FlashPoint Where Faith Meets Current Events!

Today’s Monday Morning Blog is going to be a bit different. Dave and I had the opportunity to attend FlashPoint Live Boise March 12-13, 2026, and I’m going to share some of the highlights with you.

If you’re not familiar with FlashPoint, here’s a summary of their weeknight broadcast where host Gene Bailey always closes with: “We’re always to the right of center.”

What is FlashPoint?
This is where faith meets current events!

FlashPoint is a unique melting pot where we dive into the news, current events, and pressing political issues of our time with Christian politicians, pastors, business leaders, and influencers to press into what God is saying in this season.

The world and the church are in a new season, do you sense it? The call of Reformation has gone out! Our call is to speak the Biblical truth, pray, activate, and equip our viewers to affect culture for Jesus!

Listen to interviews, expert analysis and genuine conversations. Live Monday through Friday nights at 7 PM CT. FlashPoint goes where mainstream media and churches are often too afraid to go.

How to Watch Flashpoint
Dave and I watch FlashPoint nightly on the Victory Channel or YouTube. They’re also on Rumble or go here to learn of other broadcasting sources.

It isn’t a joke that much of mainstream media spouts nothing but Fake Anti-Trump news and sadly many gullible viewers believe their unverified, distorted, biased, liberal leaning lying commentaries. Even  FCC chair Brendan Carr warns broadcasters must ‘correct course’ on ‘news distortions’ before license renewals!

That’s why we get our news with the truth and a biblical perspective at FlashPoint.

We’re also looking forward to going to Israel with FlashPoint at the end of next month and I’m sure I’ll have much to report from there. Please pray for us as this trip is still going forward. For now, let me share some important points made during Flashpoint Live Boise.

Israel

Ezekiel 12 tells us that the devil hates God, His People and Israel. Podcasters like Tucker and Candace Owens are dipping into the occult as they speak against Israel.

The conflict in Ezekiel is a war of conquest, but there’s also hope of redemption because God Himself will awaken the earth.

–Trump is the Great Interrupter!

“Occupy Until He Comes” Luke 19:13

What you don’t occupy will be occupied against you!

–Example the Boy Scouts have been going “spiritually gay for a while.” They’re now offering Scouts an “Islamophobia Awareness Month Badge (IAM)” in collaboration with the Muslim Scout Fellowship. Scouts learn about Islam and connecting Scout and Islamic values!

–We’ve traded righteousness and truth for tolerance and apathy. We need to be less tolerant of evil and more direct and intolerant of sin like Jesus who was divisive!

Tolerance comes from Satan. Tolerance=acceptance=gottcha dominance.

Satan and his minions only attack what he’s afraid of which is why the enemy is going after children [I wrote about this last month The Devil Always Reveals What He’s Afraid Of]

–Demons attack the church wherever we’re tormenting them.

–Wherever there’s a spiritual vacuum, a demonic imposter rises up to fill the void. Education is a perfect example as students are being taught to hate America, each other, and the body God gave them. [I wrote about this last month too. Only Jesus Can Fill the Spiritual Vacuum!]

Pietism in the church says Christians are supposed to remain separate from culture. That’s not biblical. We’re to be in the world to make disciples, but not of the world. When we give up ground, Satan grabs it. We all have spiritual gifts. When we fail to use them to occupy for Christ, Satan steps in and takes ownership.

The spiritual battlefield is whatever your gifts are wherever your giftedness takes you! You have to disturb the peace of complacency. If you believe in something, you have to do the hard things even when it’s not popular.

The Democrats know that much of MAGA are Christians and 70% of Trump’s cabinet is Christian. They also know that 30% of Christians don’t vote because they’re fooled by pietism thinking it’s not our job to get involved we’ll be raptured anyway. The Bible doesn’t support Christians not taking ownership of the culture. [I wrote last week about the liberal left trying to promote a fake faith twisting the Bible to match their liberal ungodly platform. Christian beware! We’re Living in the Birth Pangs of the Endtimes]

Wherever hell has the most influence, the church must be involved. Go Ye into the culture to take territory for Christ. Like Moses had help holding up his arms while Joshua went into battle to claim territory, the church should be supporting those who are on the spiritual and political battlefield.

Don’t be preoccupied—occupy!

Age doesn’t restrict you from getting involved for the Lord. Wherever your passion is, God can use you. Maybe as an intercessor.

Islam

–We’re inviting wolves into our domain by not standing against Islam.

Democrats are embracing an unlikely partnership with Islam to block out Christians and their political influence.

–Another example: “Queers for Palestine” are opposing twin demonic spirits. They link up around their hate for God and the West with a mutual goal of destruction of Judeo/Christian values. That’s what draws two forces together that have nothing in common. In Palestine, the queers would be thrown off buildings and they still will be when Hamas is done with them.

Islam is incompatible with the West. It’s a death cult.

–We have no agreement with Muslims.

A reply to the “islamophobia” argument you might receive: “In America we have Christian freedom. Name an Islamic country where we could go and practice Christianity?”

A reply to you’re supposed to love your neighbor: “There’s nothing in the Bible that says we’re to tolerate sin or evil that subverts the public good.”

A reply to you’re intolerant and not accepting: “There is only One God and the 10 Commandments tell us to have no other gods but our God.

How do we say no to today’s culture? We refuse to tolerate ideologies that oppress Christianity. Islam is a political oppressive ideology masquerading as a religion to take advantage of “religious freedom” in America. What if MS13 says it’s a religion? Would you say we have to honor it as a religion?

–Is there any Muslim nation people are trying to get into?

–Why Not Sharia Law? (A FlashPoint digital free download)

Iran

Trump is the providential leader raised up by God to take down tyrannical rule in Iran.

–The Lord will march forth like a mighty hero;
he will come out like a warrior, full of fury.
He will shout his battle cry
and crush all his enemies. Isaiah 42:13 NLT

We’re in a season of fear vs faith.

Christians need to focus on what God is doing NOT Satan.

Cowards are the first people thrown into the lake of fire in Revelation 21:8.

Fear comes from lies.

Trump is our era’s Elijah as he calls out false prophets of the lying fake news, which tries to invoke fear. The devil dominates through fear.

Keep America Great By Keeping It Good and Godly!

As the dark gets darker, the light gets lighter (2 Tim. 3)

–Jesus’ kingdom is here on earth with Christians who are occupying now. The closer Jesus gets to earth, He’s invading Satan’s darkness which pushes Satan closer near his end.

Be expectant! Heaven’s closer than it’s ever been!

Learn how to say “Yes” to saying, “No” to anything that goes against the sovereignty of God and America. As Americans, we accept no other gods but God, and no other rules and laws of other countries here in America.

–We say “No” to our kids doing harmful or wrong things because we love them.

We must learn how to say “No” to anything that offends God or threatens America!

If you haven’t read last week’s blog, I hope you’ll read it now.

Christ or Chaos: The Choice Is Yours!

We’re at a crossroads in America today. Will we choose the lawful Truth of the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ and His Word, or the chaotic unlawful lies and demonic deception of the father of lies, Satan?! Thanks to social media and cell phones, we’re watching people’s choices play out in real time. Many people are willfully choosing satanic chaos even to the point of protesting against those who choose Christ, His ways, and His will for how we should live as citizens of this world.

By now, you’ve seen the videos of Black Lives Matter Marxists terrorizing worshipers during Sunday morning worship service at Cities Church in St Paul, Minnesota. You could watch it because fired CNN podcaster Don Lemon conspired with rioters to film the entire chaotic storming of the church. Lemon foolishly posted himself outside the church having donuts and coffee as the activists gathered to strategize their attack. He kissed the cheek of far-left Marxist agitator, Nekima Levy Armstrong who has since been arrested, and mentioned he had her on his podcast a few days prior where she probably told him her plans to invade the church, which is why he just “happened” to be there filming the entire travesty.

Interviewing her outside the church, Armstrong told Lemon they intermingled white protesters with black so it wouldn’t look like a black gang invading a mostly white church. She said they choose “unsuspecting targets” for the element of surprise.

They chose this church because they thought one of the pastors was working with ICE. Exactly, what does that have to do with BLM you might ask? Nothing! It’s simply an opportunity to create chaos. An excuse to attack Christians.

Some of the rioters planted themselves inside the church then jumped up when their cohorts ran through the doors yelling, screaming expletives, calling the parishioners white supremacists, Nazis, and unworthy Christians. The rioters blocked the stairs prohibiting parents from getting their children from Sunday school. Children were crying as families rushed out to their cars where antagonists followed berating the terrified children that their parents were going to burn in Hell as they surrounded their cars. One woman fled for safety out the backdoor of the church and broke her arm.

During all of this chaos, Don Lemon stuck a microphone in Lead Pastor Jonathan Parnell’s face who asked Lemon repeatedly to leave and told him, “This is shameful. We’re here to worship. We’re here to worship Jesus, because that’s the hope of these cities. That’s the hope of the world is Jesus Christ.”

Not deterred, Lemon continued deliriously chastising the pastor. Lemon maintained the terrorists had a “first amendment” right to be there and that he himself was a “Christian”?!  Lemon later tried to turn this travesty into a “racist” incident slandering the worshippers as “white supremacists” for gathering in church on a Sunday morning to worship Jesus!

Satan is Normalizing Chaos!

A headline as I write this blog reads “Minnesota Chaos.” Another headline screams “Chaos in the streets.”  Yet another, “Chaos on Court” where a middle school basketball game in Kentucky turned into a chaotic brawl with parents joining in as the announcer casually announced “They just tased Ryan,” like he was calling a play in the kids game!

An ICE agent told a group of chaotic Minneapolis screaming whistling agitators, “You’re trying to stop us from arresting a child molester! What’s wrong with you people?” That’s a good question. One protester said she was a mother of eight. She doesn’t want murderers and child molesters arrested to make Minneapolis safer for her children!?

