points of view, but I do stand by everything I wrote last week in the blog The Lies Satan Uses to Deceive Christians and Churches. I always back my words with Scripture plus my understanding and discerning of both God’s Word and how the Holy Spirit guides me. I don’t come up with these topics on my own. I’m led by the Holy Spirit.

I’m sad and a bit disappointed when I learn that some people are afraid of sharing my blogs for fear of being censored. Fear is an extremely effective tool of the enemy. Unfortunately, many Christians stay silent in the face of adversity and even blasphemy against our Lord. Don’t you think we as Christians should be the ones telling everyone about Luke 12:8-10, which will determine where they spend eternity?

I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God. 9 But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned before the angels of God. 10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. Luke 12:8-10

To His followers Jesus assures us . . .

11 “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” Luke 12:11-12

Back to the subject of today’s blog. How does Jesus divide? Well, for starters, He explains this clearly in Luke 12:49-53 where the heading for this passage in my Bible reads “Not Peace but Division”
49 “I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed! 51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. 52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

You might wonder if the division in the family examples mentioned in Luke 12:51-53 happened because some family members were Christians, and some were not. That does happen as we all know who have unbelievers or those with different faith beliefs in our families. It can make for awkward family gatherings when the topic turns to politics or religion. But that kind of spiritual division also occurs in families where all dissenting parties claim to be “Christians.” A perfect example happened last week when a group calling themselves “Evangelicals for Harris” (an oxymoron) ran an ad against President Trump with a clip showing Billy Graham at one of his evangelical crusades.

This group claims that hard-left neo-Socialist, anti-Israel, pro-Hamas Kamala Harris, who supports murdering babies up to and after birth with abortion on demand, mutilating and castrating children, indoctrinating children in school with sexual deviancy and gender lies, invasion of America by illegals, authored the California grab and dash theft law, funded Antifa and violent protestors bailouts, “Better Reflects Christian Values.”

Some so-called evangelical “faith leaders” joined this blasphemous group for Harris, including Billy Graham’s granddaughter, Jerushah Duford, who is the daughter of Virginia “Gigi” Graham Tchividjian, Billy Graham’s oldest daughter. Duford participated in a virtual event sponsored by “Evangelicals for Harris” led by Ekemini Uwan who declares “whiteness is wicked,” police need to be destroyed and rebuilt, and churches should pay global reparations to “People of African descent.”

Billy Graham’s son and Duford’s uncle, true Christian Evangelist Franklin Graham blasted the fake “Evangelicals for Harris” organization for using footage of his late father in an attack ad against former President Trump who he argued if his father were alive, would support Trump.

Franklin tweeted, “The liberals are using anything and everything they can to promote candidate Harris. They even developed a political ad trying to use my father @BillyGraham’s image,” he wrote in a social media post. “They are trying to mislead people. Maybe they don’t know that my father appreciated the conservative values and policies of President @realDonaldTrump in 2016, and if he were alive today, my father’s views and opinions would not have changed.”

The Evangelicals for Harris account replied, “Praying for you” along with a heart emoji beneath his post and later said in a retweet that Graham has “forsaken the gospel.” They need to look in the mirror!

The Billy Graham extended family is living out the division described in Luke 12:49-53 as perhaps many of you are too. The two sides cannot unify, agree, or have peace over the definition of what it even means to be an evangelical or a Christian, let alone politics. They’re divided.

Common Sense vs Insanity!

Evil has taken off its mask and openly rebelled against the Word and ways of God, especially in this election cycle. Good can never unite with evil.

As voting and professing Christians, we have a choice to limit evil. When a church, pastor, or Christian objects to the obvious evil on display in our culture today, we’re defending and representing Christ in the spiritual battle between good and evil in our world.

One political side rejects the biological and spiritual reality of male and female with irreversible biological differences, which in the beginning God created! So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them (Gen. 1:27). How could a commonsense Christ-follower reject this biblical reality?

One political side rejects the biological and spiritual reality that God creates at conception a human being with a spirit, soul, and purpose! Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart, (Jer. 1:5). How could a commonsense Christ-follower reject this biblical reality?

One political side rejects the biological and spiritual reality that “Pro-choice” is pro-murder. “You shall not murder” (Ex. 20:13). How could a commonsense Christ-follower reject this biblical reality?