When I watch these agitators literally acting like crazy people, I’m reminded of how the Bible describes someone possessed by a demon. Doesn’t Luke 9:39 describe the protesters you’re watching prohibit law enforcement from protecting their communities.

An evil spirit keeps seizing him, making him scream. It throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It batters him and hardly ever leaves him alone. Luke 9:39 (I literally saw a woman protester foaming at the mouth)

Videos of agitators and rioters are one long bleep covering their vile profanity. The “F” bomb has become their most frequently spewed obscenity, which godly Jesus-followers wouldn’t or shouldn’t ever use, so that’s the first clue Satan is influencing them.

There are only two spiritual realms in the world. You’re either Holy Spirit filled or demonic spirit filled.

If you’re not walking with Jesus, you’re walking with the devil. There is no in between!

The Bible refers to Christians as “children of God.”

  • John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
  • Galatians 3:26 “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.”
  • Romans 8:16 “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”
  • 2 Corinthians 6:18 “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Satan also has children!

There’s a clear distinction between the children of God and the children of the devil.

  •  1 John 3:10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.
  • 1 John 3:8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil.
  • John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Just as Christians have the Holy Spirit guiding us, demonic spirits guide those who reject Christ. They forfeit discernment and become easily deceived.

The term “demon possession” in Scripture describes a spiritual reality in which an individual is under the control of a demonic being suggesting oppression or direct indwelling by an evil spirit, resulting in physical, mental, and spiritual distress. They often yell and scream much like you’re watching people in the streets of Minneapolis. Or if you’ve heard William Kelly, a perpetual agitator showing up at many riots in other states and was arrested along with Nekima Levy Armstrong and Chauntyll Louisa Allen for their roles in storming Cities Church. Kelly’s profane viral posts sound like these Scriptures.

That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. Matt 8:16

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, saying, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him! Mark 1:23-26

When evening came, after the sun had set, they began bringing to Him all who were ill and those who were demon-possessed. Mark 1:32

When He got out of the boat, immediately a man from the tombs with an unclean spirit met Him, and he had his dwelling among the tombs. And no one was able to bind him anymore, even with a chain; Whenever he was put into chains and shackles—as he often was—he snapped the chains from his wrists and smashed the shackles. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Day and night he wandered among the burial caves and in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones. Mark 5:2-5 [Think of the people wrestling with and resisting ICE]

Without Christ, Satan Creates Chaos!

We’re living in a world where rampant deception fueled by the liberal biased media fills the airways with lies. Liberal media hates Donald Trump and anyone who supports him, so they have deceived themselves into believing that nothing is too devious or evil to present Trump in a nefarious light and by association all conservatives and Republicans. Trump Derangement Syndrome isn’t a joke; it’s real. I believe Satan created TDS and uses it effectively to deceive people not grounded in the truth and discernment of Jesus Christ.

As an example, this past week there was a story of a 5-year-old boy pictured with ICE agents. Immediately the fake news ran with a story that was full of lies and no facts. They cried into the screen that ICE was now arresting innocent 5 year-olds or using them as bate, as they showed the picture of the young boy with his cute cap getting into an ICE car.

Truth: ICE tried to apprehend the little boy’s father who used his son as a decoy and took off running abandoning his son. ICE tried to return the boy to his mom. She refused to open the door and let him come back inside the house. ICE took care of the boy, getting him food until he was reunited with his father.

But because the lying media never retracted their original false heart-wrenching story, anyone who only watches lame stream media never discovered the truth and most people don’t take the time to research before they react.

As I’m writing today a protester with a loaded gun and 2 full magazines of bullets accosted ICE agents who were trying to arrest a criminal. The protester physically interfered with ICE and was shot. The criminal escaped. Gov. Walz and Mayor Frey’s press conference gave the impression the protester was unarmed and the media reported that lie. I saw some Minnesota Christians berating ICE for “killing an unarmed man” because they hadn’t done their homework before posting. That’s how the devil uses deception to even fool Christians if we’re not relying on the Holy Spirit to guide us before we speak and act.

A good friend of mine posted this truth on Facebook:

“Many are asking… How can they not see what seems obvious. Their minds have been governed by lies that they choose to believe.

Both sides will see the above statement and agree with an astounding, YES!!

But how is one to know if their heart has deceived them? Who is right?

We are a world that trusts our emotions and feelings and that becomes our truth. But the Lord warns us “Our heart above all things is deceitful, who could know it?”

Proverbs 4:19 The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know what makes them stumble.

Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, Lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Whatever path you choose be careful it’s the path of truth and not emotions. The days are just going to get more and more deceitful and if we follow our hearts, we are sure to be deceived. Jesus is the truth! Guard your mind with truth!”

I couldn’t agree more!

Christ or Chaos?

The Rev. Joe Rigney, who lived in Minnesota for 18 years and helped plant Cities Church in St. Paul, now serves as associate pastor at a church in Moscow, Idaho. Rigney urged Christians to continue proclaiming the Gospel amid what he discerns as an escalating cultural hostility in the United States, leaving “Christ or chaos” as the only two options.

Rigney said there’s “escalating violence on the Left of normal Christian people, and I just want to underscore that piece of it.” He noted that, “This [Cities Church] is not a political church. These are normal, Bible-believing Evangelicals, their mission is worshiping Jesus, loving one another and seeking the good of the Twin Cities.”

Rigney went on to observe “there’s a deep sickness in our culture some in government authority are encouraging and only Jesus can fix.

“They’re terrorizing normal, law-abiding citizens, and then they’re encouraging the lawless and the lawbreakers,” he said of government officials who refuse to punish evildoers. “And because of that, it’s bubbling up. It’s bubbling over, and it’s tragic. It really is tragic. And the only way out is for people to turn from their sins and to turn back to Christ. That’s the only hope this nation has. That’s the only hope for any of us.”

“When you think about the last 20 years and the escalating collisions we’ve seen in our country — about say, sex, sexuality, and people being harassed just because they won’t make a cake or because they won’t do flowers for a gay wedding — and you see that kind of escalating collision as Christians just try to live faithful lives,” Rigney said.

“The lawlessness spreads, and now it doesn’t matter if you’re a leader or not. It doesn’t matter if you’re prominent or not. You could just be what normal people going to church on a Sunday in an American town, and now you’re going to be harassed and intimidated,” he continued, but exhorted Christians “to keep preaching the Gospel, just like the early church.”

I agree with Rev. Rigney. Christians must always be actively fighting off the influence of the devil. We cannot let our guard down as we watch the fall of pillars in the church who thought they were invincible, like Christian author of What’s So Amazing About Grace Philip Yancy, who recently admitted to having an affair with a married woman for eight years! The devil can take down anyone who isn’t following 1 Peter 5:8-9.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Ephesians 6:10-12 reminds us our battle is not against fellow humans, but against the devil.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Saving Women’s Rights and Sports!

I’m reading Charlie Kirk’s last book published posthumously, Stop in the Name of God. The first chapter is titled Genesis 1:1 with the opening Scripture, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” You might think that’s elementary since most Christians know this verse, or should, but Charlie devoted the opening of his book to reaffirming this fact. Sometimes, even Christians need to go back to the basics of the creation story, including how God in Genesis chapter 2 created a man and a woman as unique and separate individuals.
Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Gen. 2:7

But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[b] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[c] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. Gen. 2:20-22

Since the beginning of time, the physical distinctiveness of male and female has been an established biological, scientific, and biblical fact established at conception and revealed at birth until science invented ultrasound to determine sex in the womb during pregnancy and gender reveals became the rage.

When I was pregnant, the ultimate surprise was in the delivery room when the doctor announced to a panting exhausted new mother that she had just given birth to a boy or girl. That might seem archaic to some now, but other moms will remember with me how we waited with great anticipation to learn the sex of our new baby. While anticipating the birth of our baby, we decorated with neutral colors and enjoyed the birth gifts when friends and family learned whether we needed pink or blue baby clothes.

I’ll admit though that ultrasounds have been used to save many babies lives as the expectant mother sees her baby is a real little person developing in her tummy with fingers, toes, arms, legs, eyes, ears, a nose, and mouth. So even though God’s sex reveal at birth is outdated now, the redeeming value is more babies born. Praise God!

However, sci-fi wasn’t satisfied with knowing pre-birth sex, they started trying to play God by altering the foundations of humanity. First psychologically. Then ideologically. Ultimately physiologically. The medical community who take the Hippocratic Oath to preserve life decided they could dabble in genetics and try to distort and transform men into women and women into men, while originating a new term “trans.”

But no amount of chemicals, drugs, hormones, surgeries, or brainwashing will ever alter or transform a person’s DNA, chromosomes, muscle, body and bone structure that God created for every individual within their mother’s womb. The heretical, immoral, unethical, evil people in the scientific, psychological, and medical field making trillions of dollars with patients for life will never replace God, but God will judge them.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Ps. 139:13-14

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Matt. 18:6

Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness. Pr. 14:22

The vocal rainbow coalition activists combined with the abuse of modern medicine to create, deceive, and foster genetic confusion and bodily castration and mutilation with the fallacy that just wanting to identify as a different sex is achievable. It’s not! Unethical psychologists and physicians saw this as the cash cow that it is and political lobbyists for the homosexual community created a cult where schoolteachers were forced to use the language of a world gone mad.

The downfall into denouncing God and the Bible started with the legalization of same-sex marriage under the Obama Administration. It’s become diabolically degenerating since then with rampant pedophilia, child sex trafficking, men in women’s bathrooms, spas, dressing rooms, locker rooms, private areas, and sports. Even conjuring up terms like “furries” “trans” and “cis-woman.” The confirmation of Supreme Court justices like Ketanji Brown Jackson who can’t define a woman, even though she is a woman herself is insanity! [The Bizarre World of Ketanji Brown Jackson by Everett Piper]

Or recently, when Senator Josh Hawley asked OB-GYN Dr. Nisha Verma, a woman, for a simple yes or no if men could get pregnant, she wouldn’t answer! More insanity!

Coming off Obama’s disastrous years, coaches and school administrators fearing cancel-culture refused to protect girls and keep men out of women’s sports. Parents were often rebuffed if they complained, even when their daughters were forced to room with men on travels. The girls who were brave enough to protest were shamed, silenced, and told they had to acquiesce to men playing on women’s teams if they wanted to play sports. But one by one, especially after swimmer Riley Gaines lost her trophy to a man who she tied because the political optics were better for him to be in first place, girls started speaking out.

The liberal left and Democrats have made this a political issue and tried to cancel or fire anyone who wouldn’t go along with trying to eliminate God from His creation by allowing men to be publically recognized and treated as women. There’s no such thing as a “transgender woman or man.” God only creates men and women!

Currently a Democrat man is masquerading as a woman in Congress and in Idaho one is running for governor! Sadly, even some churches decided to become more culturally and “socially” correct than biblically correct, which would require eliminating most of the Bible starting with Genesis 1:1.

Saving Women’s Rights and Sports

Title IX was passed in 1972 to insure equal opportunities for women in sports. But over the last decade, men have invaded women’s sports as fake gender ideology has seared consciences and culture. Title IX was passed because men and women are different. The Biden Administration tried to alter Title IX’s definition of sex to include gender identity but it didn’t pass. Still most blue states deny women their Title IX rights.

Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 1 Tim. 4:2

Idaho and West Virginia established laws protecting women in sports in their states. The Supreme Court heard two cases last week involving men suing to play in women’s sports in these two states. Girls had their day in court!

I’m proud to say that Idaho, where we’ve lived for almost fifteen years, was the first state to take legal action to protect our girls in sports in March 2020 by passing House Bill 500 “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act” implementing the nation’s first transgender policy barring trans female athletes from playing on women’s sports teams. West Virginia then passed a similar law. Alliance Defending Freedom’s (ADF) helped draft those bills, as did the Idaho Family Policy Center in Idaho.

Male students “identifying as women” challenged the state’s laws and the ACLU represented them. Idaho and West Virginia appealed to the Supreme Court, which accepted both cases. SCOTUS usually doesn’t take on two similar cases, but because they each bring up different issues, one against the Constitution and one against Title IX, SCOTUS heard both in the same day.

Since President Trump signed an executive order specifically restricting federal funds to schools that allow males to compete on women’s teams under Title IX, 32 states have passed laws to protect women in sports. Despite the majority of states now banning men from women’s athletics, 18 states still allow males who claim transgender status to compete on women’s sports teams, posing a risk to the safety and fairness of female athletes.

I encourage you to listen to this short interview Defending Biblical Truth in Women’s Sports, with ADF’s Kate Anderson and Fearless’ Cissie Graham Lynch, Franklin Graham’s daughter.

SCOTUS Showdown: ACLU lawyer stumped by basic biology

During the Supreme Court hearing arguments on the Idaho and West VA cases, Justice Alito asked ACLU a simple question: “What is a man? What is a woman?”

Their answer? “We don’t have a definition.”

Yes, you read that correctly. This was the definition debate heard around the world.

If the so-called guardians of “civil rights” can’t even define sex, how can they claim to defend it? This is the collapse of common sense, live in the highest court of the land.

It was hard to hear some of the judges like Amy Coney Barrett using non-terms like “trans women” and “cis women” instead of men and women. I’m sure she would call herself a woman, not a cis woman! Men pretending to be women are not “trans” or “women.” They’re mentally disturbed men, have a fetish, or can’t excel in men’s sports so they want to eviscerate women. Whatever their reasons, it’s wrong and not normal, legal, moral, or biblical!

Testosterone levels do NOT determine, define, or erase biological sex, bone and muscle structure, strength, or DNA, which is what the opposing side was trying to argue to SCOTUS. Listening to the side who can’t define a man or a woman was pathetic. Women are more than hormone levels!

It was also disappointing to have so much time given to the “feelings” and “fairness” of men being excluded from women’s sports. Identifying as a woman does NOT make a man a woman. There should’ve been more discussion given to the feelings and fairness to women who lose scholarships, scholastic and career opportunities, trophies, medals, not to mention being exposed to lewd voyeur men who still have all their male parts in locker rooms, showers, and private areas. In what world is that fair or safe for women?!

Let me mention also that even though Governor of California Newsom has admitted in interviews with both Charlie Kirk and Ben Schapiro that men in women’s sports isn’t fair and he can see the other side, I’ve read his excuse for allowing men in women’s sports in his state is because he has a “trans godson.” Just because our child, grandchild, or godchild chooses an alternate lifestyle doesn’t make it okay to inflict it on others. Enabling a confused child instead of engaging mental help for them does more harm than good.

In last week’s blog, Respect and Appreciate the Men and Women Who Keep Us Safe by Enforcing the Law, I introduced you to Janet Elaine Parks. I hope some of you started following her on social media. Here are some of her remarks last week about SCOTUS hearing the women’s rights cases.

Protecting Women’s Rights (Because Women’s Spaces Should Stay Female)

This is one that the left loves to weaponize… But conservatives are not “anti-anyone” for saying a basic truth:

Men are men. Women are women.

And women deserve:

  • private spaces
  • fair competition
  • basic safety protections

This administration supports keeping biological men out of women’s sports, bathrooms, locker rooms, and private spaces.

  • That isn’t hateful.
  • That’s reality.
  • And pretending biology doesn’t exist doesn’t make society “inclusive”…
  • It makes women pay the price.

Women fought for decades to earn:

✅fair sports opportunities

✅safe boundaries

✅sex-based protections

And now the left is trying to erase those protections by calling women “bigots” for wanting what we already had: A protected category called WOMEN.

Bodies Play Sports, Not Identities

In the opening picture of this blog, former champion gymnast Jennifer Sey, a seven-time member of the United States women’s national artistic gymnastics team and the 1986 U.S. All-Around National Champion founder of the XX-XY Athletics brand, is sounding the alarm arguing women’s sports are for women and warning that “identity affirmation” is replacing fairness and safety. I encourage you to read more of her comments here.  http://dlvr.it/TQP5Py

I want to thank Idaho for defending women not just in our state, but going all the way to the Supreme Court to protect women in every state for our daughters and granddaughters in the future.

Pray SCOTUS stands by biological women’s rights, protection, dignity, and recognition that mentally challenged men cannot challenge women in sports or erase womanhood. Pray for wisdom and discernment as the justices deliberate. The cases before SCOTUS last week are not just about isolated incidents in two states. The justices’ decision will shape how our girls are able to do what they love—and feel safe doing so—for generations to come.

This is not a political issue. It’s a Genesis issue and comes down to the biblical definition of God creating us male and female. Together let’s stand fearlessly for what’s right. Let’s pray the Supreme Court determines that girls are girls and boys can’t become girls in Idaho, West Virginia, or any state in America!!!

An article to read. We Were College Athletes Supreme Court Must Listen to Our Case and Save Women’s Sports written by two female college athletes from Idaho, Madison Kenyon and Marky Kate Marshall, defendants in the Idaho case heard by SCOTUS last week. Here’s their opening and I encourage you to read the rest of the article from girls who have experienced the heartbreak of having men in women’s sports and taking over 890 medals from female athletes.
“Imagine if the U.S. Supreme Court was asked to rule on whether the law of gravity still applies, even in these early years of the 21st century. After all, some people are uncomfortable with their size. They feel sluggish and weighed down by that pull from the Earth. Why shouldn’t they just be able to ignore gravity and float along as easily as they please? Why should any law of nature be allowed to constrain how light and thin someone feels inside? If that sounds ridiculous to you, imagine how female athletes have felt in recent years, having to compete against males just because they’ve been told that feeling like a woman can make them so.”

Why Is It a Sin Not to Vote?

Did the title of this blog get your attention? I hope so because the statistics of Christians who don’t vote in elections frankly is pathetic. I’m going to say what many pastors are afraid to say, it’s sinful.

God gave us the opportunity in America to choose our government leaders from the school board and local officials to the President of the United States. Yes, God gave that right to every citizen and our founding fathers underscored that based on God’s guidance scripturally.

However, according to research, only 51% of Christians vote even in Presidential elections and even less during midterms and off-season years like the 2025 elections. Does that shock you like it does me? Well, this should shock you even more . . . 93% of the LGBTQ population get out and vote!

It’s tragic to read those statistics. Christians aren’t only the largest voting bloc, we’re the laziest and most apathetic when it comes to actually voting. It’s a sin when we could make a biblical difference in our world and we abdicate that responsibility to secular voters.

Christians wonder why they’re losing the battle of good versus evil and yet they sit out opportunities to win for righteousness. The Bible tells us that knowing the right thing to do and choosing not to do it is a sin.

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. James 4:17 NIV
Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it. James 4:17 NLT

Sin is something few pastors are willing to address, not to mention when it applies to voting and politics, which I wrote about in my blog last week. I encourage you to read it if you haven’t yet. What Are You Willing to Sacrifice for Your Beliefs?

The results of research reveal that large numbers of Christian churches have distanced themselves from elections, refusing to even encourage congregants to vote and they avoid teachings related to many of the key social issues on which an election may hinge. I call that abandoning the flock to the wolves of the world when so many Scriptures guide us in how to vote.

Think of the horrible liberal woke agenda that could’ve been avoided affecting our children. Gender confusion. Sexual mutilation. School sexual and anti-American indoctrination. Trans/drag cults. Men in women’s sports. High crime rates. Child trafficking. Murdering babies in the womb and so many more atrocities that could’ve been prevented if Christians had voted for moral government officials and ballot issues.