One political side rejects the biological and spiritual reality that God created family! Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them (Ps. 127:3-5). How could a commonsense Christ-follower reject this biblical reality?

At the DNC Convention this week, anti-God, anti-family, genocidal Planned Parenthood is rolling in with a mobile health clinic offering free vasectomies, medication abortion, and “emergency contraception,” aka the morning after pill (EC)! The Democrats support Planned Parenthood, a huge donor.

One political side rejects Israel and champions anti-semantic, pro-Hamas policies. “3 I will bless those who bless you [Israel], and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you (Gen. 12:3). How could a commonsense Christ-follower reject this biblical reality?

How could a Christ-follower, Bible-believer be okay with the values, policies, and beliefs of the Democrat platform that completely contradict the Bible? Yet, there are those who profess to be “Christian” who would still vote for allowing the tearing apart limb by limb, poisoning by injection, or breaking the neck of God’s babies in the womb, gender and sexual mutilation of children, destroying the family, and abandoning Israel?! What Scriptures are they using to justify this barbaric, anti-God agenda?

Still some leaders in the Christian church tell pastors not to speak about these atrocities or choices. When the political realm comes into our Christian moral lane, is the church really being political if they resist or are they being biblical? As Fr Pavone of Priestsforlife.org says, “For a church to call this out it’s a church defending church.” I would add defending Christ who has already determined the dividing line between good and evil. No compromise.

If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 1 John 1:6

Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 2 Cor. 6:14

The Divine Divide

The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. Pr. 4:19

The biggest sin isn’t division, it’s what side you choose to take. No one can ride the fence on these issues because Satan is sitting on the fence. Jesus instructs us to pick a side. Every Bible-believing Christian must make the most important “choice” in life as to whom you will follow. We can’t follow a little bit of Jesus and a little bit of the world. We can’t go along to get along.

So Jesus said to them, “The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. John 12:35

To open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ Acts 26:18

God actually created the concept of division from the beginning of time. In the beginning, God divided the light of day from the dark of night.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.  Gen. 1:1-4

Then throughout Scripture, He refers to good as light and evil as dark. The godly who are saved, live by faith in the light spiritually and morally divided from the demonic lost in the dark.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Is. 5:20

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 1 John 1:5

For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Eph. 5:8

Jesus, the Great Divider Between Eternal Life or Eternal Death

Jesus put a line in the sand with the Gospel and finalized it at the Cross. He offers grace and mercy when we ask Him for forgiveness, repent from our sins, and receive Him as our Lord and Savior. But that choice is only offered to the living. There’s a great divide between Heaven and Hell.

Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. Eph. 5:11

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. John 3:19-20

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:5-7

I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. John 12:46

Sadly, some will still choose darkness or not live fully in the light and that breaks Jesus’ and our hearts. We can’t make the choice for them, but we can present the truth, live the truth, pray for their salvation and willingness to step out of the dark into the fullness of the light. As for each of us who know Jesus as our Lord and Savior, there is no fellowship with the world’s ways as we remember this earth is not our eternal home.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matt. 5:14-16

“The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like total darkness. They have no idea what they are stumbling over.” Pr. 4:18-19

The Millimeter Miracle!

I had planned to take this week off from writing my Monday Morning Blog, but after the attempted assassination of President Trump while we were on vacation last week, and Biden pulling out of the presidential race, I feel I can’t wait another week to share what the Lord’s been revealing to me.

Like so many other history-making events in the past, I’ll never forget where I was when my texts started blowing up with the news of the horrific, satanic, cowardly attempt to take President Trump’s life. Dave and I were enjoying a meet-and-greet party at our son’s house in North Carolina where we were meeting our grandson’s bride-to-be and her family the night before their wedding the next day. We were surrounded by family members and friends we hadn’t seen in years and looking forward to seeing our new six-month-old great-grandbaby and her mommy, neither of which we had met yet. It was a joyful gathering and then the conversation turned to President Trump’s harrowing experience as new details filled all our phones.

There was relief that Trump would be ok, but sadness to learn that a rally attender was murdered while shielding his wife and two daughters from the bullets and two others were critically injured. How did this happen? Why did this happen? As I write this blog, we still don’t have those answers and I wonder if we ever will.

Why have so many Democrats, liberals, media pundits, and progressives, including the Biden Administration, tried to silence and gag Donald J. Trump and his supporters during this presidential campaign? Why are they so afraid of a fair political fight? They’ve tried to intimidate him, falsely impeach him, imprison him, take him off the ballot, and now eliminate him? I think it’s because . . .