Here’s an interesting comment from an article in Outreach Magazine on a Study: A Surprising Number of Christians Say They Aren’t Voting: “I see two huge take-aways from this blockbuster report,” said Len Munsil, president of Arizona Christian University. “First, that Christians could be the deciding factor in a bunch of federal and state races and are choosing not to be. And second, that they are longing for their local church to instruct them on how to think biblically about policy and politics. They don’t want to be told how to vote, but they do want to know why they should vote, and how to view political issues from a biblical framework.

The research pinpointed several reasons why Christians are stepping away from the voting booth:

  • 68% lack interest in politics and elections
  • 57% dislike all major candidates
  • 55% feel none of the candidates reflect their most important views
  • 52% believe their vote will not make a difference
  • 48% think the election results will be manipulated

Interestingly, the data shows that if their church taught that voting is a biblical responsibility, one out of six likely non-voters would reconsider.

A Biblical Citizenship Guide to Voting!

It’s true you’ll always be voting for the lesser of two evils because Jesus isn’t on the ballot so that excuse is inexcusable. Christians have an obligation to be stewards of our American rights and voting is one of those important rights.

I want to share with you part of a devotional from The Idaho Family Policy Center.

“In a Boston Gazette newspaper essay, founding father Samuel Adams reminded Americans of their sacred duty when voting: ‘Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.’

Thankfully, the Bible speaks of all of life–and God does not leave us without instruction on how we ought to approach the ballot booth. Instead of relying upon our own subjective preferences as we cast our votes, Christians should choose civil leaders based on the qualifications God sets forth in his Word:

Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness. (Ex. 18:21)

Notice the four characteristics in Exodus 18:21 that believers are directed to consider before supporting a candidate:

  • First, government officials should be able men who are capable of fulfilling the responsibilities of the office they are seeking;
  • Second, government officials should fear God in both their public and private affairs;
  • Third, government officials should be men of truth who walk in integrity, and
  • Fourth government officials should display a commitment to hating covetousness, guarding themselves against corruption as they promote biblical justice and the common good.”

(Of course, these same biblical principles apply to women running for office.)

The Idaho Family Policy Center has created a scripturally based Biblical Citizenship Guide to Voting applicable to any Christian in any state. I encourage you to go to the link and read it. Here’s the introduction.

“The most prominent evangelist of the Second Great Awakening, Rev. Charles Finney (1792 – 1875), reminded Christians of their responsibility to “take the right ground in regard to politics” by voting the Bible: God cannot sustain this free and blessed country, which we love and pray for, unless the church will take right ground.

Politics are a part of religion in such a country as this, and Christians must do their duty to the country as a part of their duty to God. It seems sometimes as if the foundations of the nation were becoming rotten, and Christians seem to act as if they thought God did not see what they do in politics. But I tell you, he does see it, and he will bless or curse this nation according to the course they take.

The Bible describes Christians as “salt” and “light” who preserve those things that are good while shining the light of God’s truth into every sphere of life. This includes the political realm, where Christians are called to exert a righteous influence on government. As citizens of our constitutional republic, we have the power to elect leaders who will pursue policies that have an impact on the lives of those in our families and our neighbors. Let’s make sure we do our homework and vote for candidates that will govern according to God’s principles!”

The headings in the guide are:

Voting: A Biblical Responsibility:

  • Christian Voting Glorifies God
  • Voting in the Bible

How Should I Vote?

  • 4 Biblical Qualifications for Public Officials

Again, this is a Biblical Citizenship Guide to Voting comprised by the Idaho Family Policy Center, but not just written for Idaho Christians; it’s written to every American Christian citizen.

November 4, 2025 Election

Crucial elections are taking place this election year. The governorships in New Jersey and Virginia could change those states to solid conservative red or liberal woke blue. Virginia Christians could make a huge difference in the values in their state by voting for Christian Winsome Earle-Sears who will maintain the executive orders of the current governor to protect unborn babies and prevent sexual indoctrination and surgical mutilation of children while honoring parents’ rights to know what their children are being taught in school. Her Democrat opponent has promised to undo all the good done by Governor Glenn Youngkin. You don’t have to do much research there to know how to vote biblical values.

Same in New Jersey where the Democrat candidate, who has many personal ethics issues she’s refused to address, vows to inflict the entire liberal woke green new deal scam on the state and LGBTQ curriculum in schools.

In New York City, an Islamist Communist could become the mayor of the financial center of America and the world. There is a Republican conservative running, but all the polls show the Communist winning! How did the voters of this great city let this happen at Ground Zero? Did they forget what happened on 911 or has the next generation not been told?!

Instead of another physical devastating attack on this great city, the enemy is working from within politically. A new generation that didn’t experience 911 is falling for the inevitable promise of free stuff that is never free. If you say anything against this nominee, they accuse you of Islamophobia. No, we’re free American Christian citizens and we want to stay that way. We don’t want to be governed by Communist Islamists who hate America even though they benefit greatly from living here.

Or in Minneapolis, a Somalian who campaigns in his native language, not English, is running for mayor.

Prop 50 is on the ballot in California and if it passes, Governor Newsom will redistrict to eliminate Republican representation in that state! It’s a strong “NO” on 50 if conservatives want to have any voice in California ever again.

When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan. Pr. 29:2 NLT

I don’t live in any of those states, but I listen to what’s going on in the public square. Those elections, and the thousands in other states, could greatly affect the midterms and whether President Trump will be able to make the needed changes we voted for not only in the United States but also in global relations.

While many Christians fail to vote, there seems to be a general malaise about taking responsibility as citizens. There are only two items on the ballot in my hometown of Garden Valley, Idaho and both are tax levies. Not too exciting for an off-year election you might think but one is for the school district and one for the volunteer fire department and EMTs. There’s been much back and forth on social media about the pros and cons of each one, but I was interested to see someone post the following statistic.

“In 2022, for the last school levy, only 292 votes were casts. 234 were from Garden Valley, the rest were from Lowman. Garden Valley had 1812 registered voters, but only 12.9% voted.” For this year: “The school levy requires a simple majority to pass (50% +1 vote). The fire department levy will require a super majority to pass (66.7%). These are two very important issues that should not be left to a few to decide.”

Exactly what I’ve been saying in this blog. Why would we as Christians want to let a few decide our fate when Christians could be the most impactful voting bloc in America . . . when we vote!!!

“One of the most effective ways for Christians to exert a godly influence in their communities is through exercising their biblical responsibility to vote. Christians are uniquely equipped to judge candidates and policy proposals according to the universally true and unchanging principles given to us by God in His Word.” Biblical Citizenship Guide to Voting

Do your research, pray for God’s wisdom and guidance, and go vote on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, and every voting opportunity you have in your lifetime. It’s a biblical mandate and right as American citizens.

Who Will Mentor the Next Generation after Charlie Kirk?

As we continue to read stories about our brother-in-Christ Charlie Kirk, whose ministry, purpose, and calling was to reach the next generation for Jesus and biblical conservative values, we hear and read the word “mentor” repeatedly. Charlie relished and benefited from being mentored by many godly wise older men who were further along in their walk with Christ. These men saw the potential in Charlie and many of them referred to him as a son, which reminds me of the apostle Paul who mentored young Timothy like a spiritual father.

I won’t list all the men and pastors who mentored Charlie for fear of missing one, but one of the first was Pastor Rob McCoy who met Charlie when he was starting the Turning Point movement and encouraged him to be bold about his faith. Pastor Rob, who Charlie called “his Pastor,” gave the opening message and eulogy at Charlie’s memorial. His son Mikey is the Chief of Staff at Turning Point USA and also shared a tribute to his friend, mentor, and boss Charlie, as did many of the TPUSA staff.

Pastor Jack Hibbs also mentored Charlie, and Christian author and apologist Frank Turek was with Charlie when he was shot. Frank said he’d been mentoring Charlie, who he described as his fourth son, in answering the tough questions Charlie would receive during his “Prove Me Wrong” debates on college campuses. Charlie had asked Frank to accompany him to the Utah event to help him sharpen his responses. Iron sharpening iron.

Listen here to Turek recounting that horrible trip to the hospital with Charlie, which he tells in more detail than he did at the memorial. Have a Kleenex handy.

Charlie didn’t just receive mentoring, he did what we should all do, he passed on to others what he had learned from his mentors. I sign my book Mentoring for All Seasons with “Find a mentor, be a mentor.” That’s exactly what Charlie did. I’ve been following a young political influencer, Brilyn Hollyhand, for a number of years. He’s now 19 and shares how Charlie took the time to take him seriously and mentor him when Brilyn was only eleven years old!

Hollyhand says Kirk was one of his closest friends in politics, calling him a mentor. He said the two met while Hollyhand, then 11 and in the fourth grade in Tuscaloosa, was starting up a podcast. “He didn’t have to make time for me as an 11-year-old with this podcast in the fourth grade, but he did,” Hollyhand, an Auburn University freshman, said.

“He [Kirk] helped me get my start in politics. He didn’t have to but he did and he always cheered me on,” Hollyhand tweeted. You can hear Brilyn’s tribute to Charlie and their mentoring relationship scrolling down here in this article. Like Charlie, Brilyn is mature beyond his age. Hollyhand is a frequent speaker and often on FOX News and Flashpoint, and he’s planning a 10-stop campus tour to carry on Charlie’s legacy! I just read that TPUSA is collaborating with Brilyn in this tour.

Charlie also mentored C.J. Pearson, a 22-year-old political strategist and national co-chair of the RNC Youth Advisory Council named as one of the 2025 Time100 Creators. Pearson, like Hollyhand, began his political work at a young age blogging at age 8 and knew Charlie since he was twelve.

These are just two examples of Charlie taking time out of his insanely busy schedule to pour into young men. Charlie’s heart was with the youth and now we’re watching thousands upon thousands of young people being impacted by his tragic death. Stories of teens saying they’re going out and buying a Bible and they’re not even sure why. We know why. It’s the Holy Spirit prompting the outpouring of love and tribute not only in America but in other countries too.