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. John 3:20

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

They’re afraid that Trump will uncover and expose the evil, selfish, corrupt deeds they’ve undemocratically imposed on the American people in order to destroy America for personal and political gain, greed, and power. I don’t care who they nominate to replace Biden, the Democrat political platform and agenda is demonic and evil. Those who subscribe to it have been deceived by lies.

Trump doesn’t even need to reveal their lies and demonic platform. God is doing it for him. For example, all Trump had to do was show up at the debate, and Biden showed the world the great four-year cover up that he is not capable of leading America. Someone else is obviously running the White House and every person and media pundit who swore he was capable, was lying. Most of us who are paying attention already knew that. Now, with the dark deceit and deception exposed to the light, it can’t be denied. Just as when light hits cockroaches, they’re all scrambling for cover and cover up.

Speaking To The ‘Never-Trumpers’

I’m sure some in my broad mailing list don’t like President Trump. You are still talking about the mean tweets, even though he hasn’t been on Twitter, now X, for four years. It’s hard for you to admit that life was so much better during his administration because you don’t like him personally. I don’t know all your issues, but here are some that I’ve heard from Never Trumpers:

  • Trump’s been divorced and married three times. Well Reagan was divorced and married twice. Did you hold that against him? I’ve been divorced and married twice too. Do you hold that against me? I know God hates divorce, but He also gave us free will and some of us, or our spouses, made poor choices in our earlier years. I was unequally yoked because I didn’t have wise mentoring as a young college grad. I’ve asked God for forgiveness and received God’s grace to marry my husband of thirty-two years, Dave, and become a Christian author, speaker, and director of Woman to Woman Mentoring and About His Work Ministries. 
  • Things Trump’s said and done in the past. When I looked at a list of things Never-Trumpers claimed he said or did, most of them have been debunked, even though the media and Democrats continue to tout the misquotes and lies. King David actually raped another man’s wife and when he impregnated her, he had her husband killed. Yet, God called David a man after his own heart and used David in the lineage of Jesus Christ. David had consequences like the loss of the son he and Bathsheba conceived, but then God gave them Solomon. Many of us find solace in reading King David’s Psalms, which are a favorite part of our beloved Bible. God can turn our past into purpose, and I do believe that’s what he’s going to do with President Trump.
  • Trump’s Language. I’ll admit I cringe a lot too, or at least I did. But in his 90-minute Republican National Convention (RNC) speech, he didn’t say one cuss word!! He mentioned that a few months ago Franklin Graham had asked him to not use foul language and he said, “the last four or five times I’ve been good.” So, he knows and he’s trying! Trump also said, “I humbly ask for your vote.” He used the word humble at least twice and when he gave tribute to the fireman who was killed by one of the assassin’s bullets, Trump quoted, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.” 1 John 3:16

I say to every “never-Trumper,” he who has never sinned, go ahead and throw the first verbal barb. But oh yeah, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) We’re voting for a platform, not a personality!

A Changed Man Still in the Fight

Near-death experiences change you forever. When I had my first diagnosis of breast cancer, I wasn’t sure if I would live or die. But I experienced a serenity of either being with the Lord for eternity, or if God spared me, knowing He had a purpose for my life that I had not yet tapped into. Obviously, I lived and actually lived through two more breast cancer scares. It changes you. In the Introduction to my book Dear God, They Say It’s Cancer, I wrote: “I continuously seek a new term to describe the ordeal because I’m more than just a “survivor”; I’m also a “winner”! You see, there is a spiritual battle going on around us—a battle for our souls, our hearts, and our minds—and God does not want us merely to survive this battle. He assures us that with His help we will be victorious. Wounded but not defeated. Not just surviving, implying we barely make it, but energized by running the race, staying the course, and fighting the good fight. Somehow, some way, we will be better women because of this experience.

I don’t feel I just survived’ rather, I believe God had a purpose and a plan in my breast cancer. He wanted my heart to break for every woman going through this. He intended for me to write this book and speak freely so others also might find purpose in their breast cancer.”