My question: Who will mentor all these young people? They’ve been touched by Charlie’s life and death and responding to the Holy Spirit, but just like Charlie, Brilyn, C.J., you, and me the Bible tells us clearly that one generation is to teach and train the next generation, just as mentors taught us.

I pray our churches start mentoring ministries or at best encourage their congregants to look for young people to be a Charlie in their life. Last week, I shared how my 19-year-old granddaughter, Katelyn, said of Erika Kirk, “She’s truly an incredible and strong woman and 100% the type of woman I want to be.” Erika will be a godly role model for all young women.

Many pastors are seeing that Charlie’s tragic death is inspiring a renewed interest in faith among young people that we’re watching grow. It’s a revival of the sense of value in truth and conviction bringing faith back into the public square where our founders meant for it to be from the beginning of our country.

Who will keep that spiritual fire burning that the enemy tried to snuff out? I pray it’s you and me!

Mentoring is passing on wisdom: “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Tim. 2:2

Mentoring is setting an example: “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned…” Titus 2:7-8

Mentoring is learning through imitation: “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” Phil. 4:9

Mentoring is iron sharpening iron: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Pr. 27:17

Mentoring is good advice: “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisors.” Pr. 11:14

Mentoring is The Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” Matt. 28:19-20

Mentoring is sharing wisdom: “Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?” Job 12:12

Mentoring is one generation sharing with the next: “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” Ps. 145:4

No More Gaslighting

Before I close, I want to address the Jimmy Kimmel fallout. I hope you read last week’s Monday Morning Blog. If you didn’t, you can read it here How “They” Killed Charlie Kirk. In it, I mentioned that the late-night unfunny hosts were part of the “they” who killed Charlie, and Jimmy Kimmel underscored that truth the Monday night after Charlie’s murder when he tried to characterize the radicalized left-wing, Kirk-hating murderer as part of the “MAGA gang.”

Kimmel hit an all-time Trump Derangement Syndrome low by trying to gaslight the audience when everyone knew by then that it was an outright intentional lie.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said.

Kimmel’s comments came one day after both FBI officials and Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said that the assassin Robinson held a “leftist ideology” and was increasingly radicalized in recent years. It was also revealed that he had a romantic relationship with a transgender partner who was biologically male and transitioning to female and he had etched fascist and trans/furry words into the bullets along with texts professing that he hated Kirk and was planning to take a shot.

This is reminiscent of how Kimmel and so many on the left kept trying to tell audiences that they really didn’t see Biden stumbling, mumbling, and incompetent. Kimmel had such an inflated ego that he thought he could stand on a stage and spout lies about the things our own eyes had seen and we knew as facts. But this time he went too far in not just disparaging MAGA, but desecrating the memory of Charlie Kirk.

It seems that instead of apologizing, Kimmel was going to come on Wednesday night and double down further attacking Trump supporters claiming we twisted his comments, which plainly came from a very twisted mind. ABC wisely intervened.

We’re watching schoolteachers, even here in Idaho, pilots, nurses, doctors, school administrators and so many more actually celebrating Charlie’s assassination?! But this isn’t new. We’re appalled at watching so many who celebrate murderers instead of the victims like with Luigi Mangione who shot an insurance CEO and father of two in the back. This sick reaction is now being characterized as a “death culture” or “assassination culture” normalizing horror, especially to kids. There are actual online “gore” sites like “WatchPeopeDie,” where Charlie’s assassin maintained an account and had interacted with posts. These sites encourage diabolical behavior. You can read more about this evil use of social media here.

Fortunately, many of these sick people are encountering consequences. Praise God, the teachers influencing our children who’ve been posting left-wing ideology posts and videos for years and immediately started celebrating Charlie’s death online are now being fired. Even students are calling for them to be removed.

“And I need to say this, no child of God celebrates death. Only darkness does that. If you find yourself cheering over tragedy, you need to take a hard look at your soul. Beg God to rescue you because something else has its grip on you.” Charlie Kirk

Not only are we in a spiritual revival, we must overcome the demonic in our society with the power of Jesus Christ. If you don’t think demons are alive and active in today’s culture, there’s no other answer for the blatant overt evil in our world today.

The Bible tells us there will always be evil until Jesus returns, but as Christians, we’re supposed to put on the armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18) like Charlie with a smile, and “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere” (Eph. 6:18). Then fight the spiritual war against evil by using whatever gifts the Lord has empowered us with through the Holy Spirit. I like the way Robert Kennedy Jr. put it at the memorial, “We can develop community through conversation. Say what we mean without being mean,” just like Charlie did.

“The days of silent Christianity are over. Evil is no longer hiding in the shadows — it’s parading in the streets, demanding our agreement. To take a stand for truth does not make you “political,” it makes you a follower of Christ. Now is the time for the church to rise up, uncompromising and unafraid, declaring the Gospel with boldness and power.”—Mario Murillo.

It’s vitally important that we don’t let the emotion and horrific murder of Charlie Kirk relapse into apathy after his amazing memorial. The Holy Spirit is moving. Let’s start mentoring!

“All of you who are believers, it’s your job to shepherd [mentor] new believers. Water the seed and make it grow. The seed has only just been planted, and the enemy will go after it.” Erika Kirk at Charlie’s memorial

Legislating Morality: A Christian Duty

I’m going to do something a little different in today’s Monday Morning Blog. I want to share an article about a very important duty for Christians: taking a stand for morality in the public square. That means advocating and voting for moral laws while opposing immoral laws. Morality is NOT subjective to the individual. Morality is absolutely and unquestionably defined by the Bible not the government or a person.

Today, we’re watching rampant immorality in the streets of every city often displayed by acts of violence most notably lately by young children. What kind of moral upbringing did these thugs get in their homes if any?! Yes, we can blame it on the parents, but we can also blame it on the church. When’s the last time your pastor talked about the blatant immorality in our culture today, often being re-enforced by immoral laws?

Maybe you’re one of those people who say you don’t bother yourself with “political issues.” Well I’m going to challenge you. That kind of thinking is immoral. It’s exactly why we see random shootings escalating, violence against innocent people in the streets, and car jackings. Children groomed and indoctrinated in schools to irrationally and immorally think that they can do the impossible and change their gender. Sex trafficking of children in America is at the highest level in any country on our watch!

I’ve mentioned before that I pray every morning with Pastor Jack Hibbs on his daily Lift Scripture prayer time. What an amazing way to start the day. Several days ago, he pointed out something very interesting in Philippians 3:20 “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” The word “citizenship” in the Greek in this passage is actually the word “politics.”

Yes, we are citizens of heaven and one way we should be living that out on earth is through our politics. You and I can each make a difference if we step out of our comfort zone and into our Christian citizenship persona.

Understanding Morals

“Understanding morals is crucial for our daily lives as Christians. Morals guide us on how to live in the way that pleases God. They help us discern right from wrong, ensuring that we uphold the values and standards outlined in the Bible. By understanding the essence of morals, we align our actions and decisions with God’s will for us. The Bible offers wisdom and guidance in moral living and serves as a compass for us, directing our paths as we navigate through life’s choices. When we seek to embody these morals, we reflect God’s character and promote goodness in the world around us.”

I could go on and on. We are becoming Sodom and Gomorrah in a country once known for its Judeo/Christian values and morals. Here is the article I wanted to share, “Why Legislate Morality?” that I received in an email from Kent DelHousaye, Director of Church Engagement for Idaho Family Policy Center. I hope you’ll ponder and pray about how it might apply to you and what you could do to be a changing force in your sphere of influence.

Friends,
A common objection to the idea of promoting biblically sound public policy is that it’s not mission-critical or even worthwhile for Christians and churches to get involved in “legislating morality.” But is this objection accurate?

In short, NO. This kind of thinking is just wrong. There are actually seven reasons why we SHOULD care about “legislating morality.”

1. All legislation is moral. The only question is whose morality will be codified? There is always a moral agenda behind every piece of legislation, just as there are moral implications for every law that is adopted. The issue for us is simply whether we prefer a law that reflects a godly morality or worldly morality.

2. In a relativistic culture, accepted moral standards are determined by the laws that are passed, so the laws SERVE as the moral code of that society. If we want the ethical code of our society to be God-honoring, then we must seek to pass godly laws.

3. As Christians, moral neutrality is not an option for us. If we believe in the lordship of Christ over all things, then his lordship includes government and law. If government is God’s domain, then government and its laws must serve his purposes.

4. Since the church is a bulwark against evil, abstention from the political domain is not an option for us as it cedes the public square to ungodly leaders who co-opt it and use it for their own unfettered wicked purposes in the world.

5. Our political silence makes us complicit. Failing to speak up about evil and injustice in society undermines our credibility and our witness in the world. It implies that we are either indifferent to — or, even worse, on board with — whatever immoral laws are being passed.

6. Passing godly legislation is not in itself the solution to the wickedness of the human heart. However, moral conviction is often shaped by moral instruction. In other words, adopting laws which teach society to do the right things can often lead society to desire the right things.

7. Godly legislation is a form of evangelism. Passing God-honoring legislation glorifies God by putting his character and commands on public display for all to see who God is and how his kingdom works.

Bottom line, all legislation legislates some sort of morality—so whose morality are we legislating? Last but not least, watch this clip of IFPC President Blaine Conzatti on the Canon+ Man Rampant show responding to the question, “Can you legislate morality?” I highly recommend you give it a watch and a share!

Standing for morality,
Kent DelHousaye Director of Church Engagement

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. – Micah 6:8

To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. – Pr. 21:3

The Lord detests the way of the wicked, but he loves those who pursue righteousness. Pr. 15:9

Make the Church Bold and Courageous Again!

How many times have you heard a pastor, maybe even your own pastor, say they weren’t allowed by the IRS to speak about political issues in the church for fear of losing their 501c3 tax status? Thus, they also avoided speaking about the Bible’s stance on immoral issues that had become political like same-sex marriage, abortion, homosexuality, sexual mutilation, sterilization, and grooming of children, children and adults trying to physically or emotionally alter their sex, the assault on women by men. . . and so much more.

Many well-meaning pastors and nonprofits subscribed to that perceived IRS threat to always remain bipartisan, some innocently and some cowardly. Today with the IRS repealing any penalty on political free speech in the church, we’re going to see a litmus test of how many pastors might’ve been hiding behind this unconstitutional infringement on church rights so they wouldn’t create waves in the congregation. Keep everyone happy, even at the cost of not speaking out against unbiblical laws, politicians, and social issues. Or will we see pastors relieved to be free to address political issues from a biblical perspective? I hope and pray it’s the latter.

The answer to the question in the opening picture: Yes, they can!

History of the Johnson Amendment

President Lyndon B Johnson in 1954 didn’t like the way some churches were speaking against him and his administration, so he silenced all churches and nonprofits by an amendment prohibiting them from speaking about any political issues to remain tax exempt! In other words, denying first amendment rights to churches and nonprofits as well as infringing on freedom of religion. Many pastors even refuse to discuss controversial biblical passages in the Bible. We’ve all watched the government politicize biblical moral issues, and for the most part the church has stood silent for fear of losing money. That could be another entire topic for a blog.

Consequently, we’ve seen prayer, the Bible, the name of Jesus, the Ten Commandments, and any spiritual or religious discussion removed from schools while the church for the most part stood by in silence. SCOTUS passed Roe v Wade and the church stayed silent about the atrocities of murdering unborn babies. Most churches even remained silent when it was overturned. During the Obama Administration, SCOTUS endorsed same-sex marriage. Another biblical abomination and crickets in most churches. That’s why Jesus said you can’t love money and God. “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.” Matt. 6:24

Many pastors, like Jack Hibbs at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in California, have ignored the Johnson Amendment, just like they ignored the government trying to close their churches during COVID. They speak freely about voting godly men and women into positions of government who will fight for biblical values and laws.

Other bold pastors have said we don’t care if you take away our tax deductions, we’re going to be financially self-sufficient and preach and teach biblical truths whether it’s politically or socially correct. In the 2024 election, Harris spoke in churches and Biden before her. I didn’t hear anyone challenging them with the Johnson Amendment. In fact, I don’t think there’s ever been a case where a church or nonprofit lost their tax exemption over politics, because it’s an unconstitutional restriction on free speech so the IRS doesn’t enforce it.

Still most pastors stay neutral or silent when their parishioners need guidance in elections about voting for biblical principles or even the importance of voting. The statistics of Christians not voting is pathetically embarrassing because the majority of pastors don’t encourage them to vote. While others conduct voter registration at their church and speak of it as a civic duty of every American. Christians are not exempt from living under unfair and unbiblical laws enforced on them as we watched during the last administration. Think of the spiritual potential in America if ALL Christians voted.

We Must Pray!

We’re at this opportune juncture today because the National Religious Broadcasters association and two Texas churches sued the government over the Johnson Amendment infringement on free speech. Currently the DOJ, the 2 churches, IRS, and NRB’s litigation has a consent decree they’ve all agreed on to settle the case and rescind the unconstitutional Johnson Amendment. But at the last minute, the Americans United For Separation of Church and State (a lie) have intervened to object to derail the consent decree at the last moment. We need to pray the judge moves forward to finalize the settlement and denies the intervention.

It’s so obvious when you look at the two party’s platforms that we’ve gotten to the place today where I for one am not afraid to state that Satan has hijacked the Democrat party. They have become the party of murdering babies, sexually mutilating and indoctrinating children, deceiving vulnerable children that God made them wrong, endorsing sexual perversion, men playing in women’s sports, trying to eliminate womanhood, replacing American citizens with illegals, removing parental rights, promoting Marxists Communist candidates, lawfare against their opponents, encouraging violence and mayhem, defunding the police while attacking ICE agents. The church can now speak openly straight from the Bible, like many of us have already been doing, that these are all satanic fueled rituals.

I want to share with you next an explanation and encouragement I received from the Idaho Family Policy Center, which also offers a resource for pastors. This is going to be a big beautiful step for pastors to step out, speak out, and take a public biblical stand for righteousness in our government and shake off the cloak of fear that has plagued many in the past.

Friends,

Many pastors labor under the misconception that the Johnson Amendment prevents them from providing biblical commentary on hot button political and cultural issues.

This prevailing narrative has been pushed by anti-Christian groups hoping to bludgeon pastors into silence on issues about which the Bible speaks clearly, including the sanctity of human life, parental rights, religious freedom, and biblical sexuality and gender.

But here’s the thing: Even under the Johnson Amendment, churches have always been able to speak on political issues from a biblical perspective; they were prohibited only from engaging in campaign activities.

Thankfully, the IRS guidance promulgated earlier this week gives churches even more clarity on just how far they can go without running afoul of the Johnson Amendment and risking their 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

Importantly, the IRS guidance issued earlier this week clarifies that a church does not violate the Johnson Amendment when it “speaks to its congregation, through its customary channels of communication on matters of faith in connection with religious services, concerning electoral politics viewed through the lens of religious faith.”

So what does this mean for churches? It seems that the IRS is acknowledging that churches do have the ability to speak into political campaigns—even going so far as to endorse a specific candidate from the pulpit as part of a regular worship service.

But the boundaries around when and how pastors and churches may endorse candidates are still blurry. It’s also worth noting that many states – including Idaho – have laws on the books regulating how non-profit churches can endorse candidates or support ballot initiatives. Those state laws remain wholly unaffected by the new IRS guidance.

While there is still some uncertainty about the full implications of this new IRS guidance, one thing is certain: It’s a step in the right direction. Churches are not meant to be passive bystanders in the public square—something the IRS is now explicitly acknowledging.

In the coming months, Idaho Family Policy Center will be releasing a toolkit to our Pastors’ Network outlining what exactly the decision of the IRS means and how Idaho churches should engage in political races moving forward.

If your pastors are not already a member of our Pastors’ Network, now is the perfect time to joinEncourage your pastors to sign up now so they receive the forthcoming Johnson Amendment toolkit when we release it—as well as other resources to help them engage culture from a biblical perspective!

Standing for a bold and courageous church,

Blaine Conzatti, President and Kent DelHousaye, Director of Church Engagement

Warrior Pastors

In the past, few pastors have been warriors willing to challenge the system and bravely speak biblical truth to demonic cultural issues that have become politicized by Satan’s twisted war plan. We need pastors, preachers, priests, and ministers to not be intimidated by fear or popular opinion. The Bible is not a feel good Book endorsing all our feelings and desires. It’s the Word of God, which can be challenging, sometimes convicting, but always life changing and spiritually maturing. The Bible draws us out of cowering in worldly darkness into the bright light of living a spirit-filled life.

You can’t read and teach the Bible without countering today’s woke liberal agenda. Ok pastors no more excuses. It’s your job and responsibility to discuss with your congregations political issues that are biblically wrong and how we should respond to today’s secular culture being imposed on citizens.

Speak up! Speak out! Be bold. Be Courageous. No more hiding behind the misconceptions of church and state or fear of losing tax exemption. The “state” has invaded the church and it’s past time to regain your right in the pulpit to stand for Truth and voting biblically as responsible Christian citizens.

Let’s join forces with our pastors and Make America Biblical Again!

Let’s Celebrate June as “Life Month”

I’ve always looked forward to June as the official kickoff of my favorite summer season. But like many of you, I’ve found myself dreading being inundated and assaulted with a fringe activist group trying to force their choice of lifestyle on the public. Pride parades and rainbow flags mock and jeer at the very God who withholds his righteous judgment on the earth.

The entire gay/trans agenda is about attempting to normalize perverted sexual desires and actions taken out of bedrooms and flaunted in streets, stores, commercials, entertainment, media, government, sports, schools . . . culture. “Gay” or “trans” has become such a part of culture that many intelligent people have disassociated it from what it actually is all about, SEX!

Terms like gay, trans, and even pride make the perverted sexual movement sound mild and neutral, which is their goal. How many people would be comfortable having heterosexism indecently displayed in public on flags and paraded down the streets? Why then do we tolerate homosexual displays?

Most people have just closed their eyes and ears, taken a big gulp, and bought into the lie that they have to smile and “tolerate” lewd sexual immorality. Any pushback called “hate” or “intolerance.” Well, God does hate this behavior. He doesn’t tolerate sin, and if you’re a Bible-believing Christian, you shouldn’t either. We don’t have to tolerate perversity.

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate. Pr. 8:13

We show love to our own families, friends, congregants, and culture when we help people choose a lifestyle pleasing to God. When we go along with pride in sexual perversity, we’re going counter to God.

Every family encounters prodigals of some sort, but that doesn’t make their ungodly choices right just because they’re our children, friends, or family members. We acknowledge that their behavior is sinful and wrong and passionately pray for them to find their way to God or back to God. If we truly believe in heaven and hell, we want our children and family in heaven with us. If they’ve chosen sin, whatever it might be, they’ve chosen hell. It breaks our hearts, but it breaks God’s heart even more.

Long before June was designated as sin month, June 2 has been the day for 24 years that thousands of people from around the world join in a day of prayer for those who are walking away from God, their families and making destructive choices. We don’t celebrate prodigals, we pray for their eyes to open and turn from their wicked ways so why would any Christian participate in pride activities except to evangelize in love.

An encouraging headline jumped out at me as I was preparing to write this blog. “Boise Pride Season Kickoff canceled due to low attendance.” I first saw the article on Idaho Liberty Dogs Facebook page. Their introduction to the post read, “Shout out to those of you who stood with us last year to protest Nampa Pride “all ages event” and exposed the public nudity that occurred around the presence of children. This is a win! Thank you and congratulations!!!”