If you heard President Trump’s RNC speech, you heard him describe in detail the events of his near assassination. He said that might be the last time we hear him talk about it because it’s just too painful to recall. I wrote exactly that in Dear God, They Say It’s Cancer: “It took me months to write the first words of this book. I wanted so badly for you to have it in your hands, but every time I thought about putting my journey into words, it seemed too painful. Finally, I cried out to God to release what was holding me back and discovered that freeing power came when I wrote through the pain and despite the pain.”

Many of us have prayed for President Trump for years, and yes, we always pray that he will grow closer in his relationship with God. Escaping a near death experience will do that for you.

In President Trump’s case, the bullet missed blowing off the side of his face by ¼ inch, even closer than a millimeter, as he tilted his head to look at a graphic on the screen. His son, Eric, said his father’s Guardian Angel protected him. He usually shows that graphic towards the end of his speech, but in Buttler, Pennsylvania, he went off script and asked to show it just before the bullets started flying. When he showed the graphic at the RNC, he mentioned he never got to see it in Buttler, but it providentially saved his life turning to look at it. A Millimeter Miracle!

 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Gen 50:20

Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. Phil. 1:12

Following are some direct quotes from President Trump the week following the attempted assassination.

  • On Truth Social, Trump acknowledged it was divine providence that spared him and an act of God: “Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness. Our love goes out to the other victims and their families. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts thememory of the citizen who was so horribly killed.”
  • “It was God who helped me!”
  • “It changes your attitude, your viewpoint on life. Honestly, you appreciate God even more!”
  • “I’m not supposed to be here tonight, and yet, I stand here before you in this arena only by the grace of Almighty God who had other plans!”
  • Referring to when he dropped down after sensing something flying by his right ear and bringing his hand down full of blood knowing it was a bullet: “The amazing thing is I felt safe. I felt serene because I had God on my side.”
  • “None of us knows God’s plan for us. If I learned anything from last Saturday (July 13th), every moment we have on earth is a gift from God.”

To that, I, Janet, say Amen.

Pray for Former President and Republican Presidential Nominee Donald J. Trump’s Spiritual Transformation, Growth, and Reliance on God!

“I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NASB)

Twice in the last week, I’ve heard President Trump mention how his father took him to Yankee Stadium to hear Reverend Billy Graham. He’s remembering his spiritual roots. We must keep praying for President Trump because he can’t help but experience some PTSD from such a traumatic experience. Since he knows and acknowledges that it was God who saved him for such a time as this, our prayers can help him overcome any negative feelings as we celebrate with him a victory over an evil attempt to take him down.

I don’t know why God chose to use adulterer and murderer King David, or secular King Cyrus (Chr. 36-22-23, Ezra 1:1-2), and I don’t know why God’s using Donald J. Trump to make America great again. But I do believe God has called him and will protect him and use him to save America physically, globally, economically, and spiritually. When you consider the many evil attempts to discredit and destroy Trump, yet he still prevails, I think we need to agree with Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who was President Trump’s Press Secretary and now the youngest governor in the United States and the first female governor of Arkansas, when she said at the RNC:

President Trump’s immediate reaction to the assassination attempt was captured in the iconic picture of him standing amongst Secret Service agents under the American flag with his fist in the air and blood streaming down his face, telling us to not give up or give in but to “Fight, Fight, Fight!”

We too must not lose heart, give up, or give in! However God leads you in the next four months to fight the spiritual and political battle, we can turn this all into good. We can help bring back civility, love for fellow man, and most importantly our dependence on, respect for, and love of God our Great Creator, Provider, and Ruler!

For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Phil. 2:13

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Rom. 8:28

What Is God’s Revelation in Harrison Butker’s Commencement Speech?

If you follow me regularly, you’re not surprised with the topic God has me writing about this week, as it has relentlessly filled the news cycles. Actually, there’s so much written about it, I wondered what I could share that you hadn’t already read or heard.

But I think I might be able to offer a different perspective and how we as committed Christians can find hope and encouragement to share our own faith and beliefs as openly and honestly as Harrison Butker did, especially when like him, we’re speaking to our faith peers. The world notices when we speak out because typically, we tend to keep our beliefs inside the walls of our church. Or we let the atrocities and evil we see daily in our culture not affect us personally, emotionally, or spiritually.

Even though we don’t all have a platform like Harrison Butker, a three-time Super Bowl Kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, God will reveal to us places and times we can be bold for Him. I don’t know much about football. I had to ask my husband if a “kicker” only plays on the field when it’s time to kick the ball. While his kick can determine the outcome of a game, he’s also only visible when kicking.

Yet, Butker was quite visible when he gave a commencement speech on his own time at Benedictine College, not as a Chief’s Kicker, but as a Catholic man, husband, and father to an audience of Catholic graduating students. As a speaker myself, it’s imperative to know your audience and speak to issues that will affect, motivate, and encourage them. When I speak to a group of Christian women, I’m not addressing the secular world or media. I might speak about those topics and my thoughts on how we can be a light in a dark world or even change it, but I’m not expecting the secular culture to agree with me.

I may however receive a negative response to something I write publicly. For example, I posted on a community Facebook group page about pornographic books targeting children in our local library that started a firestorm of positive and negative comments. I was surprised at all the negatives, but soon I knew I’d touched on a topic that liberals expect conservatives to just tolerate as “normal,” accept, and stay silent. Unfortunately, that’s been our typical pattern which is how we’ve arrived at orgy parades in front of children during a month devoted to sin, coming up in a couple of weeks. The left also promotes killing babies in their mother’s wombs as “normal healthcare,” so when conservatives speak out against anything evil, we’re the “radical” “extreme” ones.

The next time I posted something on the community Facebook page, I was prepared for the pushback. I told the first person with a snarky comment that I was expecting this and they didn’t disappoint. I suggested they were the very ones who needed to hear my message most. The result was silence and no one else has posted a negative remark yet.

Did Butker expect the firestorm he started? I rather doubt it. I’ve heard him interviewed before. He speaks out against abortion often and the left’s woke evil agenda. But this time was different. People in the media, who he wasn’t speaking to, felt they needed to chime in and critically attack him for having values different than the woke ones they’re trying to normalize. They got defensive because they expect us to literally let them call good evil and evil good, shut up, and take it.

The culture, starting at the White House, has rejected God and God’s way of life and we’re watching violence, crime, broken families, single-parent families, divorce, Marxism, suicide especially amongst teens, addictions, dissatisfaction with how God made you, war on women, pro-terrorist support, and lies called gaffes from a president who lies every time he opens his mouth.

Some criticized Butker’s speech because they said he was taking women back to the 50’s. That’s rich from the same people advocating the erasure of women and can’t even define a woman. They believe women should be more like a man or replaced by a man pretending to be “her”! Women should have abortions because the economy needs more women in the workplace instead of nurturing families at home. How absurd and evil is that!!

The graduates at Benedictine College in Butker’s audience didn’t protest or walk out. They were respectful, applauded often, and gave him a standing ovation. That’s the difference between a Catholic or Christian College like ORU where they sang praise songs at commencement, and the elite indoctrination colleges where students tear up their diplomas, hold up signs for terrorism, yell, walk out, and disrupt the speaker. Which student would you want to hire? Which student would you be proud of as a parent?

What’s All the Fuss?

If you haven’t heard, the NFL Kansas City Chief’s Kicker Harrison Butker gave a commencement speech at a Catholic College where he spoke about not only his own Catholic faith practices, but also what were probably the same beliefs of every Catholic student in the audience. They had a common ground and common faith foundation, so he was mentoring and confirming how to live out their faith in the real world. Critics who weren’t students, and in most cases weren’t Catholic, were offended by his profession of faith and how dare him share it in the public square?!

Every day the liberal news is full of glowing articles praising and glamorizing the antics of his fellow Chiefs player Kelce consorting with Taylor Swift. They think it’s big news that should interest us. They love writing about his childish antics like jugging a beer during his commencement speech. But when a clean cut, Catholic married father speaks on the virtues of loving, providing for, and cherishing your wife and family as a masculine husband and father, those same news pundits go crazy. How dare he speak of virtues like that to impressionable college students! How dare he say that God blessed women with the capability of birthing and nurturing children! How dare he declare that God created marriage to be between a husband and wife!

The NFL had their “chief diversity and inclusion officer” issue a statement distancing the league from him, and as you read this, 150,000 people have demanded his immediate firing. Head Coach Andy Reed says no way. “I’m not losing a great kicker to this whole woke thing. Not on my watch… If they get rid of Harrison. They get rid of me.”

 Jason Yates’, CEO of MyFaithVotes, in an email to MFV Action Partners shared some points in Butker’s pro-faith speech that critics found offensive.

On Biden: “Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith but at the same time is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally.”