So many things to unpack from this, but the one that stands out the loudest to me is that moral common sense citizens stood up against the lewd perversion and public sexual exposure openly flaunted and even celebrated on the streets of Idaho. We can make a difference when we’re brave enough and bold enough to speak out against sin and satan.

Yes, satan! Only deceived and demonized people would think a public display of perverted sex would be acceptable to God or Jesus. Yet, sadly, there are churches and so-called “Christians” who proudly fly the perverted sex flag in the name of inclusivity, which actually excludes the God they profess to worship.

Why do I say “so-called?” Because no Bible-believing Christian can read Scriptures like the following and think a perverted sinful lifestyle is okay with God. God loves everyone, but he doesn’t love sin. He wants everyone to repent from sin, turn from their wicked ways, ask for forgiveness and repent. That’s what love does. God doesn’t want anyone going to hell, but the road to heaven is narrow and few actually choose it.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Cor. 6:9-10

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matt, 7:13-14

Remember the city of Sodom and Gomorrah. What was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah? According to Genesis 19, the sin involved homosexuality. The very name of that ancient city is where the term sodomy derives: “copulation between two men, whether consensual or forced.” Clearly, homosexuality was part of why God destroyed the two cities. The men of Sodom and Gomorrah wanted to perform homosexual acts on what they thought were two men.

“‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.” Lev. 18:22

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. Roman 1:26-28

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 6:23

Why June Is “Life Month”

When you look at the above Scriptures how many of you would tolerate a month dubbed “Thieves Month”? Or “Adulterer’s Month”? Or “Pornography Month”? Or “Murderers Month”? Or “Drunkards Month”? So why would anyone, especially Christians, even use the term or acknowledge “Pride Month” when God hates pride, especially when it represents a sexual sin He calls an abomination.

I’ve heard suggestions to rename June Veteran’s Month or Family month and those are good ideas too, but here’s why I’m in favor of calling June Life Month.

A commentary by Owen Strachan in The Washington Stand, “June Is Life Month, Not Pride Month,” Owen wrote:

“From many angles, the entire tone of June in America has shifted. It is one of aggressive approval of a heart attitude that the Word of God rebukes in no uncertain terms: pride. To be proud in one’s natural instincts and desires is to go against God at full velocity. It is to put oneself under certain threat of eternal judgment. Sin, after all, is at base nothing other than pride — it is choosing one’s way over God’s way, and one’s instinctual desires over God’s eternal truth. How we Christians should tremble and pray for all who exult in Pride Month. How we should reach out to them, and proclaim Christ in love to fellow sinners just like us.”

As Christians, we should be commemorating and celebrating that in June 2022, the U. S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade. God decided to strike Roe down in the very middle of Pride Month! Think about that. As Owen Strachan says, “What a rebuke! What an otherworldly intervention. . . believers should celebrate genuinely God-given victories. We who are saved by grace would be ungrateful children indeed if we did not honor this great outcome in the public square, one akin to the ban on slavery in Wilberforce’s day. Toward that end, here’s my encouragement: all through June, celebrate “Life Month.””

Yes, God is love and God loves life! He created life and we should celebrate that especially as Christians!

When my grandson was only nine years old, he could see that God was against homosexuality because “there would be no people.” He understood at that young age that a man and woman having sex together created life, something two men or two women together cannot do because that wasn’t God’s plan for sex or proliferating the earth.

Many homosexuals and male women imposters have experienced trauma, difficult family dynamics, or mental illness. They’re searching for love and acceptance literally in all the wrong places. Young people are groomed and radicalized on TikTok. This is tragic.

A generation is throwing away their future by trying to be something God never intended for them to be. They believe the lie that they would be happier if they could just become another gender or find their significance and identity by pretending they’re something they’ll never be. They’re broken people with damaged lives, and the Gospel is the only answer to the void in their hearts they’re trying so desperately to fill. They need Jesus. They need to know that they’ll find their identity and self-worth in being the best man or woman God created them to be.

We need to be Christians who share the truth with them in love. Pray for the lost and show them a better way of living. Pray diligently for anyone living a lie to seek spiritual and psychological counseling.

Neil Mamann of Values Advocacy Council says, “In my conversations with former homosexuals, many shared that what kept them from hearing the Gospel was being told they were going to hell simply for being gay. What ultimately led them to Christ, however, was hearing the Gospel from people who, while never condoning their sin, genuinely cared for them and shared that Jesus loved them. After coming to faith, they came under conviction and chose to leave that lifestyle.”

So, I encourage you not to be silent this month. Don’t be intimidated or threatened by a pagan culture. Don’t go along to get along. You’ll never find that acceptable in the Bible. The most loving thing you can do for all people is to share the Gospel loud and clear and pray that many who have been deceived by satan’s message of deception and lies will hear God’s message of love and forgiveness not just in June but every day until Christ’s return.

I hope you’ll celebrate June as Life Month. Look for opportunities to counter evil with good!

Have a “Meaningful Memorial Day!”

I remember as a kid going to the cemetery every Memorial Day to put flowers and flags on my father’s grave, a World War II veteran, and on other soldier’s graves. There was always a ceremony. I don’t know how much that tradition continues today. It should. Our small town has a memorial wall at the park where people can purchase and place a brick in memory and honor of a local Gold Star family’s fallen soldier. There’s also a ceremony in their remembrance.

Memorial Day is often “celebrated” as the beginning of summer, with a day off, BBQ’s and parties. But it’s actually a very solemn day to pay tribute to and mourn members of the military who died in service to their country. It’s a deeply personal day for many Gold Star families who lost loved ones in military service. It’s a day to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the country they loved.

If you’re a Gold Star family, Memorial Day is truly a personal day of remembrance of your loved one and an ache in your heart that never completely goes away but may soften with time . . . or not.

As we honor the life of brave men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom, instead of saying “Happy Memorial Day,” can I suggest it’s more appropriate to say, “I wish you a Meaningful Memorial Day.”

National Law Enforcement Appreciation Month and Memorial!

May is also the month to honor those who lost their lives protecting us from harm domestically. The entire month of May is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Month. May 15th is National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which May 15 falls is National Police Week.

Far too often, we hear Police Chiefs tearfully making statements like, “We’re heartbroken to make this announcement of the shooting of three of our officers. We ask for your support and prayers for our fellow officers and their families as we try to cope with yet another tragic event in our police family.”

I understand the toll this job can take on the officers and their families. I was so proud of my handsome father when he put on his California Highway Patrolman uniform and badge. Until the morning I woke up to wails and sobs coming from our living room filled with people. Even as a ten-year-old, I knew intuitively my father was gone. When he kissed me goodbye as he left for work that evening, it would be the last time I ever saw him alive. A reality our family lived with every day, but one we never thought would happen to us, until it did.

The job of a peace officer is to run toward danger, at the risk of his or her own life, to save and protect strangers. It once was a noble respected profession, but today’s culture has come to expect that many will die senselessly. Their death barely makes the local news.

President Trump is changing that when last week he awarded the new “Medal of Sacrifice” to the families of three fallen Florida police officers. “Congressman Brian Mast has introduced a bill to ensure this new medal will be awarded to any law enforcement officer or first responder who gives his or her life in the line of duty,” President Trump said.

“For the first time in our nation’s history — all of our first responders, all of our law enforcement, all of our firefighters — we’re going to recognize that sacrifice from the office of the presidency,” said Congressman Mast. “And that has never taken place before.”

We can also honor all police officers by using respectful words when talking about and to them. Pray when you see police officers patrolling or a police car on the road. Don’t pray for yourself that they don’t pull you over, but pray because you don’t know what awaits them the next time they make a traffic stop. When you hear a siren, pray. We never know when we, or our loved ones, might be the life they’re rushing to save.

Four Prayers for Police Officers and Their Families

Prayer for Protection

Lord, we don’t know why You implant in the hearts of brave men and women to choose a profession that requires walking into danger and putting their life on the line to stop lawlessness and crime. You’ve given them a willingness to enforce the law to protect the communities where they serve. Are they fearless? Unintimidated? Thrill seekers? Or do they truly love their neighbor more than themselves and want to do their part in justice for all?

Only You know for sure, Lord, what motivates them, but we do know they need a band of angels surrounding them with a hedge of protection. Lord, they face evil and the dark side of life every day. They see the worst of people and people at their worst. Their work tools are weapons. We pray Lord for their safety as they walk up to a car or house or unknown situation never knowing what danger awaits them. If they know You Lord, remind them to say their own prayer of protection and ask You to intervene against any foe. Perhaps something like David prayed, “I come to you for protection, O Lord my God. Save me from my persecutors—rescue me!” (Psalm 1:7 NLT).

When they emerge safe and victorious, Father, as David did when he was rescued from Saul, give them a heart to give You the glory. If they don’t know You as their Savior, become real to these officers. Let them know You took the bullet for them. Amen

“God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.” (2 Samuel 22:31 NLT)

Prayer for Wisdom and Guidance

Lord, police officers’ days are filled with uncertainties and unknowns as they make quick and often life-changing or life-threatening decisions. Help them to be wise and invoke all their training and experience before moving or speaking. When they have the opportunity to investigate a situation before taking action and engaging, give them patience not to rush to judgement or anger. If they discern a quick decision or movement is required, direct them to move swiftly but safely. If they need to wait for back up or ask for help, don’t let them be prideful or rash but consider the best outcome for everyone involved.

For those who have a relationship with You, remind them that You’re always there for them, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking” (James 1:5 NLT).

Guide them with their conscience and their code of conduct. Help them remember the protocol and give them the courage to do the next right thing for the best outcome. When they need to take orders from their chain of command, give them humble but steady hearts and guard their words.

Give them compassion when they determine there is no ill intent but also a keen awareness for deception. Remind them that they may not have all the evidence to make a final decision. Help them to see the good in people, and don’t let their hearts become hardened and calloused by the deceit and dark-side of life they encounter daily. Amen

“I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.” (Psalm 119:125)

Prayer for Their Families

Father, You’ve graciously given two families to every police officer: their personal family and their professional family. To their personal families, please give strength to endure the demanding schedule of a police officer. Provide understanding and flexibility for the times when their officer isn’t available for special occasions.