On Women: “It is you, the women, who’ve had the most diabolical lies told to you. Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world. But I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”

On Men: “…the absence of men in the home is what plays a large role in the violence we see all around the nation. Be unapologetic in your masculinity. Fight against the cultural emasculation of men.”

On Pride Month: “I’m certain the reporters at the AP couldn’t have imagined that their attempt to rebuke and embarrass places and people like those here at Benedictine [University] wouldn’t be met with anger, but…with excitement and pride. Not the deadly sin sort of pride that has an entire month dedicated to it. But the true God-centered pride that’s cooperating with the Holy Ghost to glorify Him.”

Yates concluded with: “This attempt to CANCEL Harrison Butker is nothing but anti-Christian bigotry. We cannot allow Christian values to be pushed out of the public square.”

God Will Use All of This for The Lord’s Glory!

Do you respect the NFL that stood behind Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the National Anthem, hosting pride celebrations and jerseys, drag shows at games, silent when players arrested for spousal abuse, reckless drunk driving, murder…but one of their players speaks out for God and godly values and they disavow him? Is this an organization you care about what they think?

Do you care what the gossiping liberal women on The View think?

Do you care about liberal media’s meltdown over conservatives and Christians?

Here’s my “view.” When the culture wants to cancel you, you’re probably doing something right! Wear it like a badge. It’s an honor when the world persecutes you for your faith because you’ve hit a nerve. They know in their core that what they’re doing and saying is wrong, but Satan has convinced them his ways are more fulfilling than God’s ways. In the end, everyone will answer to God for their choices and actions. Satan leaves that truth out of his crusade for perversion and sin.

What Satan means for evil, God will use as good. Butker could literally be saying today, like Joseph said to his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives (Gen. 50:20).

Benedictine is a small college, but just look at how many people are actually reading or listening to Butker’s speech that has gone viral. His enemies are listening to it, even though they take much of it out of context. His truths, even when ridiculed, are broadcast on every news channel, talk show, social media, written commentaries, and opinion articles.

Even atheist liberal “Real Time” host Bill Maher defended Butker’s right to profess his beliefs and points out the hypocrisy of the attacks. Maher said, “I can’t express how much this guy is not like me. He’s religious. He loves marriage. He loves kids… And he’s now history’s greatest monster . . . Again, I don’t agree with much with this guy, but he said… ‘Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world.’ Ok, that seems fairly, like, modern. ‘But I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.’ I don’t see what the big crime is. I really don’t . . . I find it very ironic that he’s saying, ‘You know what, in my world, you know, we like the women to stay at home and just have babies’ and the college kids and the young people find this absolutely abhorrent, but they’re demonstrating for Hamas, who make that the law! . . . It’s not just an opinion in Hamas, that you stay home and have the babies. They will enforce you [to do] that!”

Rob Schmitt Tonight on Newsmax did an entire opening monologue defending Butker, saying the critics expect us to just stay silent when we’re offended. If you speak up, you’re vilified. We’re supposed to be tolerant to forceful indoctrination.

Then Schmitt interviewed Christian Jason Whitlock who reiterated that culture has abandoned God. In the interview Schmitt admitted, “I’m not a particularly religious person, and I don’t really share that with many people. But I can see what’s happening to our society and I can see the general hedonism that we’ve moved towards, and I can see the decay. I can see the loss of the quality of life as we move more towards leftism. More towards where the state is the thing to be worshipped rather than something above. I can just feel the failings of that ideology. I don’t believe necessarily everything that he [Butker] said, I disagree with him on a number of points, but I would never be offended by what he said, and I would never stop him from saying them. There are people vilifying this man and when you listen to his speech, he’s just such a kind-hearted good person who cries talking about meeting his wife. Their anger is so interesting to me.”

Jason Whitlock’s response addressed Schmitt’s admitted lack of faith! “Rob, I appreciate the transparency and the honesty. I do think that as time continues to pass, I think you’re going to come more and more into the understanding of why religious faith is so important and why Christianity is so important.”

Whitlock was able to actually witness to Schmitt on TV and Schmitt was intensely listening. Hear the entire interview here.

I hope that Butker is overlooking the negative criticism, while smiling at how often his faith values are being spoken over the airways and written in words.

Could anyone speak their faith today and not be called offensive or divisive? Are the critics suggesting we should just stay silent when we’re offended? Butker believes, as do I, that the lack of faith in God and Jesus is largely responsible for the culture’s moral decline. Like many of us, he wasn’t afraid to say so. I applaud him!

Here’s what we can never forget—good will NEVER unite with evil. There’s no grey area. So, for those saying his speech was divisive, it wasn’t divisive to his Catholic audience. It was marching orders to take your faith into everything God calls you to do. The only people who call it divisive are those who are complacent and tolerant of evil. That would not, and should not, be Jesus followers. Jesus came into the world to forgive us our sins not to be tolerant, complacent, or accepting of sin.

Good can NEVER unite with evil. In today’s culture, everyone wants us to go along with evil, but we must speak up just as Butker did. Satan wants us to be quiet and let evil reign, but we must NEVER let that happen. Jesus had a dividing line. All Butker did was speak truth. Let’s pray more of us start following his example.

I think his Chief’s jersey #7 is prophetic! The number 7 holds profound biblical significance, symbolizing completion, perfection, and rest. It’s mentioned over 700 times in the Bible — more than any other number, indicating its significance in biblical narrative and prophecy. This number’s recurrence is no coincidence — in fact, it reflects divine order and the spiritual completeness found in God’s creation.

It looks like many people, especially women, are going to be wearing #7, since it’s reported that Harrison Butker’s jersey is the most popular in the NFL shop and women’s jerseys are sold out for now!

For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. Philippians 1:20 NLT

Don’t Lose HOPE for America

Sometimes we just need to hear some good news amongst the evil that fills the news cycle today. It’s almost as if God is creating a spiritual revival on some college campuses while others are full of destructive hate and violence. No greater evidence of the spiritual war we’re living through now is that while Israel fights for its survival, America retracts support as we experience a steady decline under the current administration.

What’s Happening to College Students Today?!

In last week’s blog, I wrote about the urgent need to protect women’s rights from Biden’s proposed unconstitutional changes to Title IX that would replace biological sex with gender identity allowing men to invade women’s sports. Some have asked, “Where are the feminists who are supposed to be protecting women’s rights? Why aren’t they objecting?”

One icon of feminism in the past, Phyllis Chesler, answered that question in an opinion article subtitled, Feminism is no longer interested in women’s rights, it focuses on identity rights where she wrote:

“Young American women are in precipitous free fall. When they are not agreeing to be “choked” during sex, opting for “lazy girl jobs” on TikTok, becoming stay-at-home girlfriends, raving about a Barbie doll movie, or dressing like Taylor Swift, they are out marching or sitting in for everything except women’s rights. 

“It is a sorry sight to behold: college-age American women committing civil disobedience on behalf of savagely misogynistic terrorist organizations; hypnotically joining in Muslim prayers on campus and happily donning hijab – even as Muslim women in Iran and Afghanistan are being jailed and even murdered for refusing to do so. There they are, these faux-feminists, speaking on panels and demonstrating for prison reform and against the police.

“Like the Democrat Party, they too are no longer interested in a sex-based Equal Rights amendment but in an amendment geared to Identity Rights. In their view, it is only “fair” that transwomen, (aka men), be allowed to compete with “cisgender” women (aka real women), in sports, occupy women-only jails, share locker rooms, showers and bathrooms with those who menstruate, get pregnant, give birth, breast-feed, experience menopause, etc.”  

Sadly, Chesler just described the indoctrinated and radicalized pro-terrorist female, and male, students on many college campuses today, ignorantly and complicitly manipulated by evil. We lament that they represent the future that could destroy our country if they don’t come to their senses soon.

Revival Is Congruently Taking Place!

At the same time these social atrocities are happening on some college campuses, revival is also happening on other college campuses. Hundreds responded to the gospel, gave their life to Christ, and were baptized this past March at the University of Alabama where thousands of students gathered. The spiritual awakening that we first saw last year at Asbury College shows no signs of slowing down.

Hundreds were also baptized at Auburn University last fall and Florida State University in February. Just two weeks ago, 8,000 students gathered on the campus of the University of Tennessee at a Unite US event geared toward GenZers that presents the Gospel message to students at different college campuses. At Unite US latest event in Thompson-Boiling Arena at Food City Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, 5000 students gathered with hundreds dedicating their lives to Christ and baptizing over 120 students outside the arena.