Instill the family with compassion when he or she doesn’t want to talk about their work and give the family intuition to know when their officer needs the space to decompress when returning home. May the family never minimize the significance of a police officer’s work. Let home be a place of solace when he or she returns safely but perhaps scarred by what they’ve seen and experienced.

Lord, it takes a special kind of love and patience to live with police officers. Remind the family members to pray for their officer daily and to let him or her know they’re prayed over, appreciated, and loved. Help family members to be alert and responsive when their officer is showing signs of stress, overwork, and trauma and encourage them to seek help. Likewise, Father surround the family with those who will notice the tenuous relationships that can develop within the family members.

Father, these precious and brave families make sacrifices few understand. Fill their homes with love, peace, joy, grace, and closeness because they support a police officer even at their own sacrifice.

Lord, every officer also has a close work family bond. They’re a team who have each other’s back and depend on one another for support, encouragement, skill, and camaraderie in facing the challenges of the job. Lord, bring unity and synergy to these men and women as they guard each other’s lives while working together to keep the streets of their communities safe and free of crime.

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” (Romans 12:10)

Prayer for Mourners of Those Lost in the Line of Duty

Father, there are no more heart wrenching screams than, “Officer down.” Except perhaps the torment of a family opening the door to see two fellow officers of their officer standing with grim faces and tears welling in their eyes as the family falls to its knees with guttural shrieks, “No God, please no!” Or maybe You hear them wailing, “Why God, how could You do this when they were only trying to protect our community?” “Lord, where were You when they were dying?”

Lord, how does anyone comfort this family? Like Jeremiah they wail, “My grief is beyond healing; my heart is broken” (Jeremiah 18:18 NLT). There are no human answers to satisfy or soothe their agonizing wounds of grief, anger, and sorrow. Only You can Lord. Psalm 147:3 assures, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”  Psalm 34:18 NLT confirms, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”

We beg of You to surround them with love. Bring others to their side who’ve experienced their pain and understand the deep ache in their heart to pray with and for them. Keep away those who patronizingly tell them everything will be all right, because for this family, it will never be all right again.

Father, You know the fellow officers who mourn with the family, especially those who were with the fallen officer. Remove the repeated nightmares of asking themselves what they could’ve done differently or why wasn’t it them in the coffin. Lord, You know that the death of their fellow officer will always haunt them and the memory will never fade. Father guide them to the help they need to recover from what they’ve seen and don’t let it cause division among the unit or place any in danger with fear and hesitancy. Guide them in keeping their focus on work when they’re on duty and help guard their minds from the “what-ifs” when they try to sleep at night. Help them rest and renew their resolve to do their job to the best of their ability.

Father, we know You mourn with these families. Give them whatever they need. Walk beside them Father. If they know You as their Lord and Savior, draw them into Your embrace and fill them with a peace that passes all understanding. For those who don’t know You, open their eyes to seek You, the only source of relief from their anguish. Let them feel Your presence grieving with them. Your tears. Your hugs. Your love. Amen

Note: I want to thank all of you who prayed for my husband and me while Dave went through another major spine surgery six weeks ago. I’ve been busy caretaking for him so you may have noticed there were no Monday Morning Blogs. Hopefully, I can get back to writing, but I will be discontinuing my About His Work Ministries Newsletter that appeared on the last Monday of the month.

God, NOT The Government, Controls the Climate!

You can’t turn on the news today without hearing about the “LA Apocalypse” of wind and fire that has destroyed thousands of homes, displaced over 100,000 people, and taken 24 lives as of this writing. The LA sheriff expects the loss of life count will go up when they’re able to search through the ashes for those who have gone missing. Not to mention the wildlife that couldn’t escape. The pictures we see of charred cars, burnt homes and businesses looks like the fictional movies depicting the apocalyptic end of the world.

Certainly, it could seem like the end of their world to those impacted by these horrific fires with the loss of keepsakes, treasures, possessions, clothes, shelter, homes, and maybe even lives. We need to be praying for the first responders, firefighters, and residents—rich or poor—who only escaped with the clothes on their backs and maybe a computer and pets.

What’s Predictable is Preventable

What has infuriated many watching and experiencing this crisis unfold, is California government’s neglect to prepare the residents and take preventive preparation when the National Weather Service had issued numerous red flag warnings of a dangerous situation brewing. Finger pointing, excuses, lying, and blaming instead of taking responsibility and showing leadership is the government response. There’s an apparent lack of sincere compassion and caring by the governor and mayor whose job it is to protect the residents of California. Instead, they seem more concerned about their own political futures or defending their political agenda.

When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan. Pr. 29:2

Then there’s the liberal politicians in Washington who immediately start touting the climate change hoax as the cause, which helps no one and is a lie straight from the devil.

Remember back in the Garden of Eden where Satan tempted Adam and Eve with the idea that they could be God. That didn’t work out well for them and it doesn’t for us either. No matter how smart or scientific man thinks he is, God created climate, the weather, and the wind. In the Bible, wind is mentioned 247 times and in 41 Books in the Bible. The first time was right after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit after Satan told them they could be like God (Gen. 5).

When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees. Gen. 3:8 NLT

Winds became violent in biblical times too. For example, Job 1:19, 23; Jer. 4:11, 13:24; Ex. 14:21, 26. And who can forget Jesus quieting the winds with the disciples in the boat during a storm. These might’ve been 100 mile per hour winds too, maybe worse.

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” Mark 4:40-41

Wind isn’t new. Seasonal weather changes aren’t new. Fire isn’t new. Sadly, man thinking He can control what only God controls isn’t new either.

What is new is . . .

  • Dry fire hydrants with no water!
  • The LA water chief admitting her work is guided through an ‘equity lens.’
  • The LA fire chief touted as a “lesbian” whose goal is to make the fire department more DEI staffed.
  • The LA mayor being on a junket to Ghana and cutting the fire department’s budget by $17 million.
  • The governor cutting fire management budget by $100M a few months before the lethal fires!
  • Because of budget cuts, using prisoners and firefighters from Mexico to help battle the blazes.
  • The governor sending rain and snow water out to the ocean and shutting down four dams in the state while nearby reservoirs are empty.
  • And on and on…

Over the years, man’s atheistic attempt to corral and control the weather has been called climate change, climate control, global warming, greenhouse gasses, climate crisis, climate emergency, climate breakdown, polar vortex, and the latest “green new deal,” which climate cult alarmist AOC said in 2019 we’d all be dead in 12 years if not followed. Before AOC, others made similar wild predictions that never materialized.

When AOC and liberals first proposed the green new deal, it was considered a ridiculous joke. Yet today, liberal states like California have used it to create an environment safer for fish than for people! They’ve wasted billions of dollars to satisfy environmentalists while not clearing brush, doing controlled burns, logging, or collecting the rain and snowfall God sends to help put out fires.

Man tries to predict the weather that God sends, but that weather forecast can change minute by minute. In the case of California, high velocity Santa Ana winds were predicted in the LA area and winds often lead to fire from fallen power lines or arsonists, maybe even terrorist, who use the winds to nefariously and satanically start fires.

Before moving to Idaho almost 14 years ago, I lived my entire life in SoCal. I’ve experienced earthquakes, Santa Ana winds which I thought was going to rip off my roof the night before my wedding, fires which caused several evacuations in an area where we had a cabin, and mudslides when the rains come after the fires. So, I understand California weather and I know it’s important to vote in government officials who care more about protecting their constituents and the land then the latest DEI or progressive liberal ideology.

Here’s what I also know about God and weather regardless of the state you live in.

  • God created fire and it’s a significant symbol of divine manifestations in the Bible. God appeared to Moses in a burning bush and the pillar of fire led the Israelites by night through the desert, representing the presence and power of God.
  • We see other Demonstrations of God’s power and authority, such as Elijah’s sacrifice and fiery furnace in Daniel, showcase the divine ability to consume and protect through fire.
  • The Holy Spirit descending as tongues of fire at Pentecost signifies spiritual empowerment and the purifying work of God in believers’ lives.
  • The Lake of Fire serves as a cautionary warning for believers and unbelievers, reminding them of the consequences of rejecting God, His Son, and His righteousness.

Everyone Needs the Lord Now More Than Ever! Is God Trying to Get Our Attention?

We’re experiencing weekly, sometimes daily, crises and catastrophes. While many of us remain hopeful that progressive woke, DEI policies, illegal invasion, terrorism, and crime will be contained under a new presidency, only God knows the future. We need to put our trust in Him and not in our government. Government will surely fail us because they often forget they’re NOT God. Listen for the still small voice like Elijah heard after the wind, the earthquake, and the fire.

“Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. 1 Kings 19:11-13

The True Meaning of Apocalypse

Tom Gilbreath wrote in “A Message From HalLindsey.com” On January 12, 2025 . . .

The word apocalypse means “reveal” or “revelation.” We associate the word with massive, fiery disasters because of the horrors described in the book of Revelation. But the first five words of that book tell what it’s really about — “The revelation of Jesus Christ.”

With the real definition in mind, I hope that Los Angeles and California, along with the rest of America, will view this as a wakeup call. Actor Dennis Quaid, on a local television news report Friday night, said, “I think there’s a spiritual awakening on the other side of this.” May it be so. May there be a real apocalypse — a revelation. May Christ be revealed, and may America see the light.

Pastor Jack Hibbs, I wrote about in last week’s blog 2025 A Year of New Beginnings, that I’m praying with him on Facebook live every morning, was fired up in his Sunday morning message on January 12, 2025. He doesn’t hold back. Here’s a clip of who he thinks should run for Governor in California and LA mayor.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
    instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
    instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.

They will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
Is. 61:1-4