One church in Tampa recently baptized almost 1,000 people at the beach and The Church of Eleven22 baptized more than 1600 people on the shores of Hanna Park Beach in Jacksonville, Fl. last week. Praise God! “It doesn’t get much better than that,” said Pastor Joby Martin, founder and lead pastor of The Church of Eleven22, in a statement. “The church is alive and well, the Spirit of God is on the move, and the gospel of Jesus Christ is still changing lives as it has for thousands of years.”

On May 8, the 79th anniversary of the Nazis surrendering to the allies, Sean Feucht’s “Let Us Worship” ministry hosted an inter-faith “United for Israel Rally” at the University of Southern California (USC), one of the many universities plagued with anti-Israeli protestors calling for “Death to Israel” and “Death to America.” Instead of those hate-filled chants, Christian worship music filled the streets of Los Angeles as Christians, Jews, and Muslims chanted a different message: “Never Again!” and “Jewish Hate Must Go!”

This was a follow-up to a similar march and rally by Feucht in April at Columbia University in New York City, drawing 4500 attendees! Feucht told CBN News he believes the “United for Israel” rally can change “the entire environment” of what is taking place in the nation. “They come with darkness, violence, and hate. We come with unity, hope, and joy!”

“More than anything I feel like this gives hope to America,” Feucht said. “There are people that are going to rise up with courage and boldness, that are going to say, ‘Enough. We’re going to stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters; we’re going to respond to the command in Genesis 12 that says, ‘I’ll bless those who bless you. I’ll curse those that curse you.'”

And who can forget the opening picture of this blog where a dozen University of North Carolina frat brothers encountering protesters pelting them with insults and flying water bottles, stood their ground around the American flag and didn’t allow it to be taken down or touch the ground.

“These people wanted to tear down the flag, and we were there to protect it,” Pi Kappa Phi member Brendan Rosenblum said. “Me and my friends did not allow that to happen.”

The standoff began when pro-Palestinian protestors raised the Palestinian flag on the pole. UNC Chancellor Lee Roberts, accompanied by police officers, took it down and re-hung the U.S. flag, which was flying at half-staff in honor of the law enforcement officers killed in Charlotte.

When Roberts left and protesters tried again to take down the American flag, Rosenblum, some of his fraternity brothers, and other students stepped in. They surrounded the flagpole and kept the big flag from touching the ground. Rosenblum also held an Israeli flag.

“All of us felt that America, and the American flag — and for me, the Israeli flag — represent what we believe in,” he said.” And we weren’t going to let anyone stop us from keeping those two things up.”

Country music star John Rich commented: “When I saw the guys at UNC holding that flag up, making sure it did not hit the ground, it told me a lot about them.” Rich said it’s easy to watch TV the last few weeks and believe that every college student hates America, but the UNC fraternity brothers give him hope. “I hope that these guys inspire … young patriots across the country to do the exact same thing,” he said. 

At LSU and Ole Miss, Pro-America students outnumbered those calling for the death of Jews. I’ve also been encouraged, and yes hopeful, as I’ve heard some interviews of well-spoken college students who lament what’s happening on their campuses where non-protesting and Jewish students can’t even get to classes or the campus is closed entirely. Their disgust with the protesting students gives me hope that there are still good, smart, intelligent, moral, patriotic kids coming out of these colleges.

Sadly, many of the same students who missed high school graduation in 2020 because of school closers during COVID are going to miss their cherished college graduation canceled because of the violence that might take place from the students siding with ANTIFA, terrorists, and jihadists. It’s definitely not fair or right that all students should suffer because of a few misguided bad actors, but then isn’t that the reality of life. I hope that they’ll be stronger for it and want to make sure their generation doesn’t let it happen again.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Romans 5:3-5

Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) encourages us and gives hope that, “Against the backdrop of anti-Israel protests, violence, and death chants among colleges and universities recently, some GenZers are choosing instead to uplift Jesus Christ.”

This is what revival looks like.

In last week’s blog, For the Sake of the Girls, Stop the Craziness, I mentioned there was a collision of light and darkness and we’re watching this collision on college campuses today.

Don’t Lose Hope! God is Moving!

Even as anarchy takes place on some college campuses, there’s a spiritual awakening on other college campuses and even in some churches that God alone can take credit for, as we continue to intercede for the next generation and our nation.

Only God! Only Jesus!

We must do our part and leave the results to God!
